When equating MBTI and Enneagram Types, it is important to know that they're based on different approaches. The MBTI focuses on which cognitive faculties a persons prioritises over others (i.e. which of the introverted and extroverted aspects of Intuition, Sensation, Feeling, Thinking they go to first or by default). The Enneagram focuses on one's fixations and also one's adaptive mechanisms to early lessons in life, even trauma, which habituate the mental behaviours of the mind. Given this, the MBTI will inform us on what functions we use, and the Enneagram will inform us on how we inwardly behave in dealing with life issues and situations. Thus, for example, the early life experiences of an INFP would create an Enneagram Type Nine if their values (Fi, introverted feeling) were not valued during childhood. This would incline them repress their sense of valued self and just bend to the desires of others, thus seeking a need to find non-confrontational peace. Alternatively, an INFP, if their valued sense of self was permitted, but they explored these as a lonely child, they may manifest as an Enneagram Type Four (myself, for instance), and thus seek a need to be special. Likewise an ISTJ, who uses the MBTI function of introverted sensing (Si) will seek security, and depending on their early life experiences with trusting themselves or authority figures, could either become a Type One (as you suggested) who will use rules to find security for themselves, or may alternatively become a Type Six and may rely on authority figures to provide a place for safety, even though they'd still be suspicious of them. I'm just saying, as someone who loves and has used both systems for over a decade, that these two wonderful typologies look to different things, and so a type in one will manifest in a number of types in the other, but for different reasons, depending on life experiences. BTW, love your channel...
Thanks for sharing ;) You definitely took it a layer deeper! This video was already well above 20min giving only 1 minute to each Myers-Briggs type, so decided to leave out any complex analysis of the two systems which you describe so thoroughly, and instead kept it light for general UA-cam population. But glad you’re starting the convo here in the comments. Oh an glad you like the channel! Thanks again for watching & sharing.
What about the core definition that authors gave enneagram 8 which made sensory motor dominance and impulsivity a core trait? That makes it impossible to have a type 8 who is anything except a Se-dom like ESTP or ESFP
I'm an INFP but no idea if I'm a 9 or a 4 I thought I was a 4 but based on your description here, I would be a 9. I scored one point higher on 9 then 4
Great video! Really fun! I’m an INFP 9w1. I used to follow Myers Briggs much more but now I’m waaaay more into the Enneagram as a way to understand myself and others. It’s great seeing how you’ve paired them and the connections you have found.
Same! I've always tested as an INFP since my high school psychology class way back in 1986, and I realized I was a 9 (and more recently a 9w1) about 13 years ago. I skipped up to INFP and he said the first type he linked it with was a 4w5 and then said 9w1, I felt so validated! LOL!
This was a big job. Learning one Myers Briggs type is hard enough. I am an INFP and a 5 with a 4 wing. You guessed INTP. Thinking over feeling. I'm guided by intuition but research everything.
hey, you almost got it right for me! INFJ here, 9w1)) also wanted to comment on how i love your style and consistency in editing! thank you very much for your insight!
Whoa! I’m an ENFP and 3w4. I wasn’t expecting that to be the first ENFP enneagram match! Most people seem to think that ENFPs are 7s and “too silly” to be 3s.
3s and 7s definitely mistype as each other often! But my choice mostly came from having a better fit for the 7s with a different MB type. Glad it resonated with ya!
@@YouveGotaType I'm an ENFP 4w3 and I know many ENFPS, most of them other 4w3, also many 3w4 and 7s. I also have one 9 ENFP friend which is an interesting combo!
I did first my Brigs Myers and got ENFP but didnt actually dig into it too much and was doing it just for fun. Later in life my mother became an enneagram teacher and she invited me to explore my personality. It really helped me. I figured out almost immediately I was a 4 and probably on the unhealthy-steady level and it gave me tools to figure out what strategies i could use in my favour to live more integrally. Anyhow, in all the years i've been into the enneagram I've always questioned how it related to the Briggs. I just saw this and was amazed that you got my personality in both tools. Thanks for that, was fun seeing you got ot right. Im sure other people have figured it out but you were the one who taught me this. So thankyou!!
My pleasure! I'm a 1w9 that used to test as an INFJ as well (although it's been about a decade since I took it...). A 1 and an 8?! Gotta be some fireworks there from time to time ;) But definitely a powerhouse of a couple.
I’m a fellow INFJ 1w9, I’m a sp/so. 🤗The funny thing is that when I initially got into MBTI, without any prior knowledge other than a superficial understanding of what each letter meant, I typed myself as a ISTJ which is what he ironically paired to 1w9 in the video lol. Go figure. 😄
Yeah... That's the mistype title for you, my friend. You are either a 1w9 or an INFJ, you cannot be both. The type 1 does not go well with a personality that have introverted intuition (Ni) as a dominant function, especially INFJ's, as they have extraverted feeling (Fe) as the auxillary (actually none of the types in the gut triad combine with Ni). I would recommend you to read about the IN(F) and the IN(T) archetypes, as described by Carl Jung. (Also, ENTJ is not a good match with the E8. Do you know witch enneagram actually goes well with an extraverted thinking (Te) dominant (the ExTJ personalities)? The E1 and E3).
