I have noticed that super glossy paper squeaks when rubbing cloth or a jumper on it. That is one of the ways to find out if real glossy paper is super glossy. If the glossy surface squeaks, that means that the paper is super glossy, otherwise its ordinary gloss or satin or matt paper.
I am looking to print a book dust jacket book and wanted to know if photo gloss paper would be appropriate. Can it be folded without developing creases on the printed front?
Can anyone suggest a good brand? Preferably one where the company ships in a box and NOT a bubble envelope? I've been using Koala for their 13x19 Satin paper, but every time they ship it, they have it in a product box that's in a bubble envelope. The box always gets damaged in 1 corner, causing a crease or bent corners in the paper. They refuse to ship it in a proper box and NOT an envelope, so I need a better company. For Satin Paper, 13x19, thanks!
This was really helpful. I intend to buy some digital botanical prints online but they are zipped files which essentially means I have to print them and frame them myself. As part of their recommendations, they state one should use Matt or Satin paper for a higher quality finish. What would u recommend?
So how did it go? What kind of printer did you use? I’m ignorant on the subject, i am looking to print game inserts to replace the generic ones from gamestop
@@cresentia_carrot2419 I hope you don't mind if i answer it, i'm no expert but, i tried printing on a normal printer (canon TS series basic), it will only used up all the inks and it won't stick even if you use a photo paper. Hope this helps, again i'm no expert.
@@cresentia_carrot2419 Your welcome. I'am a hobbyist and i do print all my photos, that's why i invested on a photo printer that prints photos only...but there are newer printers now a days that can print just like the pro printers, try looking at Epson.

What is thicker? Satin or gloss?
Thank you, it would've been even more helpful though if you printed something on each one of them.
