I used to have a huge collection of guitars, maybe like 20, but most of them were squier's and epiphone, lawsuit guitars, and what not. I sold them all and bought a 1978 Fender american strat, a 1986 Ibanez Roadstar 2, and a 1986 Charvel Model 6. BEST. DECISION. OF. MY. LIFE. I seriously could not be more happy. My thought to this girl? sell all the cheap guitar (minus sentimental ones I.E. first guitar) and buy a really nice guitar

They're all beautiful! I ended up so far with 11 guitars from when I was 14 and they're all unique in their own way. Love your Tele! Epiphones are great instruments and they don't break the bank if you're looking to play Music and not as an investment. Pretty voice too!

that Gibson Les Paul costs about £800-1000 easily
I am petty sure it's an epiphone one.
What GIBSON Les Paul.
It's not a Gibson or an Epiphone.. At 6:25 she shows an up close of the head. It's some brand I've never heard of.
But really ... if the wood is solid mahogany with a maple top, good construction and good quality electronics, it doesn't matter the brand - it's a true Les Paul. When you buy anything with "Gibson" on it, at least half of what you're paying for is the name.

I still have pretty much every guitar I've ever owned including acoustics and basses. I started out with my first acoustic in 1980 branded "Tennessee" but made by Ibanez (I think, not completely sure) and the my first electric, a Hondo LP copy with DiMarzio pickups.
I also picked up a Cimar Astra 2085 (definitely made by Ibanez and quite rare now) and a Tokai bass in the early days, then a Charvette - this was while I was still living with my parents.
Later on I got more into electronic music up until around 2005 then got the guitar bug again quite seriously. Since then my collection has grown considerably, I now have various Fenders (Strats, Tele/Tele Deluxe/Tele Cabronita, , Jazzmaster, Jazz Bass), Gibson LP Studio, various Epiphones (Dot/Riviera/Explorer/LP/SG's).
I've been buying early 80's Westone Thunder guitars and basses when I can find them. Quite a few Squier Strats too as I love modding them, then a few oddities like a Vox Standard 25 I picked up earlier this year and some old Shaftesbury guitars from the early 1970's like the red one on this page (mine).

So, nothing too spectacular but a really nice range of different guitars. I read a comment yesterday, the formula for the right number of guitars to own is N + 1, where N is the number of guitars that you already have!
How about you?
It's not really about how many guitars you have. Guitars need to be played. If you can play them all often enough that's good.
It's when you can't keep playing all of them that you need to think about getting rid of some. Let the ones you can't find time enough for go to a new home where they can be loved the way they should be.

Actually the way I did it was buy that great guitar, or two, or three, but have some midrange ones and some inexpensive ones, too. They all have their own character but the buying of everything is more about GAS. ;)

You should trade all the guitars except the tele and get a proper acoustic... A wooden one
+irockuroll60 literally all of those are made of wood, but a brand like aith would be a great move from epiphone. That jumbo is gorgeous though

+Ollie King he/ she means actual solid wood, not laminate back and sides. She could get a low-range Martin for all those pieces of crap. She really should trade all the guitars except for the MIM Tele. That is a great guitar. Period.

I said "Low range" not "Low end."
Real (Solid) Martins start at around $1,500 USD. In reality she could fetch around 2K for these guitars, IF she included the Tele. (Which I would hold onto)
I would get a solid mahagonny body or mahagonny backs/sides with a spruce top, for around $1,600 USD. I'm a fan of OOO body styles, but it seems that she would like the larger OO or other larger bodied Martins.
Just to clarify - Theres a big difference between low end and low range. You're thinking of introductory student models which Martin doesnt even make in the USA. They make them in Mexico.

I love guitars,I have six but I've in the past have had a lot ,like your collection nice guitars,my guitars 2015 614ce taylor,2018 814 ce dlx v brace taylor,2015 816ce taylor,2015 914ce taylor, baby taylor,1980 martin d28 I bought them new except the martin,as you can tell I love taylor guitars and in the past I've owned just about every name out there ,I'm also crazy about guild guitars ,was thinking about trying a epiphone that's one I've never had,and do you like the epiphone? I'm getting ready to buy a new 517 taylor that I really like a lot
I myself have gone through so many guitars, including numerous strats, mustangs and acoustics, now I have one telecaster with a Strat maple neck and 4 Stratocasters and 1 squier acoustic that I’ve had for 20 years

+super boy That's what I did. Sold two Epiphones and an Ibanez RG and got a 2013 Gibson 70s Tribute, and it simply destroys everything I've ever laid my hands on, even more expensive Gibsons to be honest.
+super boy I would rather get something else for that kind of money really. Like an ESP strat instead of an Fender. Or get a custom made for 2000 dollars. Got an awesome guy who makes strats for that money in sweden. Stainless steel frets, quaters sawn maple neck, all the good stuff. You don't get a fancy brand name on the headstock but you will get a much better guitar with some options.
There are probably tons of good custom shops that makes great guitars for decent money if you do some research.