@@gabrielj6609 And I oop- I'm sorry if you can't handle the truth and the best you can do is to call me a "Naranjo fan" as if it was something bad. He was a great psychiatrist and, sincerely, we are talking now about enneagram just because he did all the empirical research he did. Instead, you could try to prove your point of how E1 can be an introverted intuitive dominant - or how every enneagram can be every jungian type, I am here for everything you say. I have to tell you that I don't believe in the extreme of the correlation, I am very open in this regard, but it's a fact that anyone who really reads and interprets E1 correctly and then IN will see that it's not something you should put together.
Hey I admire your videos and love how you explain enneagram types. Truly eye opening and makes a huge difference in personal growth. I’d like more in-depth analysis on our parental figures’ influences and also practical tips on how to turn things around to become a healthier individual for each type. Thank you and please keep up! - 8w9/ESTJ
You're speaking my love language! I want to lean far more into the practical side of the enneagram (which is the true enneagram = a practice of unending personal growth rather than endless self-labeling). I appreciate the kind words and look forward to releasing more content asap!
Omg, I went to specialist and she told me I’m ENTP (by the way people usually tend to identify themselves with the wrong personality type so it is recommended to go to specialist rather than just take a test) and many years back I took eneagram test and found out that I’m 6w7 so this video is completely correct and accurate!
I was having a time deciding between being an INFP or ISFP. Putting into perspective that a 4w5 is likely to be an INFP helps me narrow that down. Thank you! :)
Very interesting. My husband is a 9w1, and ISFP so super close for him! I think the description of 9w8 sounded a lot like him too so he could definitely lean into that more than he thinks. I’m an INFJ, 5 with balanced wings. INFJ AND INFP are very similar and it took me a long time to figure out which one I was, so I thought this was pretty accurate for me as well. I also test fairly high for type 1 so all in all I thought you were pretty spot on.
Glad to hear it! And thanks for bringing up those similarities. I do find myself often relating to so much of the 5s characteristics (as a 1) myself. And that whole J vs P aspect of myers-briggs has always seemed so contextual to me, because as a 1 I live in J land until I'm feeling secure/integrated in my movement to type 7 enthusiasts, in which case I'm a total P and hate the rigidity of Jness. Anywho! I'm not a believe in any binary system because we humans are far more complex than that - although the MBTI, like everything, has it's time and place. Thanks again for bringing up these nuances!
I get INTJ more often than anything else. Sometimes INFJ, but mostly INTJ. I have also gotten INFP and INTP in the past. Only consistency I've ever had is IN. Enneagram tests give me 4w5. Or just solidly 4. I've also noted a consistent likely completely bias and pseudoscientific, but weirdly common realization that I'm dichotomic, caught between opposing ideas, thoughts and modes of action. (Often on tests, MBTI, random personality tests, even my zodiac sign(even if it's silly nonsense, it's just funny that it lines up with this bias of mine) I'm right in between or near in between two sides. Even an IQ test I took years ago online and have since taken in real life as part of my psych evaluation said something to the effect of left and right brained, emotional and logical all at once) I know I'm highly emotional, but also extremely centered and regularly talk about objectivity, facts and truths, searching to find them because my aim is emotional well being, as I would assume it is for most people. Also, almost every test I take, I rarely have a hard agree/disagree as I just think of all the various ways that it would depend on the specific situation. Tests are NOT specific enough for my liking, so I answer a lot of middle ground answers. I suppose paralyzed with indecision can be a thing for me, but I feel like it's because it's not specific enough to be answered in truth. I feel like I'm right between 4 and 5 on Enneagram and between INFJ and INTJ. Given that my MBTI doesn't fit with recommended enneagram placements, I really don't know at all now. I suppose however that it also doesn't matter.
I would very much recommend watching the Type 6 Video here: ua-cam.com/video/Mr0qbKunXlI/v-deo.html I've worked with so many people who describe their experience exactly the way you did, and almost always aligns with 6ness.
I have to say idrlabs's clarifying tests (such "INTP or INTJ") have helped me a lot early on, I would recommend them if ever needed. They're quite old so maybe they have the full panel by now, haven't checked.
