Looking back, this raid was definitely the peak of this expansion. Just an epic battle of horde vs alliance with unique challenging bosses in a grand setting with this amazing battle music.
Shoulda made more like this instead of going sideways into Azshara or old gods shit
@@fmagistel Should have allowed Horde loyalists to be the ones to assassinate Thrall, or let the Horde actually kill Jaina, and written the players of both factions into never wanting anything to do with each other again rather than go for reconciliation.

I don't play the game now but I am always awaiting the drop of a new patch with bated breath for the soundtrack. BFA's soundtrack has been one of the best I think. So much memorable and utterly brilliant music.
I hate what the game has become, but honestly, as a big fan of the troll lore, Zandalar was the only, really the only thing in the three last expansions when I enjoy everything. Lore, story, characters, musics, esthetics, quests, everythings.
I've begin to play Warhammer Total War recently, and now I see where Blizzard took his inspiration for them (the Lizardmens), but, even here, they bring many stuff to keep them original (bring the african culture of lwa and voodoo with the aztec one was a great idea).
I just enjoy the fact that when you begin to fight the battle music switches on. Makes me feel more involved tbh

When fighting King Rastakhan and the music at 3.00 switches on, turns the fight into another level. That epic feeling when stuff like that happens, nothing beats that in the game.

Probably my favorite ost of the expansion so far. I really love how they combined the wild 'jungle-y' vibe with that of a grand, majestic civilization.
Art and music team are like the mythic geared characters carrying the LFR devs. Wonderful as always.

Well, devs are the ones who make this music fit in the game, they code the game! They are not responsible for what content is coming and what's not they take the order from their bosses...

@@sethxtekken I don't hate it but I can understand those that do. It makes raiding something within anyone's grasp, trivial; it makes it no longer as meaningful as when mythic difficulty didn't exist, when normal difficulty was like today's heroic. That made raids only available to those ready to engage on really difficult content and join a regular raiding guild. Kind of making the whole thing more meaningful because of the fact that not everybody can jump and do a mindless, stupid combat like LFR is.
It gets far worse when you put the whole titanforging thing into the ecuation, allowing you to take part in a faceroll boss encounter and have the chance to get super high item level gear (you don't, really, unless you're extremely lucky).
If you still don't understand it, think of it like climbing high mountains. The Everest used to be the hardest challenge and only few, highly prepared people could climb it, not without complication. That makes it worthwhile. Now I'm exaggerating, but you can pay a fee for a guide to take you on their back like a backpack to the summit without you breaking a sweat, making it a easy thing available to everybody. Sure, one can take the difficult route, without help, without using ropes or oxygen bottles, but the fact that someone reached the summit easily can be disappointing to the others.
I don't hate it because I understand those that don't want to raid but want to see all content. I agree, at some point, that not all content should be available to everybody. It should feel rewarding to be capable of doing the high end content.
Damn, I'm missing this already.
One thing Blizzard will always be remembered is their crushing music.

BEST RAID IN BFA hands down and the music augments the raid so well. I STILL run the first wing every week just because it's so much fun and the music is so damn good.

I will definitely remember BFA for this raid, since it is the high point of the expansion. Ny'alotha and Eternal Palace can't hold a candle to this masterpiece of a raid. BFA just went downhill after 8.1.
A but like Ulduar was for Wrath, yes....
The problem with that were both Ny'alotha and Eternal palace had no built up to it while battle of dazar'alor is the pinpoint of rastakhan come back and jaina acceptance by kul tiran which both can be fully experience in zandalar and kul tiras. should ny'alotha had cinematics/story for each vision of n'zoth in ogrimmar and stormwind then it might feel different.

The music team has one best track per expansion. In wod it was a more pumped up version of "khadgars plan", in legion it was the suramar suite, this theme beats anything else in bfa.

After months of boring world quest and lots of azerite, Blizzard gave us this Raid. And as I stand in the raid the first time with my guild I thought to myself: finally, they got that WoW epicness back. And now I'm in the world doing completely nothing because I wait for fucking patch 8.2

Feel like there are several parts missing. When you pull a boss the music changes to something that's not here
krizz89 as alliance ive hear this one mid raid but yes theres something missing. Also when you switch to horde and fight the alliance bosses you can hear the “battle for lordaeron alliance music” which was so cool. That music is so majestic that it pained me so hard they would never use it again.
I know exactly what you mean. I'm in love with the Rastakhan encounter because the music you mention goes insanely well with the chaos in the last phase, but I can't find that music anywhere. Really hoping someone is uploading it soon!
Just found it. Go to the complete tides of vengeance OST video and it's around 30:00 and onwards (still in the Zandalar Forever part).

Dazar'alor is a bit like Constantinople was in 1453 only one City is left of the once great Empire in contrast to Kul'Tiras where all 3 regions are part of the nation we only find ruins in Nazmir and Vol'dun.

The music is so awesome, it just sucks the dev team seems to have fucked up everything that made WoW great. I just can't bring myself to play this expansion. Everything about it is bad. Well, except the music!
