designTimber - March House

Learn from the multidisciplinary team behind March House - highly commended in the Private category of the 2022 Wood Awards.
Designed by Knox Bhavan Architects, this raised riverside home was built using a prefabricated OSB cassette system.
During the webinar, we heard from Fergus Knox from Knox Bhavan Architects, structural engineer Tim Lucas from Price & Myers and digital manufacturing specialist Jonathan Green from BlokBuild as they discussed the design and process of this pioneering residential timber project.

Fergus graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture in 2016 where his thesis project explored timber construction in tall buildings including prefabrication. Since, he has worked as a project Architect at Knox Bhavan Architects delivering a number of prefabricated timber houses across South East England. He has been closely involved in Knox Bhavan's work in Mumbai and prefabricated low cost housing in Bristol and the South West. Fergus is also currently leading the design of a new experimental music studio in Peckham

Tim is a partner at Price & Myers and an Associate Professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture. As a structural engineer he has worked with some of the world’s leading artists and architects on the design of buildings, bridges and sculptures. Many of his projects have pioneered structurally innovative systems and digitally-crafted manufacturing methods.