I'd like throw in that INFPs can also be linked to 4w3 (as I myself am one). In my experiences the 3 wing gives me very extraverted desires and goals career wise and my primary number of 4 reigns true to introverted feeling. Great job with the video though and I definitely believe ENFP also work for 4w3 because of our similar cognitive functions!😁✔
I'm in analyzing madness right now, Imma analyze the deeper layer of both MBTI and Enneagram. It may make you crazy like me so prepare to read. -Enneagram: My life look like both enneagram 5 and 7 description: I don't always need others for my own thing, creativity, fun and very scatter minded. Based on your 7's analyze the self above thing look like 5 and 7 also have growth of 5 but 5 got stress of 7 which is scatter. -MBTI: either extroverted INTP or introverted ENTP, enneagram 5 are smart bc of Ti (personal logic and conclusion) (5 are logic) first and Ne (random connection) (7 are also random fun connection) -My deeper analyze and find connection: +INTP and 5w4: 5 stress of 7, 4 growth of 7 (yes more layer in my analyze) so does it make 7 trait of 5w4 balance. +Cognitive function: Ti-Ne-Si-Fe, they're mind first people last, Ti and Si make them look like home body analystic lazy person but assistance of Ne to Ti make the analyze more "scattered from 1 conclusion" +ENTP: 7's and Ne are random kinda look the same, stress of 1 (Imma kinda having problem with my group work and outburst alot lately like you 7's video) and growth of 5's (great analyzer). +Cognitive function: Ne-Ti-Fe-Si, freedom (Ne both thought and do) and hate stable (Si tradition, schedule and facts), Ne-Ti are the one see many things and making sense and connection of everything logically but not very grounded like facts bc they kinda repress or not develop well. Just the way I analyze connection of 5w4 to 7's trait, Ne and Ti pairing are very clear (personal conclusion from connection) and bc I still don't have a clear type and the analyzing random create this madness make me kinda irritating but analyzing for me is fun but this is not ok at all.
This comment makes me think "Type 6w5" based on all that you shared and the amount of back-n-forth thinking that is typical of analysis-paralysis 6s. Definitely not a sure thing, but worth looking into! Type 6 video here: ua-cam.com/video/jcjSX4qHb9Y/v-deo.html
That checks out to me! Many people switch wings as we get older as a way of self-correcting our behaviors based on lessons learned/pivotal experiences.
lol I’m a INFP. I thought for the last few years I’m a 4w5 but now after watching a ton of your videos and studying a ton I think I’m a 9w1. Thanks for these.
Interesting video, would like to share some of my findings: 1. I am INTP 5w4 2. My husband ISTJ 6w7 3. My mom ENTJ 8w9 4. My dad ISTP 1w9 5. My godmother INFJ 9w1 6. My godfather INTJ 1w2 7. My close-friend INTP 1w2 8. My close-friend ESFJ 2w1 So you got 3 of these right.. 😊
Nice. My boyfriend is a ENTJ 8w7, I'm a INTP 5w4. I'm pretty sure my sister's a INFP 4w5 or a ENFP 4w3, I think my mom is a ISFJ 1w2 and my dad might be a INFJ 9w1. The one I expected the least was the ISFP as a 9w8, but it totally makes sense. 👍
Interesting. I used to relate to enneagram sx/sp 8w7 (874). However, according to several sources they (8) are the most motor-sensory dominant of all the enneagram types. Claudio Naranjo described enneagram 8 as correlating with Se-dominant MBTI types (ESFP and ESTP). As a low(er) Se-user I cannot relate to a motor-sensory based enneagram type. Moreover, he (Naranjo) described enneagram 8 as lust-driven and anti-intellectual, which I cannot rhyme with the Rational (NT) temperament. Which is why, nowadays, I relate to sx/sp 7w8 (784). This seems contradictory, but Naranjo did link enneagram 7 to Ni-dominant (specifically INTJ). Lastly, 16Personalities are not the same as the MBTI. They (16P) use a reworked system based on the Big Five (OCEAN or SLOAN). Their site is fun and all, but do not be surprised if they type you differently than the MBTI would. In my case it works, because my MBTI and Big Five preferences strongly correlate. However, if you are an ESTP with slightly above Openness to experience on the Big Five it will mistake you for an ENTP. Alternatively, you can find a description of all the types on the site of MBTIonline. Best regards - ENTJ sx/sp 784 (7w8).
Well counterphobic 6s often mistype themselves as 8s, so there's a lot of overlap there in terms of outward aggression. If you don't test as an F on Myers-Briggs, I would wager a guess you may have mistyped. 4s are staunchly located in the Heart triad of the Enneagram and over-identify with their feelings as a trademark characteristic. Also the 4-6 mistype happens all the time, so worth investigating if you're at all open to the possibility.
ENTP 8w7 is a pretty unlikely combination, actually, and those who really typed themselves like this are probably a bunch of mistyped ESxP's. E8 is a very sensory oriented type, when compared to the MBTI/Jungian standards and definitions (more specifically an extraverted sensing [Se] type). ENTP fits well in the E7 and 6w7 definitions, as they lead their function stack with extraverted intuition (Ne).
@@YouveGotaType I would say it depends on my depression or not. If I am really depressed, I get into my INTJ phase. If I am "normal," then it is INFJ phase
Hey there, the enneagram foundationally does not allow for equal splits amongst 3 different types. The basis of the system is having a core motivation, not three core motivations. All types have plenty of characteristics in common, but it takes some serious work to drill down to your most core desires/fears/needs. If you resonate with that many different types, it's far more likely you're a 9 or a 6. Also if you already knew your MBTI type but kept testing yourself over a decade, that also points to Type 6 as they are the most likely to retest themselves over n over again.
