As a single mother my sister would stock up every year when she received her tax return. It helped them to be set all year for basics. Always seems like a lot of money but it actually saved her money. She got food, toiletries, school supplies and OTC medications. She didn't blow the money TV's and such. Throughout the year she had extra money for her and the girls to do fun things and get extra goodies because she stocked up. Always admired her for taking such good care of her and the girls.
This year I used my tax return to pay my rent for the year, my consumer cellular phone line and internet and HSLDA membership. Other than that, none of my other bills can be paid in advance. I hate owing money (borrower is slave to the lender after all) but thankfully, those are minimal :)
And, it takes a lot less energy, that having to stock up one's self! I'm nolonger a 'spring chicken' and found the process of shopping and organzing the haul to be more than a tad exhausting! So glad to have prepared well enough that I nolonger have to worry about it, and there is sufficient to feed my daugher and family, plus myself and pets for close to four years if we ration properly.

This video posting just made my week!!! When the pandemic started, I kelp thinking "If I had to be in quarantine, I would want to be at Shelby's house".
I'm forever forgetting my shopping list, so when I've written it out, I take a photo of it on my phone, that way I'll always have a copy lol. Great video, thank you xx
Shelby, I just admire how organized and neat you are. My family eats vegan and still just love your hauls. We did a mini-stock up the beginning of March then the beginning of May (mostly long-term storage items, beans, rice,etc.). You have energized me to go through my stock, get better organized and planned out for the next 12 months.
I've been waiting for this all year! Lol You're $3000 haul, last year, inspired me to start building a pantry for my own family. Thankfully it has saved us through the difficult times we are now going through. Time to get a coffee and some pen and paper for some Shelby inspiration time. Thank you. ❤
Tess you made my year!!! So many people said they stocked up the last couples years because of my videos and they saved money not eating out as much.....but then when covid hit they said they were so blessed because it has helped them get through these hard times. May God continue to Bless you!!!
Sadly I play that game often.. but I don't much enjoy it. These days I only shop once every 3 weeks.. for perishables. Being a Senior ... these days I do not enjoy putting my life on the line unneccesarily.

It’s a sweet jalapeño that is canned , we go though jars of it, I will get you the recipe, the syrup is so good on meats , I mix in with sour cream/cream fresh for salad dressing . Very easy to make and cans up beautifully . Think your family would love it .

I love to watch when you do your stock pile of groceries. I love you showing everything when you put it in your pantry and freezer. One thing you have In your kitchen that that I wish I could see again is you coffee and tea station. That is amazing to me. I’m rearranging my kitchen and I hope to have a drawer like it.
Amazing! I’m watching in complete and utter awe. I live in Cyprus, a small island in the Mediterranean, and we are in a heat wave, so watching a winter-stock up is a nice escape!!! I am Canadian-Cypriot, born in Canada, so your videos are a sweet balm to my nostalgia 💖 Your videos are one of the highlights of my day (I am at home resting after a procedure and I am currently binge-watching your videos). I made your lovely cornbread recipe with the honey butter yesterday. I loved it! I had never liked cornbread before. I will try more and more of your recipes over the next few months. Thank you for sharing your sweet life with us. I wish that your home and life be always filled with family, sweet memories and abundance 🌺
Your mega hauls are my favourite thing to watch on UA-cam Shelby! Can’t wait to see what delicious things you cook up with all this. We get our milk delivered too from our local dairy (in glass bottles) and it brings such old fashioned charm to our day (as well as being better for the environment)... I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO DO THIS AGAIN! I'M SO EXCITED. Your last stock up video LITERALLY saved me and my son. I was so prepared for this virus. God bless you.
I just wanted to say I have really enjoyed your channel so much. You have introduced me to new recipes that I had not heard of before and some that I was intimidated by. My husband said he loves the new mexican dishes I have tried. Thank you so much.
I love these annual hauls. I feel like I know your shopping and cooking habits so well now. I was worried that you didn’t have enough Thai Red Curry sauce... until the last store! Phew!
Wow you inspire me to stock up more. I am coming to your house to grocery shop.lol. I look forward to seeing more of your videos, thank you for helping me to prep better.
I love, love, love your yearly haul. I like to do the same only mine is much smaller. It’s just my husband and me. We rarely have guest. You really got some great bargains.
All Things Christine I budget 4500. I stock up once a year. It’s around 2000. Then I pick up fresh and other items throughout the year. This includes cleaning supplies. I am in awe of Shelby. We do not have bargains in my area like she finds. Those are great prices. I am learning a lot from her. I may have to up my budget because meats have increased since COVID-19. Beef prices sometimes as much as 2.00 per pound. Bacon has increased over 3.00 per package.
