Yes, as you noticed she was heartbroken in take a bow and you'll see it's about moving on but with determination. The male character is a real famous bull fighter from Spain. Fun Fact: as you see in Take A Bow, her image was inspired on EVA PERON (Evita) at that time she was casting for the role of the movie EVITA which she eventually got the part and earned her a GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD.

Besides both songs being gorgeous and demonstrating the absolute best of her technical vocal abilities, what's most interesting to me about Take a Bow and You'll See is that they are totally unique among all her videos in that they are not unique! All her other videos are very different from one another in song style, theme, concept, music production, how Madonna looks and sings. I think the two matador videos are the only ones in Madonna's entire catalog that have a thematic and conceptual and sonic relationship with one another.

The matador is really a matador in Spain Madonna wanted him in Take a bow to represent a love story at the end then she did You'll See which is basically the continuation of the story of before and she made the video with the same guy but they were never together because neither of them spoke the language of the other
It's so interesting that Madonna isn't fluent or at least conversational in Spanish because she has always shown such a deep interest in Spanish and Latin culture throughout her entire career.