6s are definitely a wide range of personality types. If you watch my relationship video for 6s, that's the whole theme: ua-cam.com/video/Mr0qbKunXlI/v-deo.html
ENFP, 4w3 is me. Close to the cusp of J and a little close to T, have been thought to be a 7 or 8. I am definitely a 4 tho. Impressed with your assessment. 👏
8:39 Im also an ENFP, 4w3! I skipped directly to the ENFP part and was surprised that it was a match. At first guess, my friends also think I’m either a 7 or 8.
@@huyenle4493 Sweet! This one was a total judgement call so I'm glad it was accurate for more than a few people. Surprising to hear your friends think you're an 8 but you're a 4w3. Wonder what it is about ya that makes you look like such a different enneagram type!
@@YouveGotaType it's because 4s channel the most powerful energy---- emotions. A self-pres 4 can appear like a 7, also known as the Sunny 4--- radiating positive energy while internally combusting on a slow burn, not fully sharing our feelings all the time like a social 4. My second subtype stacking is the 1-1 or sexual 4 who can appear like an 8, channeling that mighty emotional power in a different way. So, I expect my enneagram twinsie above there and I may share the same subtype stacking. For me, the social subtype is my blind spot. Still learning about that part of course, but all 4s love to deep dive into the shadow, so.. pas de problem.
I go back and forth between ENFP and ESFP, though I usually test as an ENFP. As I've been looking at Enneagram the two types I've been most considering 4w3 and 7w6, so I suppose that makes sense!
Whew 4s and 7s are VERY different :) 4s constantly struggle with a sense of melancholy while 7s exuberant positive energy is unmistakable. Here's videos on them if you want to learn more! Type 4: ua-cam.com/video/V8H22OLdWwQ/v-deo.html Type 7: ua-cam.com/video/dn60SfxiTA8/v-deo.html Also throwing this in as a bonus because I think many 6s struggle with this mistyping combo: ua-cam.com/video/jcjSX4qHb9Y/v-deo.html
If you really think of yourself as an ExFP, 7w6 is probably your enneagram type. It is unlikely (in comparison to the E7) that an ExFP will be an E4, specially an ESFP.
This is interesting. I landed in my type 9 after looking at type 4 and 5 and I think my 8 wing is stronger. But it took even longer to find my mbti type. I have been infj, infp and finally isfp. What are the odds that you came up with the same results? I have done some extensive research (I just know there is a 5 in my tritype 😃) but my nineness wont let me decide for sure. But this is as close as I get and I thank you for your insights 😊
I think im a four wing 5, not only because im INFP but also because i love authenticy and authentic expression like theater and writing. Though on first try it said i was ENFP. Confused. I emphasis with looking good and succes. Also 9 wing 1 that INFP can be I associate the empathy, avoid direct expressing negativity. Four does it in an creative way on stage though. Hm For me they are very close related, but for now i think im a four. 🤔
I am INTP 4w5 and I can relate to basically everything you said in the INTP part. 4w5 5w4 I guess no big difference with what can be seen from the surface huh
This is interesting. I am an INTJ enneagram 3w4- 5 - 1. I like to think I am a healthy 3w4 so I move into my 6 a lot, and for a long time I wasn't sure if my core number was actually a 3 since my 5 is so strong. I only landed on 3 as my core opposed to 5 because I definitely move to 9 in stress and 6 in health. Otherwise my 5 is just as strong as my 3. All that to say I think 5w6 makes a lot of sense for an INTJ as a starting point.
That actually happens all the time. 9s with an 8 wing a bit more emotional but still reserved like a 4w5. Takes some time to discern which core motivation is truly at work inside yourself. Glad you enjoyed the video!
The man I was dating, I believe is a 9w? and he tested as INFP. I could not find a video for 9/6 relationship. I'm a 6w5 and ENTP. Now I'm wondering if my wing is 7 but I really think it is a 5.
I believe Im an 8w7 INTJ people say it doesnt make sense but Ive searched and analyzed i lot both enneagram and mbti and Im sure that Im an INTJ and nothing really fits me other than type 8 in enneagram. Because Im an INTJ some people think Im a 5 but i just the core desires and fears of 5 is so not me. I really tried to improve my functions I believe thats why its complicated like I think Im an 8 but I worked on my feelings a lot so i dont really have problems with that. Im open to ideas tho if you have an opinion please share :)
15:09 this is funny because I was just told a few days ago on Reddit that I can't be an ENTP and be a 6w7, as ENTPs "can only be 3, 7, or 8" according to them. I thought that it was a silly assertion, to say that this was "impossible" (rather than simply less common) given that these are different systems that measure different things, and that 6 is one of the more versatile types, and could theoretically be perfectly matched with a more introverted and less impulsive ENTP, especially given the 7 wing, so it's good to see that someone whose channel is based around enneagram has confirmed my suspicions. While I still don't know my own type for certain (can one even know this with 100% certainty?), I do like having some evidence that I'm right about this. 🙂
Oh yes, the I know those personality type chat rooms/discords/reddits love to make everything SO concrete, when there are only general patterns.. Glad you found the video helpful :)
I say, "sure!" Enneagram types can match with tons of different MBTIs, and that particular combo. (ENTJ) fits with the assertiveness, leadership, and emotional charge of both 3w4s and 8w7s. Glad you like the brevity of it! Tried to fit each type into 90 seconds or less.