That Old Kountry store has such wonderful things! Those towels are so charming and old-timey and the little variety jams and jellies are sooooo cute! Love it!
I love all of your videos, but your yearly stock-ups are my absolute favorite! Perfect timing on the posting as we are expecting our first at the end of September and I’m currently getting ready to do a huge stock-up of our own! ☺️
I’ve enjoyed watching your video! I paused many times to add something that you reminded me about putting on my grocery list to keep my pantry stocked! Thank you!
Literally dream of this!! I wish I could go into a store and not worry about if I have enough money for everything I'd like to buy as far as food is concerned!! This was a amazing haul of food, Maybe one day the lord will bless me so I can do this too!! You guys are awesome!!
Can you start small? I had to start small because of finances, so when I shopped if there was 1 or 2 things on special that I know I use then I would just stock up on that.
You my dear have the best grocery hall on UA-cam by far... I would like to ask, how long does it take you to prepare for a year's worth of shopping? I know you have to make a list rotate your food and then repackage some items and then store everything....Bless your heart...
I have a family of 5, we heavy stock 2x a year. It save so much money! We were able to pay off our “big debt” in a little over a year, 14 months! We use taxes and then save a certain amount of money every check to do stock #2. My children hate the end of our stock pile, it’s clean out time! We eat random stuff for about 2 wks, but I want a bare shelf before stocking back up again! If you are able to hit clearances and use coupons, that’s a huge score in my book! We also make sure whatever food we eat all the animals can eat too! Zero food wasted! Food is just to expensive to throw away! Great job!
WOW! Now you HAVE to show us how/where you store all that! Do you have a separate storage room? I can't imagine all this food would fit in your kitchen pantry. Thanks for filming all this -- it was fascinating to watch! We are currently working on a 3-month supply of food for our family. It's quite overwhelming when you're just starting out.
Pamela that is awesome. It seems when you get a three month pantry, you save so much money because there is always something to make for dinner instead of eating out. Good job
Pamela Compton like you I’m just getting started and I absolutely agree, it is quite overwhelming because not only do you have to think about what you need but which items actually store the best ; what type of sugar what type of flour, oil, etc. then it’s a whole big learning curve on how you are supposed to store everything long term too.
@@blueraven2345 i made a two week meal plan based on what we normally eat. After writing it down and then knowing rough quantities, it made it a lot easier to see what sales to take advantage of and gave me a lot more focus. Not only for shopping but also for planning my garden. I recommend making some extra portions when you make dinner and can or freeze them, its better than canned soup and cheaper too.
Holy snap! I was very much taken aback by your video. You guys are a great and very resourceful family! I already was a huge fan of the stockpiling once a year for essentials and then to hear you also supplement your diet with homegrown or made produce/foods as well - delightful! Great video and thank you for the inspiration!
Haven’t even finished the beginning adverts yet but I’ve already liked and just wanted to say that I love your big stock ups! Hope you and your beautiful family are safe and well, Shelby! 💕💕
You are an amazing mother and a wife Shelby . I am also a nurse like you retired now and had worked in the operating room open heart specialty . Been following you for years . I love your haul
So excited to watch this video! As always you are an inspiration. Headed to Costco this week to pick up a Food saver so that I can expand my food hauls little by little.
I bet when you were first married you would never of thought you would be so blessed to be able to do a haul like this. I like how hard you guys worked and saved for things. Blessings to you and Ken and boys. ❤️🙂🇨🇦🦋💜🥬🌹🍏
Super cool haul! I would recommend seeing if you could buy reuseable items like metal or silicone straws, reuseable batteries, flannel or cotton fabric rounds, etc. Just a thought when you think about your year over year use. Small changes are still good changes.
I can't believe how fast time passes!!With work all the time, and when you don't go anywhere i love your videos!!All of them!they make me so so happy!!kisses from Greece!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Hi Shelby, that is one fantastic grocery haul you have there. I love seeing all the different foods and products from other countries, what you all have there in the stores. You have a great range of items and all the produce looks so fresh. I hope you are all doing great and staying safe and healthy given what is happening right now all over the world. I have little newborn baby boy that I will not take out in this pandemic at all, I have not been anywhere in 5 weeks, only to the GP and the maternal health nurse for Kayden's appointments but that's all. Stay safe hun xoxox
All hale the queen! You are a genius my dear. I spend between over 1 grand a month for a houseful of boys. I actually got my husband to watch some of this video and now we have plans to stock up for the year. Thanks for sharing!
