Took a tip from Drinking Buddy on YT and dropped an oak spiral into the Full Proof a few weeks ago. He left his spiral in there for 8 months and it beat a ton of his Stagg's in a blind, placing 3rd or 4th overall out of 12.

Drinking the Top Floor right now, very nice, Top Floor is $13.99 and Full Proof is $19.99 at Woodman's Grocery in Illinois. Can't beat the price

Yes!! Blinded Top Floor vs Weller special reserve...they are nearly identical and Top Floor won!

Well I missed Drug City’s Russell Reserve pick two weeks ago because I was working when it was released. Hopefully you got it. I believe it was a 13 year old ($157). I bet it was delicious they know how to pick whiskey. 😎🥃

Wish the top floor was at least 90 proof. I personally like the single barrel over any of the ones I can get we get the single barrel and the small batch. Have never seen the full proof. I don’t have a issue with screw tops I get OF 100 and it’s one of my dailies and of course they are screw tops. For the money you really can’t go wrong with these. Enjoy!!
Screw tops are not bad I guess they don’t snap off like corks can haha. OF100 is great stuff for the money.

The Benchmark isn’t available in Tennessee either. Luckily, the Kentucky state line is only 29 miles away

Bill, what a great idea for a video. I'm a fan of the Benchmark line, especially for the value. My two favorites are the Full Proof and the Bonded, which I preferred over the Top Floor. In the Full Proof, I get a butterscotch note, which I love. I'm right now doing an experiment with putting a charred oak spiral in a bottle of Full Proof. It's been a little over a week and your video inspired me to try a pour and see how it's going. Even this soon, the spiral has added a big extra dimension of complexity to the Full Proof. Check it out if you can..
Fred good advice I have always wondered how those oak spirals would work this would be a good bottle to try it on. A little extra age on that bottle and it would really punch above its price point
Nice reviews BB. I like the Benchmark Bonded and Single Barrel more than the Top Floor, but Full Proof wins for me. All great values. 🥃

Unfortunately they don’t have it in Maryland either. I do look for it if I am in other areas because I would like to try it.
That stinks as I get to Maryland more than other surrounding states at least you guys have like bardstown and drug city liquors lol
Great video! Any suggestions for strong fruit flavored (non-finished) bourbons? I have a Woodenville pick that is the fruitiest bourbon I’ve ever had, but it’s a single barrel! Stagg is the only other dark fruit flavor bomb I’ve had.

@@jmartinez4460 no, local store. I’m curious if Woodenville’s yeast strain is just SUPER fruity or if the local place got lucky on the single barrel! Have you had Total Wine’s?
A lot of the Chattanooga spring BIBs and especially the SB091 single barrels are pretty fruity. Give them a try if you haven’t. However be careful they have a lot of mashbills and some are very Smokey malty
You’re a bourbon lover that loves flavor bomb, well aged, high proof bourbon…. Tell me Chattanooga is worth it even though it’s only 2 years old and I’ll give it a shot Bill…. I just have a hard time convening myself to buy anything 4 years or younger…. Still Austin included. 🤷♂️
The Spring BIB and the Sib with mash bill SB091 is worth the 40 dollhairs from Chattanooga especially the single barrel it was good at first crack but got way better with air I still reach for it among my other way more expensive bottles
