Great job! I worked as a programmer on this. Some of those skips are definitely my fault. Also that terrible intro sequence. I plan to do a playthrough with developer commentary on my channel later this year.

God I feel so bad from hearing them talk so much trash about this game, I played it A LOT when I was kid and it was super fun for me, I loved to play around doing but dog stuff, great memories man.

That cutscene skip is weird. I thought Gears Of War's "Hold A and tap X twice" was weird...
It makes sense to me. the controls were set up on screen like a paw. so pressing all of the buttons is just what a dog would do.

I wouldn't say that the run wasn't enjoyable,just the part with the skip that as you said ,was really inconsistent.
Yeah, it blows, of course it goes better in practice and then when i am actually on the stage it takes several minutes to get. Nothing i can really do, but i still enjoyed the run nonetheless :)

I accidentally conditioned myself as a kid to associate this game with a splitting migraine. I was playing through this game at my grandma's house one night, and lied about having already had dinner so I could keep playing. It resulted in a starvation migraine which caused me to finally put the game down and ask her for something to eat.
Now whenever I look at anything from A Dog's Life, I have flashbacks of unbearable head pain and remember the colors being far brighter and more saturated than they really are.
What an entertaining run! I lost it when he took a shit on the docks.

I remember being seriously impressed by the graphics on this game back in the PS2 days.
Well now we need for next GDQ "Dog Island" .
They make you press all 4 buttons to skip a cutscene so that it's difficult to accidentally skip a cutscene. It's like how a lot of games more simply have you press Start to pause the cutscene and then Select to skip it.

Really loved this game when I was 10, althrought it was really too easy. The ending didn't disturb me at the time, but looking back now, it's was weird yeah :')
Man I got this game at way too old an age to be playing it. But by god it was my favourite game, me and a few of my friends played this so much. It was our dirty little secret. We loved it, and I still do. I replay it once or twice every year. It brings out my inner child.
It's certainly not a great game, but it doesn't deserve the awful categorizing. It is competent if not a bit stiff for it's time. And by god it is just overflowing with charm and heart. It was made by people who loved making it.
This was my absolute favourite game as a kid!