It’s my first time to comment & I’ve been watching your video all the way from the Philippines since the quarantine started in March! It seems like I’ve known you forever! 😘
Hey Queens yall are our best interest at heart cause we stock the same way you do alot of people think stock is just for food but its not its for what ever make the house function!
Living in WNY I can really appreciate stocking up for the winter. With Lake Erie being so warm this season, I think it's going to be a really cold winter. However, the older we get, the smaller our grocery hauls are. We just can't eat like we used to! Lol!!!!! 🤣
From wny living on south Jersey. Grow cukes for pickles, tomatoes, green beans for the frz. Garlic and onions in the past but we're kinda worn out. So good to see the stock up haul!!!
I've been getting one container of wipes about every two weeks at Wal-Mart. They only have a few on the shelves though. I go right when they open when they are putting out stock. And before it gets too crowded. East Tennessee here.
That's exactly how I felt. I'm so glad that she got it in early with everything going on. I was wondering if that was going to happen. Ms. Shelby has given me serious pantry and freezer goals for the past few months.
As a single mother my sister would stock up every year when she received her tax return. It helped them to be set all year for basics.
That is really smart to get done before you deliver and congrats on your first!!!
I’ve enjoyed watching your video! I paused many times to add something that you reminded me about putting on my grocery list to keep my pantry stocked! Thank you!
Oh my word, that's $1300 more than last year! Sign of the times.
What part I. The video does she say how much she spent? I didn’t catch it
I wait all year for these yearly haul videos they're my favorite. the way you organize your life makes so much sense you're amazing keep doing u
Thats great advice ♡
The fireball was the funniest thing. I love these videos. I can’t wait to be able to stick my pantry in one go!
You my dear have the best grocery hall on UA-cam by far... I would like to ask, how long does it take you to prepare for a year's worth of shopping? I know you have to make a list rotate your food and then repackage some items and then store everything....Bless your heart...
Simply amazing how organized you are. I take notes every time I watch you.
I'd love to see your re-packaging and food-saver-ing. Love you guys.
Great job!
my favorite video of the year!
Awe thank you
Hi from Ireland, delighted to discover you on utube, love your hauls.
T Innerste thank you, good advice.
There is one good thing about just starting you don't have to rotate everything you get will be good for a long time
Wow, thank you!
Fabulous haul! Some of those meat prices were amazing!
Exactly what I've been looking for someone who is brave enough to shop for the year. I love those peanut butter cups
I love these videos and because of these videos I was well stocked before and during this pandemic.
Cant believe it's been a year since I watched your last one. Seriously love this. It's so satisfying lol
And in the long run it saves money. Same for a safety razor, menstrual cup and reuseable zipbags.
I liked even before watching! 🥰 i’ve been waiting for this! Thanks Shelby!
Me too. So glad to hear from the Queen!
Yay! Thank you!
It’s my first time to comment & I’ve been watching your video all the way from the Philippines since the quarantine started in March! It seems like I’ve known you forever! 😘
Yes! I’ve been rewatching your old stock up videos these are my favorite !
Yaaaaaaaaaayyyy! Let me get snacks to watch( why I'm so excited, idk, but I am). Lol
Lol!!!!! 🤣
I am in WNY too. I am hoping for a mild winter. But I say that every year lol.
From wny living on south Jersey. Grow cukes for pickles, tomatoes, green beans for the frz. Garlic and onions in the past but we're kinda worn out. So good to see the stock up haul!!!
Random but I find your voice so friendly and comforting ❤️
WOW disinfectant wipes, good for you. I haven’t been able to get them for 5 months now. Love your stock up videos, look forward to them
JoAnn I felt like I won the Lotto when I found the wipes
Only place I have been getting them is Costco-call ahead!
I've been getting one container of wipes about every two weeks at Wal-Mart. They only have a few on the shelves though. I go right when they open when they are putting out stock. And before it gets too crowded. East Tennessee here.
@@4star62 What is Costco-call ahead? I have been a
@@MARY-pd1xt I call the store and they look the product up on their computer as to whether or not they have any in stock.
My favorite video of the year! Also love seeing your pantry and freezer videos!
I’ve been watching your haul from last year and thinking “oh I have to wait until October for the annual stock up haul!” No! Not this year. 😄
I wanted to get stocked up early this year with all that has been going on.
That's exactly how I felt. I'm so glad that she got it in early with everything going on. I was wondering if that was going to happen. Ms. Shelby has given me serious pantry and freezer goals for the past few months.
TheQueensCabinet I have been doing the same and following your lead!
Oddly enough u was just thinking that she should move it up to now. Shortages are coming again.
Thank you for sharing your grocery haul for the year. I enjoyed seeing the video.
