    There’s something unique about you Josie. I can imagine how you were as a child. Your parents did a really great job. Love that you haven’t let the world harden you and you’re still a complete softie. It’s so refreshing and endearing.

      I agree, I love how gentle and inspiring Josie is and Charlie too! They are cocky or full of themselves like so many other successful creators have become! Josies love of nature and her goals to make everything better and more beautiful in every way is just awe inspiring. She’s never afraid to get her hands dirty and I love all her content showing her gardening and hers and Charlie’s love of their home and making right for them. Both are successful and so talented and well dressed yet never ram designers down your face and always have a range of things in their lives from high end to high street! Travel videos are also some of my all time favourites! ❤❤

    Josie, my friends laugh at me for the amount of garlic I use in my cooking. I always use the whole bulb too in everything I make 😃 I love roasted garlic too, and roasted tomatoes 🍅 😋 Not had a cold in five years, so the whole bulb of garlic must be doing me some good! 😃 x 🦋🐿🦋

    Hi Josie, FYI don’t waste your expensive EVOO to cook with. Reserve it for making your dressings and on top of your cooked food. When you put EVOO into a hot pan it destroys the polyphenols. Also the heat causes the flavor compounds to evaporate so also dont use your more elevated flavor EVOO’s you paid extra for. For your cooking just use a lower priced EVOO otherwise you’re simply throwing your money into your skillet than into your body. Some people believe not to even use EVOO when cooking because it has a lower heat tolerance than just regular Olive Oil. I still use EVOO for all my basic sautéing and eggs because I don’t turn the heat up high and keep it at a medium temp but definitely don’t use anything you paid extra $’s for extra polyphenol’s or flavor profiles because those do get destroyed:(

    • @EnneagramEcho
      @EnneagramEcho 2 місяці тому

      Thanks for that EVOO info bit! I hadn't known before that high heat destroys the polyphenols.

    I didn’t take up tennis until I was 42 and it is such a lovely social game I would highly recommend it. You don’t have to be really good as long as you are all about the same standard or two stronger players and two weaker players split balances the game to perfection 🎾 xx

    No Charlie, locally soup should be served with either a slice of granary bread or a crusty cob.
    There used to be an amazing vegetarian restaurant/cafe next door to Morrisons on Greenhill Street in Stratford. Unfortunately, the supermarket relocated and they lost their footfall. Their carrot and coriander soup with a big wedge of granary bread, was gorgeous.

    I totally agree with Charlie about making the soup. Roasting your veggies and adding herbs would add more depth and taste to your soups. Healthy recipes don't have to have the absence of taste. When you were making the soup ,I thought that's going to be bland and without taste. Your husband was honest and kind. He always takes much care to take care of your feelings. He is a very kind and sweet young man! However,if you want to improve your cooking, kind constructive advice should be taken and accepted. ❤😊

    Darlings💗When you char or grill the vegetables they are very high in A.G.E’s. Also, garlic is very heating and it is a medicine. Less is more. Think of traditional Ayurveda or even Italian cooking, where ingredients are very subtle & harmonised.

  • @andrealandsburg
    @andrealandsburg 2 місяці тому +14

    Josie, Charlie is right..the soup you make is blended , so the vegetables etc. need to be pre roasted in order to have depth of flavour, plus you do need to add seasoning before blending . Traditional stove top soups acquire flavour because you start with sautéing onion, carrot, celery, adding seasonings , then adding broth and any other veg or ingredients and simmering on low heat over time..that's what develops depth of flavour.These are two very different styles of soup making with different results. 😊

    Hi josie, I would question the container of the subscription olive oil. It's a weak acid that will leach the plastic (if plastic) into the oil which you will then consume.
    I would always suggest glass bottles.

    Hello Josie! Cast iron skillet will help with the iron as well. I had severe iron deficiency! Cured it with black strap molasses, which has the highest level that our body can absorb! Not a big fan of sugar. I do stevia as well but I will put black strap in some foods from time to time to keep my iron levels up.

    Perhaps I just have the same taste as Charlie, but I 100% agree with everything he’s said 😆 Unless I’m making a base broth (mainly for Asian soups) I’ll always roast veggies+go with whole bulbs of garlic. Especially for creamy soups, I feel like the robust flavor is really meant for it! Of course, everyone has their own taste preferences though. So if you like it, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise 🤣

      @@sarahgill1248 Same here. Although, I often have 'weird' stuff happen around me, it's never made me feel threatened (thank Gawd).
      Unrelated, but I returned to my old school-grounds, after my son's baptism, and (after 28 years) I found the gold cross, that I lost when I was 8 years old!!! I mean, what are the odds?!

      @@bernitajenkins7581 My friend lost her wedding ring on a beach when on her honeymoon. They returned to the same resort for their one year anniversary, sat on the beach and she put her hand in the sand and pulled the wedding ring out, with their names and wedding date engraved! There's got to be more to it than luck!

    Yes to more garlic or just about any spice or seasoning because there is not a more bland and boring vegetable than zucchini.

    Oh no poor thing 🤕 hope ur feeling better, I would’ve been so upset lol 😥
    I have to say, I’m like Charlie with the garlic unfortunately for everyone around me 😂 🧄
    I agree with the importance of good quality vitamins n also growing ur own food. There’s so much nastiness going own with the food these days from gmo, cancer causing chemicals n now using apeel for keeping fruits n veg “fresh”. N if ur eating a bunch of processed foods it’s a double whammy. I try as much as possible to buy local, farmers market n grow my own as well.
