Its so hard to get the attentions of Sultan Suleiman when he has a harem full of beautiful women. Only few survives, those favorites who walks on a golden path are also fighting for Sultan Suleiman's attention. She tried to kill Hurrem and her unborn child "A dynasty member". How could any dynasty member ever forgive her for that?? Valide? Hatice? Sah? Fatma? Suleiman? they all knew what she did and let her get away with it. Her only punishment was losing the Sultans affections. No one other than Hurrem was ever held accountable in this show. Not to mention had the Sultan eaten the dessert he could've died. Was the plan to kill both the Sultan and Hurrem so that Mustafa would've been crowned Sultan??? In real life mahidevran hatun was sent away from the palace after she beat up hurrem. I can't remember how long for or if she ever even returned to the palace but she was definitely sent away. And she was never a sultana, talk less of haseki sultan .. the haseki title was literally created for hurrem by suleiman.

Vittoria, I agree Mahidevran is selfish and arrogant. Had she humbled herself and worried about her son, maybe life would've been different for them. Real Suley was actually much better and had more dignity, than this womanizer, as it turned out. He would never keep hurting Hurrem like this, and like many other examples in these series. Real Suley threw Mahi away from the palace right after she tried to beat Hurrem up, in the very beginning. And since then, Mahi lived far away from the palace. She was never a "haseki", she wasn`t even beautiful. She never had that much of support from ANY of the prominent women in that palace, neither from Hafsa, nor from Hatice, nor from anyone else. So, Mahi was just a temporary Sultan`s favourite, who didn`t have any actual power. And back then it even didn`t matter too much, if Mustafa was Suley`s first son, because in those times the main deciding factor of everything was only a padishah`s word and will. So, the film`s scriptwriters made it aaaall up :)) - just for piling up the drama. And it`s interesting, how they sometimes try to portray the raising of mindfulness of some people in some situations, as if they had lived in our time, or as if it could have been happening in some parallel Universe. :))

Real Suley was actually much better and had more dignity, than this womanizer,
as it turned out.
He would never keep hurting Hurrem like this, and like many other examples in these series.
Real Suley threw Mahi away from the palace right after she tried to beat Hurrem up,
in the very beginning. And since then, Mahi lived far away from the palace.
She was never a "haseki", she wasn`t even beautiful.
She never had that much of support from ANY of the prominent women in that palace, neither from Hafsa, nor from Hatice, nor from anyone else. So, Mahi was just a temporary Sultan`s favourite, who didn`t have any actual power.
And back then it even didn`t matter too much, if Mustafa was Suley`s first son, because in those times the main deciding factor of everything was only a padishah`s word and will.
So, the film`s scriptwriters made it aaaall up :)) - just for piling up the drama. And it`s interesting, how they sometimes try to portray the raising of mindfulness of some people in some situations, as if they had lived in our time, or as if it could have been happening in some parallel Universe. :))
