I went to charity shops in Hampstead last weekend and was stunned at the prices - literally £200+ for some things, nothing for less than £20! Bought nothing whereas the last time I was there (about 2 years ago, I got a coat for a tenner and a silk shirt for £8, both in great condition).

The charity shops have been getting more and more greedy over the last few years. And their stuff is definitely nowhere near as good as it was. I've stopped going in them now.
I used to make decent money flipping vintage sports wear from charity shops but for the last few years they've been taking most of the good stuff to use at their own vintage stalls at festivals etc. It just dried up

It's always good to know what you're looking for. IE Look at outfits and looks online that would normally be expensive and see if you can replicate it.
Balham has good charity shops as well. There is no by Primrose Hill quite pricey but alwyas find outstanding stuff (but is the kind I go for one piece as pricey but worthy for some fancy piece.
Not guaranteed to get anything you actually want in any charity shop and it costs £75 + for me to get to London so £75 before we start not affordable. Good if you are visiting London or similar affluent area and are very lucky

There are two essential reasons why there are way more women stuff than men. First that women buy way more clothing than men and the other obvious reason is that most men wear they clothes until they rip off literally and so no much chance to end up at a charity shop (which this second is also consequence of the first as women in general consume more clothing than men and so they renew they wardrobe more frequently, not talking also they tale more care of their stuff too

The charity shops have been getting more and more greedy over the last few years. And their stuff is definitely nowhere near as good as it was. I've stopped going in them now.

I used to make decent money flipping vintage sports wear from charity shops but for the last few years they've been taking most of the good stuff to use at their own vintage stalls at festivals etc. It just dried up

Balham has good charity shops as well. There is no by Primrose Hill quite pricey but alwyas find outstanding stuff (but is the kind I go for one piece as pricey but worthy for some fancy piece.
Not guaranteed to get anything you actually want in any charity shop and it costs £75 + for me to get to London so £75 before we start not affordable. Good if you are visiting London or similar affluent area and are very lucky

There are two essential reasons why there are way more women stuff than men. First that women buy way more clothing than men and the other obvious reason is that most men wear they clothes until they rip off literally and so no much chance to end up at a charity shop (which this second is also consequence of the first as women in general consume more clothing than men and so they renew they wardrobe more frequently, not talking also they tale more care of their stuff too
