HR-V is a great car. I have had 3 hondas . The older HR-V petrol I had was from 1998 and it was a great car. I am getting the 1.5 petrol i-VTec turbo sport automatic now from 2020. Going to test drive next week. Can't wait, she's a beauty and would drive it easily for 10 years
I have a 2022 model. I live in New England in the USA and we can get pretty harsh winters. The all wheel drive is the selling point for me along with the great gas mileage.
Nice to know your market got some drive train options, here in Straya Honda saw fit to offer it only with the R18 petrol engine from 1979, albeit an oldie but a goodie, but only with a Constantly Vulnerable Transmissions. Good to hear UK buyers are keeping manuals alive.
I'm buying one of these. Always loved Honda's. It is funny that the HRV has a smaller engine than my old 89 accord but if it's anything like that accord, I will end up driving it for a long time. I'm more interested in reliability and longevity than torque or speed so I think it's going to be a great fit for me.
I like you how cheekily (or perhaps with intent) described Nissan Juke as 'wilfully outlandish', Peugeot 2008 as 'rather bland', and Jeep Renegade as 'rather ugly' 😂😂 I have to agree with your take on Jeep Renegade. There's only so much ugliness my eyes can take when I see it around town (sorry, my dear Renegade owners) lol
I have a 2020 EX 1.5 Petrol. We changed from the Civic (1litre turbo) to accommodate our dog. The petrol engine is bearable but lacks any punch, compared to the Civic. The audio system in the new HR-V is actually an earlier version of the one used in the Civic and is really quite poor in comparison with flaky Digital radio reception and no Apple CarPlay. For moving the dog around, etc. it is great but is really lacking in the driving power and audio fronts.

Leasing is better if you can write it off as a business expense. Otherwise, keeping it for at least 10 years will likely cost less. I study the April issue of Consumer Reports magazine at a library every year, for reliability going back 8 years and for owners satisfaction ratings, from over 400 thousand surveys per year. Carsthatlast videos on UA-cam are good for older vehicles. I test drove a CRV- slow, and the engine was noisy and vibrated a lot. To me, the Mazda CX-3 drives better, with less room inside. I might buy the Kia Niro hybrid instead for less fuel per year, or go down to the Honda Fit. I went up to a Mazda CX-5, used with 10 thousand miles.

Silly thought, just pushing the pollution further up the supply chain.... the ONLY answer is hydrogen fuel cells.... Battery powered vehicles are short lived, dangerous to operate and keep, dangerous to produce and ship, cause significant damage to the planet in order to mine and refine the rare earth elements used in the battery cells, and indeed the rest of the drive train. Hybrid is far far better than plug in only.

I am Japanese and own this early model HR-V. The size is just right and it is easy to drive. I plan to ride for 10 years.
That's great to hear - thanks for watching! 👍
I have the 2020 Honda HRV Sport AWD....TOTALLY LOVE IT.
Amazing news, Kitty! Glad you're enjoying your Honda 👍

Quoting in MM is silly. Give us a meaningful unit. M would be preferred, I think by all
Speak for yourself! I'm perfectly comfortable with millimetres
Yes
Does it have an automatic version also.?
Price?
great reviews but it would be nice if you gave a price even if its the dealers on the screen price before discount

2445m is what in American length ?
2.45metres or 8.15 feet.
Empty out that filthy vacuum tank.....
The quick answer is, NO. It's boring, nothing fancy, no innovation, garbage CVT, and stupidly expensive. Not value for money at all!
They used to cost 17000$. Not anymore.

Should anyone be considering a non electric car in these times of climate change. Buy electric.
yes buy electric and stop 5 times going from manchester to cornwall or kent to recharge no thanks
@@stugill4513 that's if you can find a charger......oh and if it's a hot day and you need Aircon on make that 7 times.
I'll be continuing to buy ICE powered vehicles for as long as I can. I have absolutely zero interest in electric cars.
