Just got your top feeders yesterday frames coming tomorrow and two colonies will be ready to pick up April 10th ish (life pending). Thank you so much for making an addict of me. As a disabled vet I hate therapy and most Veteran places like the VFW and American Legion are just a bar, I needed a peaceful catharsis. Thank my Wife and daughters for bringing me here. Hi there you only came into my feed a few weeks Ago I've been studying bee only coming up to a year and a half.
Joined my local bee club to get some hands on.
Oh my goodness what a buzz . It was the best thing
I've ever seen, and touched.
I'm in love bees are soooooo amazing.
My question is why did u not come into my feed
A year and have after I went on my search .
You acually have something to say,
And u make sense.
I will have my bees very soon.
And thanku u have alone taught me more
In a few weeks then all the others, in mths

Here in Texas, we've had some very warm days, so I've been putting out "community feeders" like u suggested in a previous video. It is working great. The bees will drink a quarter of ur mixture in a couple of hours. My bees went into this winter pretty weak, but there is some brood, so I'm hopeful for this spring.

What size holes in jar lid
Do you ever have problems with your mixture fermenting? Whenever I’ve mixed pollen in with sugar water I fermenting. Would you ever recommend using a bucket feeder on the top of the hive? I have 2 gallon buckets like the commercial beekeepers.
My bees consume it faster than it can ferment

Hello David, thank you for sharing such awesome things with us. How long will the bees be stimulated (if the weather is ok)? Since the bees will need to invert the sugar(process which probably decrease the live of the winter bees) shouldn't it be better to mix honey water and add HiveAlive?(HA since here in Germany the supplements are not that propagated).
That "little hive" is more populated than my largest hive!!!

Loving your content. I'm a new beekeeper and did a split to see what would happen. Started to use your mixture last week. How long can it be out for? Will it go rancid if out too long?
After watching your video on pollen patties, could I blend my remaining patties with sugar water to feed them to my bees?
It will be interesting to see if the queen gets superceded this year since she wasn't doing well last year.

Hey David, Thanks for the video. I'm in SE PA. I have a question. I currently have 3 hives; 2 double-deep 10-frames and 1 single deep 10-frames. So far they look good and strong. What is the downside of taking one of the double-deep hives and splitting it into 2- single deep hives in the Spring?
