Mine has been removed since 2013 and still functioning well with no issues at all..
Wonderful news, thanks for your support! 👌🏻
Hi Deon, great video. By any chance could you help me out? I have a 2015 2kd 2.5 hilux, i just reconditioned the injectors and turbo. I also have a 76mm downpipe and exhuast as well as an egr delete. It feels much better power wise but in every gear when i try going over 2500-3000rpm it starts to stutter and doesnt push on. As i go into the next gear the same problem continues at 2000-3000rpm. Im really struggling to find the fault. Do you think it could be the map sensor or that the injectors werent done properly ?
Thank you very much! It could be a number of things. I would furthermore check the vacuum line on the turbo and see if the little boost pipe on the MAP sensor is not kinked or leaking. If those are fine, all that is left are the air flow sensor or MAP sensor . If the MAP was replaced, be sure that it is the one with the white square on top. I hope this helps and you get your Hilux sorted! 👌
Why would the filter have burnt oil inside ?
Possibly burnt engine oil sucked through the breather pipe...
Doesn't this filter protect the map sensor??
Rather replace the filter then the sensor
Yes, like I also mentioned in the video, it's your choice how long to wait to replace it. 👍
@@DIYwithDeon that isnt a "delete" though.
@DIYwithDeon where in the engine of the 1997 Toyota Corolla the wire of the vacuum solenoid switch valve connects to ?
Does it have any orientation?
The inserted part (white/black) goes to the MAP sensor. 👌🏻
Hallo, Can I remove the filter map forever? Will he deal damage?
It is entirely up to you. I removed mine permanently and my MAP sensor is still fine.
I’ve had advice to replace these every 200,000 klms.
Advantages and disadvantages to bypassing or not.
