Little details for the uniforms (the anime doesn't tell much) they're made to be like modern armor. The vest are made with a gel like skeleton (ribs, back) for absorbing the various shock, the hoodie can be inflate with hair (for protection) + a radio for communication + eyes protection and the sole of the boots have a cushion inside for landing when they do parkour.

14:13 fun fact: in the manga the reveal of these outfits flowed with the same theme of the incident they had with the elementary school. that being reconstruction and rebirth or as the anime put it "before and after".

One of the only times I strongly disagree with Koro Sensei was in this episode. 1. He should have not have slapped his students, even if it was a single hit that is a line that cannot be crossed, it does not matter how close you are to the students. 2. How dare he ban them from studying?! That is the exact opposite of a teacher’s purpose! Punishment or not that is too far in an elite school like theirs, or any school for the matter! Plus the bad grades they got resulting from no studying is exactly what caused Nagisa’s dilemma with his mother in a couple episodes. (Though the situation had obviously been going on longer, her reactions were far more serious this time around, she tried to burn down the fricken school and drugged her son!)
