I really can't wrap my head around the fact that Paul was 38 when he died in 2010... and the rest of the band are almost 50 years old..
Paul gray and Joey Jordison were my favorite members out of the band, they always were the most kindest and most humble out of the band, it was really heartbreaking when they had both passed away. It sucks knowing that I'll never have a chance to see both of them live. Thie work they have put onto music will always be remembered, and I'm glad that I found out about this band and who they are, not as musicians, but as people.
Rest in peace Paul and Joey❤
But that's the beautiful thing about art, it will long outlive the creators of it. So in a way they'll never be gone. Thanks for watching!
@@TheLaunchPadStudio True! The music will be timeless and I'm glad for that. It is crazy to think that your work will outlive you. But makes it all the worthwhile
@@BlackRainnz that's why in this life you should choose what you dedicate yourself to wisely. We all have a chance to leave a mark in some way, if we are dedicated enough
I was lucky enough to see them twice with the real full line up....
The 9 is forever! RIP Paul & Joey
Hell yeah man, thanks for watching!
Couldn't have said it better myself
Yes you know that Kevin man, ain't that the Truth Brother!
The KnOT isn't just a band it's a lifestyle, Francise, you don't listen to SliPkNoT you experience the 9 .. ..you choose to be a Wriggling MAGGOT!!!

RIP
"TIL WE DIE" RIP #2 Paul and #1 Joey
Even those that know nothing about the band or music can be taken off guard by how the most brutally talented artists are so goddam down to earth.
Agreed!
I think Vman being a guitar player that picked up a Bass for Slipknot makes him even more perfect.
I met Paul before Slipknot. We both lived in Ankeny, Iowa at the time. We would jam at Anders (Andy) apartment right down the street from my apartment, working on crazy jazz metal type stuff. We were going to call it "sumofubugly". When I moved across town I actually moved right next door to him. Always a great guy and friendly. Years later he was always glazed over when I saw him. Drugs are bad! I joined the military and years later saw they had started Slipknot with Andy at first. I missed the whole rise of Slipknot.
Seems like the band got off opiates around 2009ish
Seeing the footage of them carrying his bass out of that hotel room bra! That's deep 😔
rip brother, we'll see you soon 🍻
All us maggots and all metal fans we all miss you im glad i got to see you play with your brothers it was so awesome MAGGOTS FOR LIFE AND FOREVER RIP PAUL Gray 🤘
Paul was a humble man and a gifted bassist and Joey was One of my idols to drumming
He just seems so chill I cam see how he kept the band balanced. Seems like just a good dude ... rip P.G
Won't lie, Slipknot not my kinda music. But this is a great documentary and insight into a person and his vision. Very touching when you hear the band and family talk about him. Joeys contributions makes it all the more sad/ poingient...So RIP Paul and Joey...Respect
I don't think poor Joey ever recovered from losing Paul, they were extremely close and it's so heartbreaking seeing Joey and Corey the others like this and knowing what was soon to be.. this band is surrounded by tragedy
It's algoods now bro there both together in heaven rocking gods kingdom like no other rip Paul and Joey 🙏🙌🥺😢😭
They treated joey like shit
The interview with Corey after Paul died brought tears to my eyes. RIP Paul Grey, we'll see you soon brother.
Paul may not have intended to become a bass player but he was born for that shit lol he fits almost all the stereotypes which unfortunately includes dying young. Love ya Paul thanks for helping inspire myself and thousands of others to pick up bass 💔🤘🏻
"Fits al stereotypes including dying young" Idk why but thats hilarious to me. RIP Paul Gray
Fuck this doc, I've been crying the whole time, such a beautiful thing you did sir.
I love Paul and Joey and miss them so much.😢 It's so not fair. My love for Slipknot greately wavered after what they did to Joey. Kicking him out through a stupid e-mail like he was a dirtbag not worth their time. You don't do that stuff. No matter what. Paul would've been so pissed if he was still alive. Clown, Corey and the others got off easy with him not being around anymore. Still I love Slipknot and continue to listen to them out of love and respect for Joey and Paul, who worked their asses off to make the band what it is today. MAGGOT 4 LIFE!!!
Rest in peace Paul and Joey. You are both legends and legends never die. I hope uou both are jamming in peace in the after life 🤘🏻
12 years later and your love is not forgotten Paul. We love you so much.
Slipknot will never be the same without Paul and Joey, may they Rest In Peace and thank you for the amazing memories!! Slipknot is one my favorite bands and in fact I have a Slipknot tribal S logo tattoo on my right upper arm 🤘🎸🤘🎸
I was never into slipknot but after watching this I could appreciate Paul for all the love that flowed through cccc like an open channel. r.i.p. Paul. We’re still feeling your love in 2022.