@@YouveGotaType based on only 2 videos I watched, you have that style of speaking that is fun and relaxed, but at the same time you say all important information
INTJ 5w4 or ILI 5w4 I believe. Why can't an INTJ be a 5w4 and an INTP 5w6? That technically sounds like it would make the most sense. INTJs have tertiary Fi which is more centered around personal values and authenticity vs INTP's inferior Fe which is based on the emotional atmosphere, which would make sense for them to be more about security than self-expression and individuality. 5 is the core type for both in general.
There is no "can't be" here. These are just general connections between behavioral patters to get people started on their enneagram journey if they know their MBTI type. An INTJ and INTP could be either of those types, and more
The 2 personality systems are based on totally different things, so they definitely don’t always match up. Myers-Briggs is based on the way people tend to think and act while the enneagram is based on the core motivations that drive people to behave in certain ways. For example I’m a 1w2 ENTJ, my mom is a 2w1 ENTJ, and my dad is a 1w9 INFJ, so we’re all fairly different than what this video says. However, my best friend is a 7w6 ESFP, so that matches.
damn, I'm in a dilemma... on myers briggs I'm either INFP or ENFP, with I and E pretty much balanced out. And on the Enneagram I'm definitely a 4 but not sure if a 3 or a 5 wing. So i guess your categorizations fit afterall.
16:16 ok I agree but people keep telling me I can´t be Se dom and Ennea 7 at the same time because "it´s contradictory" and the only possible combo would actually be the SP subtype, how true is this?
@@YouveGotaType I´ve heard stuff like "Sevens are not really tuned into reality but their imagination and ideas, since their excitement towards hypothetic scenarios and possibilities is greater than any other type" which they say is actually more an Ne Dom thing. Now I´m as confused as you I have to say. Since the very beginning I´ve also thinked there´s no better type for the ESFP than 7, but socionics users rely on the subtypes hardly because of their accuracy, and what they mention is that ESFP´s are often mistyped as sevens when they actually are 2´s, 3´s or even 8´s (seems like 8 is an Se dom exclusive type)
7s may be excited by their ideas, but they are highly pragmatic people that can accomplish a great deal with almost no resources aside from their enthusiastic energy and undaunted demeanor in the face of resistance. 7's find new possibilities where other people would simply give up. 7s aren't necessarily trusting their intution, they're often just taking blind risks for the thrill of it and then adapting to whatever result comes of it. I tie intuition to an entirely different response to our environment than what 7s are doing. @@BlackyDragon
Interesting video but not most accurate for me. I’m an ISFJ and a 9 (still trying to figure out my wing… probably a 1). Though i will say when I took the Meyers Briggs as a young 20 something year old, I definitely knew I was an I and an F. But my N/S and J/P was a little bit more split closely. However the ISFJ sounded more like me. Now 20+ years later, I’m definitely an S not an N. I think I’m still split between a J and P but J is stronger both naturally and adapting because my husband is a Strong J. I believe my mother was a P which might explain that in my youth I adapted more to her ways. Lastly, you pairing my ISFJ to a 2 w/1… but I’m pretty sure I’m a 9. I have been confused before though. … my original college major was accounting…because I liked numbers and I’m an organized type. I got bored though and ended up choosing social work because I figured I liked helping people. My “F” heart ❤️. However, after doing social work awhile I left and went back to numbers/ working in banking. I kind of like boring after all. Though not completely satisfied. I haven’t found that yet. I do still like helping others sometimes but not really as much as a type 2. As a parent I kind of dread all the volunteer sign up requests for kids activities. I will do out of obligation occasionally but I don’t really enjoy it much. So that’s part why I don’t think I’m a 2 also. However planning family vacations, I think I become more like a 3 or a 2. It’s the highlight of my year! (both the planning and the traveling). My husband thinks I should be a travel planner. My brother is a 9, which I can totally see but at the same time I don’t totally see us the same. We both struggle career wise to do better or figure out our lives, but rest of our lives, I’m more put together than him. I’m tidy, he’s messy, he’s slower to action and I jump on things quicker. I was a B student while he was smarter but worse grades in school because he was lazy. But I’m definitely a 9 who likes to be comfortable too. But I work hard to get all my routines and junk done each day so I can sit and relax afterwards.
