Hi RC BOY, when you say "put a bearing back in" do you mean back into your model? If so, then typically I put the bearing on the shaft, axle etc. that will run through it, then use that to help guide the bearing into where it goes (gearbox, steering knuckle etc.), trying to ensure that it goes in straight & square. I just fit by hand - you shouldn't ever need to really force or hammer bearings to get them seated - if you are in this situation the bearing is not going in square and you should try again. Hth.
Hi, I am not familiar with Super Lube, but see that they make a number of grease and oil products (www.super-lube.com/). Difficult to say if the particular Super Lube product you have would be suitable. But I can say that for my scale trail trucks which often go through muddy & wet terrain, marine grease is definitely helping reduce (not prevent) water ingress and rust.
Hi Joe, you need to measure the internal diameter (ID) of the hole in the middle of the bearing, outside diameter (OD) of the whole bearing and then the thickness. For example a Tamiya #1150 bearing is 5x11x4mm.
@@4WheelRCUK thank you just having real difficulty in finding parts for my acme condor I'm a newbie to nitro rc and bought a basic cheap model but may of done a bad thing
You still using the marine grease... now a day everyone talking about silicone oil...I have a redcat and I’m gonna do maintenance On the bearings, but don’t know what to use, grease or oil... your video is about 5 years old... just wondering how the marine grease is holding up.
Hi Frank, still using marine grease for my scale trail trucks that go into mucky/wet stuff. It is working very well for me. For things like my eRevo & Slash I use lithuim or ceramic based grease. But yes, oil not grease for lighter duty/high RPM bearings.
Très bon vidéo. Nice and clear thank you for that video don’t be shy to put more video about rc maintenance.
Today I was [39] years old when i learned that i actually have to open up my bearing to lubricate it
THANKS MATE 🤙🤙🤙
Very well done!
how do you put a bearing back in? please make a video or if you have one please give me a link. PS BEST RC VIDS EVER!!!!

thank you for replying I figured out out. I'm a beginner in RC so I was also wondering where bearings are usually located in a 4×4 truck.
Thx!!
Do you know what body shell will fit a nitro Savage S 25 please 🙏
I have looked everywhere and can't find this bearing shaker anywhere. No hobby stores or online.
Have a look on hobbyking.com: www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__24467__TrackStar_Bearing_Shaker.html
I have some Super Lube at home..what do you think of them? Can I use Super Lube for RC stuffs or Marine Grease is the way to go?

How do I measure what bearings I will need as I want to change from bushings

Still grease.. Because oil has a lower viscosity you'll have to run maintenance more often and usually bearing duty isn't anyones favorite chore :P
