i'm a 69 year old rock and metalhead that discovered japanese girl bands in 2016. BAND MAID , DESTROSE, SCANDAL , LOVEBITES and many more have been ruling my musical world since then. never watched one anime in my entire life - had no interest - until by chance i watched s1 e1 of BANGDREAM about 6 months ago. instantly fell in love with the series and kasumi when she finds the red esp random star in arisa's warehouse. the characters and bands are all adorable and the series is very entertaining. a girl band mecca - great idea brought to life with many differing characters - all quite lovable. love to see a fourth season as i have watched the first three over and over

Tomoe (afterglow drummer) voice actress does somewhat play an instrument... a left hand bass for her role Mio Akiyama from K-on!

I joined the fandom in 2020 i guess but then left for a bit but now i have come back I dont play the game anymore bc than my phone is gonna explode but I really love the bands!! Thank you so much for this video I learned so much this was actually an interesting history lesson lmao

might think about it. Ofc Bandori has evolved a lot. Maybe I'll make a focus video on both of them. Tbf my plan was this to start my Bandori series where i talk about the anime and stuff but i never really got into it. Maybe soon who knows 👀

Video game and anime fandoms- or just fandoms in general- tend to freak me out so I'm still not as active with bandori's but I had a genuine sigh of relief knowing that I'm not the only one who likes Tear Drops

I prefer Betadori actually. The manga was really powerful actually, surprisingly so, and all the characters were extremely enjoyable. Gotta say though, I don’t think I would describe beta Tae as a tsundere.

I have a confession to make although I do admit that I have some harsh criticisms about Yurishii and Akeko's replacements for the role of Lisa and Rinko, Nakashima Yuki and Shizaki Kanon I want to make it clear that though I made harsh criticisms about them I never went to harassed them on their personal accounts like in Twitter or Instagram and my critique is more of constructive criticism and I just based my critique in the standards of music and I don't hate them as a human being. Let's start with Nakashima Yuki to be honest my transition to her being Lisa isn't that difficult since she has Yurishii's blessings and they even performed together in BanG Dream! 5th Live in May of 2018 although I have to admit that her voice is almost identical to Yurishii in both Lisa's speaking and singing voice my only critique about her is her bass playing skills cause there are some notes, grooves, and slaps that she couldn't nail properly. Still, at least she made an improvement over the years. About Shizaki Kanon this is a hard one and the one I made a lot of criticism for. first and foremost my initial reaction was that I was super underwhelmed I was like really?! Is this your girl? is this someone you will get to replace Akeko cause make no mistake Akeko is already an established seiyuu and a veteran of the business and you will replace her with this amateur? I mean sure piano skills are okay but my only issue about her is her voice since I prefer singers with a high vocal range like Aimi and Akeko who also sing in a lower register and the deepness of Kanon's voice kinda bothers me a bit and she kinda has an attitude that I can't explain like she never mentioned her predecessor Akeko not even once, also she never said anything about Mai-chan the one who replaced her in Happy Around! in D4DJ and what really turned me off about Kanon a bit is during Bushiroad's 15th Anniversary last November 13, 2022, where her mates in Roselia did take pictures with Happy Around! and she's the only one who isn't there despite the fact that she also performed with Roselia. I mean just taking a picture together won't hurt and at least show the fans that it's okay, they could move on now about her departure in D4DJ but no! It made me see her as a bit insecure cause Mai-chan performed Rei much better than Kanon in that event she literally smokes Kanon in all aspects of vocal range, piano skills, and even dancing skills and to be honest, if BanG Dream! just look a little longer Mai-chan could have been a perfect replacement for Akeko as Rinko since her voice is really identical to Akeko than Kanon's. Lastly though still not my favorite Rinko at least Kanon showed more interest in Roselia than in Happy Around! and stayed in Roselia for 5 years now and though she's not Akeko and never will at least her voice fits much better in Roselia than in Happy Around!.

Thanks for doing this, but it's just too much information all at once. I got lost several times. You jumped around from the original ideas, to the anime, to music, back to anime etc far too many times, and so quickly. It just became a blur.

@@TheAnimeWeeb I honestly don't know exactly, but as someone who knows only the RAS and Roselia live shows, I was looking for an introduction to the other bands and the anime. I think I would have focused less on dates of events and what are clearly fandom memes and in-jokes and more time introducing the characters beyond "X girl is played by Y actress who also played A B C & D characters in L M & N shows". Yes, it shows knowledge and might point people to other franchises, but as an introduction to the characters, it didn't really help me. I wanted to know about the character in the anime, how they meet and form the bands, maybe more on how the bands relate to each other. What the story actually is (without spoiling too much) 🙂
@@teuchterloon9130 okay, you misinterpreted the point of this video. I am trying to cover the timeline of the project as a whole, not specifically the fictional side. The IRL part is what drives Bandori as a whole so they are equally important. So, as an introduction to the series, I'd like to introduce Bang Dream as a "Multi-media Project" rather than just the anime/game.
That doesn't mean that I won't focus on the anime/game ofc, that's a future series of vids (maybe soon this week or something idk, plz sub)