I thought every Ne dom is 7, and every 7 is Ne dom. Ne dom are lack of Ti/Fi (as a polr function) that's made us feel the emptiness inside. As a Ne dom, we see the world very mentally not physically way, "world always had something new for us" that's irrationale quotes is very suit for 7,7 is very intuitive ennea for ESTP and ESFP that had Se as a dominant function. Ne dom when healthy, they try to mentally solve the worlds, observe the worlds, how it work (5 grow) but when unhealthy Ne dom can be perfectionis as Si inf unstabilize them, they got haunted by past and don't want to repeat the same mistake again (1 stress). Defense mechanism: rationalism is Ne trait, we question everything what is love? Why the sky is blue? What is normal? And many else, we always want to find a way to describe the world.
Wow. Right on. I'm an INFP 4w5 (Self Pres). My partner though was an ENFJ Self Pres 7 (not sure the wing)...probably 7w8. HOWEVER....maybe he really was a 3w2....that does sound like him....
The 7s and 3s get mixed up all the time. Both very positive, assertive types. I've got long form videos on both here if you haven't watched them yet ;) Type 7: ua-cam.com/video/dn60SfxiTA8/v-deo.html Type 3: ua-cam.com/video/IwAHPR6wcmo/v-deo.html
Wouldn't ENTPs be an E7? More likely an sp7 and so7? Also counterphobic sixes or (sx6) aren't only "strong and aggressive" they also have feeling that they are alienated with their envviornment and feels the need to go against it. An ENTP wouldn't fit that role due to them being Ne doms and wouldn't have a straightforward or rigid view of their enviornment.
5w4s are the mist withdrawn enneagram type so it's pretty doubtful you're an E. This seems to be a common misunderstanding. Worth taking a deeper dive into the 4 rather than 5 side, or these other types. Type 4: ua-cam.com/video/V8H22OLdWwQ/v-deo.html or Type 6: ua-cam.com/video/jcjSX4qHb9Y/v-deo.html Type 8: ua-cam.com/video/MU48u52wtMc/v-deo.html
So your probably not an ENTP. As this personality type leads with extraverted intuition (Ne), it is pretty unlikely that you would also be one of the most introverted enneagram types. Ne is a pretty remarkable function to have as your dominant, as it almost always create a very outgoing and creative person. Have you ever read about the INTP personality type? They also have Ne, but as they auxillary function. This doesn't remove any of the Ne's creativity, but definitely creates a way more introverted person, just as the 5w4 enneagram. Try to find something on the IT(N) and EN(T) archetypes described by Carl Jung.
@@Hjilbvkfthfhvf I use to mistype as an intp because of how withdrawn I am. But I realized that I need and thrive off of human interaction. Debating others literally keeps me going. Sparring with others keeps me growing and other growing. I have a zeal for knowledge and the best way to learn is to have people share their knowledge through a debate of sorts. But because of how withdrawn I can be I often appear as an intp. But really it’s just my reaction to small talk and mundane life. I investigate everything, and am constantly thinking about different things and trying to learn as much as I can. So an Enneagram 5 makes the most sense. Plus the wing 4 also makes sense cuz I have a strong need to be original, to be authentic, and to be unique. In fact if I am not inventing new ideas, or rewriting the script I am usually not content.
@@druidindigo5076 I really liked your reply, and the way that you described your discoveries about connecting more with people really sounds to me like an actually healthy INTP. As an archetypical personally type, they can be seen as detached and investigative, but most people definitely forget that we live in a society that requires human interaction and, most importantly, they forget that we cannot let the stereotypes define who we are. Unfortunately, that's exactly what rules over the MBTI community nowadays, lots and lots of stereotypes. I can say for myself that I am probably an ISTJ, but I would never think about this as a possibility if I just used flawed resources, like this 16 personalities site. So yeah, I would tell you that I really like the way you learned to approche interacting with people. Talking about the cognitive functions theory, I affirm that you look like a healthy INTP because what you described to me seems like the extraverted feeling (Fe) cognitive function, wich is the least developed for the majority of INTP's, but can be significantly more visible as they explore more and more their social environment and find their places within people. Still, I recommend you to read "psychological types", by Carl Jung. (I'm sorry if there are any grammatical errors, English is not my first language).
Hmmm a 5 and a 4 would almost assuredly not be an Extrovert...both are classic "Withdrawn" types (see Hornevian Triad). What makes you resonate with this type?
You probably aren't one of these two, you cannot be both. Try to read about the IF(N) and EN(F) archetypes (Carl Jung) and about the extraverted intuition (Ne) cognitive function (you can go after the introverted feeling (Fi) function too).
Wings makes a little difference, 16 personality is not a realiable source, E8 is literally the least compatibile possible enneatype with TE dom and ENTP SX6 is not common at all, not even nearly as much as E7 is...🗿
INFP here, new to the enneagram and trying to figure out if I'm a 4 or 9... "this video may help me" ... nope 😅 At least it confirms that I'm on the right track, I do feel that I'm a 4w5 or 9w1.

Hey there, I don’t work with tritypes and I would say it’s highly unlikely an 8w7 would be an F as both those types are the least in touch with their feelings and lead predominately with thinking. Sounds more like a counterphobic 6w7.
