It's the lightness you feel when you've figured out the right size for your life. It's so easy to say yes to one more thing when all the things are good, and so hard when you've gooded yourself into overwhelm. There is no failure in recognizing that and right-sizing your life. Thank you for living your life out loud. We all have so much to learn.

Jess thank you so much for your last video. My husband and I have been dealing with similar things you brought up. We kept wanting more land and a bigger house. It started becoming stressful planning for those things. We finally decided to just live in the moment and be greatful for our little Homestead on 3 acres and our single wide mobile home. I’m about to give birth to a baby very soon and that is what is most important right now. Soaking up motherhood and continuing to grow food and raise our livestock. Today I picked some tomatoes and peppers and I felt God telling me this situation we have is “enough” for us. If he wants more for us he will make it happen. Blessings. ❤

🙏🏼thank you for your comment 🤗similarly looking at other land 🤔possibilities and tho we’re in “older age bracket” you reminded me of what is truly important. Bless you.

I donate to Samaritan’s Purse organization because I’m too old to volunteer physically. Recently, S.P. has been working in Sudan to provide food for the thousands and thousands of refugees who are escaping the war area.
I put a picture of a child I call “little man” on my fridge to remind me to pray for him to have food today….that the protein mush will fill his little belly.
The people are putting up whatever kind of shack they can to get out of the weather. It makes me so thankful for my older house that we’ve lived in over 50 years that I get tired of sometimes and my little bit of yard that I have to tend.
You can dream your dreams while you live in the moment.
It is so moving to think you are embracing your season of life right now.
It won’t always be like this.
      Warmest regards.
      💜💜💜

I didn't realize it until this video how much your videos had changed when you were going through the stress of the summer. Today's video felt like a return to my friend Jess and her lovely perspective on things, in her lovely dress, wearing her lovely smile. Thank you.

Jess, I just flipping love you and Jeremiah and the way you are vulnerable and share your lives. You guys are so brave and lovely!! It's incredible how we can all have these shared human experiences so far apart and still be connected. It was such a pleasure to meet you guys this summer. Your authenticity and commitment to community is inspiring! Thank you for sharing! ❤

In El Salvador and I believe some parts of Guatemala, it’s customary to use banana leaves instead of corn husks to wrap our tamales. They are kept moist when cooked, giving them a totally different texture.

I grew up in Alaska and we had Lilac bushes in front of our house that would bloom in late summer.
I fully thought lilacs were a fall flower and was gobsmacked to see them in spring when I moved “down south” to northern Oregon. 🤣

😂 I have goats that rarely graze because they love brush more than grass/hay. I give a grain snack at night, provide hay, 2 acres of free range and throw scraps from the garden. This morning dead sunflowers from the garden at the morning snack. 😊

Hey Jess, I believe instinct will kick in🐐. When I had my Alpines I did dry them off and up’d their nutrition prior to breeding so their body is ready for kids.
    Goats are great!
So glad to see y’all 🤗🤗💕💕

Hey friend, it’s so funny you mentioned the differences in landscaping in New England compared to the South, because when I go down south, I do the same. My son live just north of Houston and I’m like I want foxtail ferns and agave plants too! 😂 It’s interesting at least to me. It weird to me that I can’t identify the native plants like I can here! It was. Nice hanging out with you on your video!

Because Nubians are ones that only cycle in the Fall, I would say their heats should be starting soon and if your buck is showing intense interest in one in particular, she is likely close to cycling or in active heat. If I remember correctly, though, wasn't she the one who mothered him, too? He may just be showing off how big he is now. LOL But yes, nature will take over even when goats have been used to having artificial insemination to get pregnant.
