My 2023 GOTY and year overview.

- 2023, what a year for gaming. No one can play every great game that comes out in a given year, and that holds especially true for 2023, seems like every week another new banger would release.

Super happy to see you give Xenoblade a try. Easily one of the best "modern" Nintendo games and JRPGs. Personally, Mario Wonder is my GOTY. Just loved that to pieces. Pikmin 4 being a close second.
Great watch as always. I wasn't in the loop on SF6 and the logo looked very corporate to me so I assumed it was another devolution of the previous titles, but now I'm going to look more into it. My fav was SFvTekkn on PS Vita. Also, FF16 seems pretty interesting from the demo, I had great time which is strange cause I also do not like medieval themes lol. That being said, favorite game of 2023 for me personally is hands down Cyberpunk 2, better known as Cyberpunk 2077:Phantom Liberty. We are so blessed to be able to experience art like that game. It's a utter masterpiece. That's enough rambling from me tho lol stay awesome & thank for the vid!

This was one of the greatest years in gaming since 2001. Some of my highlights are Metroid Prime remastered, FF16, Fire Emblem engage, RE4 Remake, Sea of Stars and Ocatopath Traveler 2. Just to name a few.
Great video Mike. This really has been an amazing year for gaming. My GOTY is Zelda TotK (I put 180 hours and every minute felt good) but I played lots of games worth mention, some released this year, some not.
Mario Wonder, Pikmin 4, Metroid Prime, Signalis, Abzu, The Touryst, Pokemon Violet, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland… god! So many. Truly amazing year.🎉

I played through a bunch of games this year.
Started off with some from software games: Shadow Tower, Eternal Ring, replaying dark souls 2, and i beat armored core 6 3+ times haha.
Platinumed Like a Dragon Gaiden and really enjoyed it.
I loved FFXVI i beat it back to back lol. But i understand its criticisms. Ff7 is my favorite and really enjoy a lot of squares early projects but ff16 i PERSONALLY thought was better then ffxv (which i liked but only played the game with no dlc, felt a bit unfinished but im just happy we even got the game given its dev cycle)
Played a bunch of indie games also. But didnt get around to the baulders gate.
Sf6 was absolutely fantastic and feel the same about sf5. Was pretyy disappointed with mk1. I think the gameplay and story mode was good, just feels barebones. I sold my kollectors edition for it which is blasphemy 🤣. Kept the game, still playing it here and there but man sf6 was just another level.
So im not sure. I feel like Armored Core was probably my favorite this year. Ac6, gaiden, or sf6.
whats up mike 👋🏿👋🏿 i really wanted to play final fantasy crisis core but i felt the same way about the voices. i love the psp voices but somethings sounds off about the new voices.

Considering Divinity Original Sin was one of the best games of 2014, and Divinity Original Sin 2 was my game of the year for 2017, it was no surprise that Baldur's Gate 3 easily became my game of the year. In fact, not just game of the year, but game of the last few years. Shoutout to the Dead Space remake and Super Mario Wonder.

Not bandwagoning, my game of the year was baulders gate 3, amazing story, challenging and strategic gameplay, really in depth character interactions and lore, very immersive
For me, my 2023 GoTY is DLC, that been Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed, I haven't really been doing much gaming this year as I have been focusing on other stuff.
Also, glad to hear that the Sonic Frontiers DLC is better, I lost interest once I heard that Amy does use her hammer in combat, which is something I hope has since been added

I want to play Balder’s Gate so bad but as a Dad and someone who can only play games about 5 hours a week I know I would never get through it. Love living vicariously through others and their gaming!
Didn't play that much games this year.
I have Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii and I absolutely loved it when I beat it. The characters and story are incredible it's my favorite rpg ever. My goty has to be baldurs gate 3 so amazing I preordered the physical right away.
RE4 remake is really weird in my book as well. It's not bad by any means, but it's not all that memorable to me either.

O I love most of the Armored Core games, and I was able to play the beginning 6 this year, but there just wasn’t enough time for me to fully jump into it yet. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to, because I like what I played.
Yo Mike, did you ever end up getting that PS4 Steelbook case for FFX/FFX-2 I told you about? You mentioned being interested like a year ago, just wanted to know if you ended up getting it lol. Also, XVI is AMAZING. The story is insanely good. Yeah, battle system is completely different. But the STORY.