@@YouveGotaType I know it's unlikely, but my score for 8 is 99% and I'm absolutely sure I'm 8w7. Enneagram 6 is so far from my personality... In my case, it's like I'm ENFJ and ENTJ at the same time...and there's a lot of ENTP and ESTP as I'm choleric-sanguine...
Mmmm I'd double check that enneagram type. Those are two of the most assertive types on the enneagram and the INTJ is almost the cliche "bookworm introvert."
I feel as INFP four then. Though i have a brother
What about the core definition that authors gave enneagram 8 which made sensory motor dominance and impulsivity a core trait? That makes it impossible to have a type 8 who is anything except a Se-dom like ESTP or ESFP
I'm an INFP but no idea if I'm a 9 or a 4
I thought I was a 4 but based on your description here, I would be a 9. I scored one point higher on 9 then 4
I’m an ISTJ & without a doubt a type 5. Perhaps I’m not really an ISTJ but it fits & I’ve taken several tests & always score ISTJ.
Great video! Really fun! I’m an INFP 9w1. I used to follow Myers Briggs much more but now I’m waaaay more into the Enneagram as a way to understand myself and others. It’s great seeing how you’ve paired them and the connections you have found.
Thanks so much!
Makes sense! A lot of these were very much on the fence.
Hmm I might be in the same boat
hey, you almost got it right for me! INFJ here, 9w1))
also wanted to comment on how i love your style and consistency in editing! thank you very much for your insight!
So glad you’re enjoying the vids!
This match is interesting tho I guess I’m the common ENFP here 😆I’m ENFP type 7w6
I did few test and the results were always the same
@@YouveGotaType I'm an ENFP 4w3 and I know many ENFPS, most of them other 4w3, also many 3w4 and 7s. I also have one 9 ENFP friend which is an interesting combo!
And here my 4 ish butt wanted to be unique…
I’m an ENFP 4w3. Never felt like anything I read or saw about the two typology systems matched up until this video!
Glad it resonated with ya 🙌
I'm an INFJ 1w9 and my fiancée is an ENTJ 8w7. Pretty spot on for him! Thanks for uploading another awesome video 🙂
@@Hjilbvkfthfhvfaverage Naranjo's fan 🙄
Glad to hear it!
I was having a time deciding between being an INFP or ISFP. Putting into perspective that a 4w5 is likely to be an INFP helps me narrow that down. Thank you! :)
Happy it helped!
I'm an INFJ 9w1 sp. I love my own quiet, private space to relax and enjoy my favorite hobbies.
Makes sense :)
I would very much recommend watching the Type 6 Video here: ua-cam.com/video/Mr0qbKunXlI/v-deo.html
I've worked with so many people who describe their experience exactly the way you did, and almost always aligns with 6ness.
First of all, great handle and profile pic. Second, totally agree! Thanks for sharing.

Yes sir
I'm in analyzing madness right now, Imma analyze the deeper layer of both MBTI and Enneagram. It may make you crazy like me so prepare to read.
-Enneagram: My life look like both enneagram 5 and 7 description: I don't always need others for my own thing, creativity, fun and very scatter minded. Based on your 7's analyze the self above thing look like 5 and 7 also have growth of 5 but 5 got stress of 7 which is scatter.
-MBTI: either extroverted INTP or introverted ENTP, enneagram 5 are smart bc of Ti (personal logic and conclusion) (5 are logic) first and Ne (random connection) (7 are also random fun connection)
-My deeper analyze and find connection:
+INTP and 5w4: 5 stress of 7, 4 growth of 7 (yes more layer in my analyze) so does it make 7 trait of 5w4 balance.
+Cognitive function: Ti-Ne-Si-Fe, they're mind first people last, Ti and Si make them look like home body analystic lazy person but assistance of Ne to Ti make the analyze more "scattered from 1 conclusion"
+ENTP: 7's and Ne are random kinda look the same, stress of 1 (Imma kinda having problem with my group work and outburst alot lately like you 7's video) and growth of 5's (great analyzer).

INFJ 1w2 here…This was interesting!
Thanks!
I’m an ENTP and I thought for sure you would pair my type with 8w7 because I know that is a very common combination, I am however a 4.
Well, do keep in mind that 3s and 8s are driven by achievement, they are just different views on it. It very well could be you are leaning on a 4w3
entp 4 is impossible, try type 7

I’m a solid enfj, repeatedly tested over a decade. I’m a 1w2. I am also like this weird three way split if a 1/2/3…..little of all three equally 🤦♀️
Love this - so interesting! ISTP 5w6 female here.

@@YouveGotaType it's because 4s channel the most powerful energy---- emotions. My second subtype stacking is the 1-1 or sexual 4 who can appear like an 8, channeling that mighty emotional power in a different way. It makes sense because there's a lot of overlap in the wing types.
This was impressive. I'm an INFP who tested as a 9 but think i might be a 4w5?
I would say check out the 6 wing 5. Counterphobic 6s act/look similar to 8s and the 5 wing would help explain the I.
5w4 here, but INTJ instead of INTP. I do straddle that J/P dichotomy, though.