They're typically similar in price from what I found in the States. My Gibson was only $850 and I could finance it, and it's easily the best guitar I've ever played
+svfutbol20 Totally agree- once you get something like a Gibson, you never want to play anything else. I have a few Epiphone's and higher priced Squiers and just got my first Gibson today, a 2016 Les Paul Gold Top and it's absolutely incredible. I've been playing for only about two years but I've gotten pretty good and wanted something nice, now I don't even see the point of owning the others.

Well said. The USA made stuff hold their value better too, so if you decided to sell that one day and get a Trad, Standard or Custom, you'll pretty much make all your money back.
If you like that telecaster you should check out the Squier Classic vibe series they are great!

I totally agree - I sold my '12 American Standard for both a 50's Tele and Strat (Classic Vibe). The quality is out of this world - your paying $400 for a guitar that looks and plays like a $1000 one! The only part I would switch out (eventually) is the plastic nut.
The Strat feels just as solid as my old MIA, but actually sounds better. And the Tele sounds unbelievable - quack quack

First let me say how awesome I think it is today that so many young ladies are taking up the guitar and who are extremely good at it as well, as this young lady is. Back in my days when I played professionally, the 60's, 70's & 80's, we didn't see many ladies playing guitars or even having an interest in them. I always though that sad.
I've been an Epiphone man for 50+ years now so I have to go with "a fine collection of Epiphones my dear". I have the EL-00, the EJ-200SCE, the PR-5 Pro, the LP Special II, the LP Studio and I used to have the DOT Studio in natural. Very nice collection.
It's interesting to see just how many Les Paul copies are out there these days. It use to be many moons ago Gibson would file a lawsuit against any company who made a Les Paul too closely resembling theirs however, time marches on and things change.
You're a very talented and beautiful young lady with an excellent voice so please never give up your music. I realize life's challenges will come along and most of us do change however, never ever let you music fade away from you or you will regret it as so many have whom I've known over the years. Thanks for sharing a great video presentation.

Hey! I've got two of the same guitars! I've got the same Epiphone EJ-200ce. It's got to be my favourite acoustic to play. The body thickness gives me a bit of shoulder pain though when played for a while. I've also go a similar blue MIM Telecaster. (I can't tell, if it's exactly the same blue, mine has a bit of metallic fleck to it). It too is one of my favourite guitars to play due to its very thin neck. Anyway -- great song as well. Best of luck with your artistic career!

Great collection. I wish my daughters played. It's so funny seeing your first guitar compared to mine. You have to bear in mind I was born in 1969 :-) I still have it. It's a really cheap old Stella acoustic with a tailpiece and floating bridge. I recently went and got it out of storage and gave it a decent set up. I have built up quite a collection over the years. It's a passion for me as I work as a guitar tech in my day job.

nice guitars, the thing i love about epiphones are that they are fairly inexpensive (in terms of guitars) but they still have amazing quality and sound
Epiphone is definitely stepping their game up. I've played some that were better than gibsons.

Whenever I have any money that I could spend on myself I always think about getting a new guitar! I've got about 10 lined up in my head that I could semi-justify buying if I had the dough. A Telecaster and a Martin acoustic are next on the list methinks. Great vid :D

I love collections and I also love mine. I have a few Mexican fenders which are awesome, a PRS, Gretsch and Bc Rich Neil boshart mockingbird all Chinese (non American I'm sure, can't vouche for Chinese) but I've learned not all my super valuable ones are superior. I buy used on the more valuable especially but they are all wonderful, as long as you choose ones you like and make you want to play them. Epi's make some pretty darn nice stuff

Sick collection I never seen a Gibson Les Paul knock off look so good
Antorias were made in Japan, 1970-80s. Made in the same factory as Ibanez guitars. Some other names they used were El Degas, and Mann.