I go back and forth between INFP and INTP. Enneagram type 1w2
Makes sense. That's why I like the inherent fluidity of the enneagram.
repeatedly skeptical of my Mbti type. Enneagram confirms it..... looking no further 😅
Glad to hear it!
Entj and 3w4. What do you say about that? I like your style of explaining everything, but shortly
An INTJ and INTP could be either of those types, and more
ENFP not a 7w6 ?
Sure could be. Lots of different MBTIs could be several different enneagram types.
What about the instinctual subtypes is that gonna give all enngram types like ennegram type 4s type I as am different musers Briggs personalites type
damn, I'm in a dilemma...
on myers briggs I'm either INFP or ENFP, with I and E pretty much balanced out.
And on the Enneagram I'm definitely a 4 but not sure if a 3 or a 5 wing. So i guess your categorizations fit afterall.
Holy mental gymnastics
🤸♂️
Is it unusual then to be an ISFJ and 5w6? I tested S at 52% and N 48%, so came close to typing as an INFJ.
I can’t find 9 w1. Would you do that one? - Thanks.
It’s at the 11:00 mark
16:16 ok I agree but people keep telling me I can´t be Se dom and Ennea 7 at the same time because "it´s contradictory" and the only possible combo would actually be the SP subtype, how true is this?
I don't understand how Se dom is contradictory to the enneagram 7. What traits are you comparing exactly?
@@YouveGotaType I´ll keep your explanation cause it´s just the best i´ve found yet, thank you so much!
@@BlackyDragonThis guy is not typing using cognitive functions, so this is more about the big 5 correlation with enneagram
I'm definitely ESFJ/Type 2w3
Glad it felt accurate!
I’m a strong 8w7 who’s a entp and has gotten entj at times
Makes sense as counterphobic 6s and 8s have a lot in common.
INFP 9w1 here :)
Nice 🙌
I’m an INFP, but I think I’m an enneagram 5w4.
Have you watched my long form video on type 5? Should help ya confirm: ua-cam.com/video/tSrcN4mmzU0/v-deo.html
@@YouveGotaType Yes I did. I also watched the ones about type 4 and type 9. I think type 5 suits me best.
Well... I am a 4w5, but I my Myers Briggs is INFJ, but when in growth 4s go to 1 so I supposed not a bad guess.
Just a small difference in the J vs P as well.
INFJ 1w2 here. I agree. 👍😁
INTJ 5w6 perfect!!!! Results on Truity

can I ask what mbti type you are?
Wow. Right on. I'm an INFP 4w5 (Self Pres). My partner though was an ENFJ Self Pres 7 (not sure the wing)...probably 7w8. HOWEVER....maybe he really was a 3w2....that does sound like him....

ENTJ here and pretty sure I am a 8w9...
Got the 8 part ;)
Wouldn't ENTPs be an E7? More likely an sp7 and so7? Also counterphobic sixes or (sx6) aren't only "strong and aggressive" they also have feeling that they are alienated with their envviornment and feels the need to go against it. An ENTP wouldn't fit that role due to them being Ne doms and wouldn't have a straightforward or rigid view of their enviornment.
I am as ENTP as it gets. And I’m definitely a 5w4
5w4s are the mist withdrawn enneagram type so it's pretty doubtful you're an E. This seems to be a common misunderstanding.
Worth taking a deeper dive into the 4 rather than 5 side, or these other types.

or
Type 6: ua-cam.com/video/jcjSX4qHb9Y/v-deo.html
Type 8: ua-cam.com/video/MU48u52wtMc/v-deo.html
I'm and Enneagram 4 and INFJ. I don't agree with One with two wing for INFJ.
Each enneagram type could be manny different Myers-Briggs types. These are all just one option.
Actually I'm INFJ and One with Two Wing 😊
You're ISTJ, aren't you? I think you're ISTJ, enneagram 1 or 5
Well, I'm a 1 wing 9, but the last time I tested (about 10 years ago) I was an INFJ. I definitely ride that N/S line.
Intj 8w7. I’m not a book worm. Currently In sales.
INFJ, 5 wing 6
?? More like 4 wing 5
As an Enfp 5w4, you got it pretty close
Hmmm a 5 and a 4 would almost assuredly not be an Extrovert...both are classic "Withdrawn" types (see Hornevian Triad). What makes you resonate with this type?
You probably aren't one of these two, you cannot be both. Try to read about the IF(N) and EN(F) archetypes (Carl Jung) and about the extraverted intuition (Ne) cognitive function (you can go after the introverted feeling (Fi) function too).
Hubby is an isfj, 9w1
Wings makes a little difference, 16 personality is not a realiable source, E8 is literally the least compatibile possible enneatype with TE dom and ENTP SX6 is not common at all, not even nearly as much as E7 is...🗿

Hey there, I don’t work with tritypes and I would say it’s highly unlikely an 8w7 would be an F as both those types are the least in touch with their feelings and lead predominately with thinking. Sounds more like a counterphobic 6w7.