Cory crushed me getting his tattoo. RIP #2,, you will NEVER be forgotten
At least after every new Slipknot record I come back and dig deep through all their interviews and stuff. I first paid attention to this band when I was 10 and saw a live show of them on tv. It just blew me away. The heaviness, the chaos, the masks, the whole delivery. Kinda scary, but also relatable and understanding.
When I was 14 my grandpa died after a long suffer of cancer. 12 days later the news of Paul Grays passing reached me. I remember so detailed how I watched this press conference over and over, crying my eyes out and being so much more emotional than I was for my grandpas passing. I didnt had the best relationship to him, but that a stranger with a goddamn mask being gone hit me so much more.. I remember how disappointed I felt by this. Due that, I didnt told anybody about how it looked inside me because I thought nobody will understand it and it became the first loss in my life I had to go through by myself. It shaped me and made me realize how important music is to me. But to this day its also a scar I carry around.
Watching this, i am still crying man.
i remember when my friend, telling me when i got back to Cali. most of our friend didn't like Slipknot but we did. and we shred a tear to Paul.
I forgot how hard it was to watch the press conference when Paul died rip number 2 and joey
RIP Paul&Joey love you guys. Miss y'all! Nothing like the 9!! Maggot 4 life
I've never been a slipknot fan and can't say I ever will be but that shit made me cry my arse off!!
Talking about someone you love in past tense is always one of the hardest things to do
i didnt know how much i would relate to corey here, my dad died out of no where and i couldnt say goodbye, i just miss him so much
i love when he's talking about each person individually and what they each mean to him, and how they're different in their own ways and all great. really sweet.
Miss this guy. +12 years. Never been the same. Rumble In Peace, #2🤘
This is absolutely fantastic. I can't believe I've never seen this. I have several Slipknot documentary type dvds, but the level of personal detail Paul goes into here is truly a gift to hear and I miss him dearly. What a tragedy. The 9 forever. You did an amazing job on this video and can tell how much you care about Paul and the band.
Thanks for the props K&L!! Long live the 'knot!
That was the raddest video I’ve ever seen. So much emotion dripping in every word.
Great job!
Thanks for the props. My Part 2 with Joey Jordison will be dropping very soon.
I still turn to those albums. Paul and Joey's love pours out like a waterfall
He's 💯 about it being from Iowa and the midwest area.. we work hard and party even harder..
Slipknot is not the same at all rest in peace legend of original metallic riffs we will never forget you Paul
idk why it makes me so mad to see Corey cry this much over Paul and not over Joey- it made it feel like a pissing contest... like does he have a tattoo of Joey on him somewhere or was Corey just DONE with the amount of death in the band like bro- what... Paul and Joey basically had the same intentions, idk why I'm so bitter about it istg, does anyone else feel what I'm feeling or nah?
This man's death is the only time I cried for someone I've never met
I wish I could like this twice man, well done 👍
Thanks a (ver)million!
He seems like a great man! With his demons with his heart. The knot sound isn’t the same since. Definitely he is missed. Thank you for the energy you put in this world. God bless you Paul #2
Such a powerful story and documentary! R.I.P Forever a Slip fan
Genius that had demons of extraordinary power and darkness.
Another amazing gifted person that had succumbed to the greatest demon of all.
Addiction is horrible I despise the ignorant who look down at addicts when they can't even fully comprehend everything going on.
No one will ever truly know the darkness each person addicted goes through, each one is unique and complex which is why it is so powerful and dark.
We can relate but that is all, went from talking about having a baby to losing his fight not even a couple weeks later. That's tragic.
That's the truth of this darkness, so many suffer with it and a lot go through it alone which makes it so tragic.
RIP Paul. 🖤
I still miss him.
Rest in peace Paul..! 👑 Thanks for uploading this piece of History.
Loved slipknot. Never payed attention to the bass, or couldn't hear it much before. Got some new decent hardware and software, listening to surfacing now and hearing his lines, thinking about the guy I never met, but would have loved to have a beer with him and listen to some awesome road story. Love y'all Paul and Joey 😭
RIP Paul gone but not forgotten
My best friend that got me into music also Overdosed. Hard to watch this man. RIP
Thanks for this man. He played with my buddy Tim Ripper Owens a few times. He was a great guy.
I love this band and play their music virtually nonstop, ill be listening with new ears thanks to this thoughtful documentary. RIP Paul & Joey 🤘🏻
Good to hear!
In 90s Roadrunner was like Mekka for all kind of metal music.I dunno what happens today but back then if you want to be HUUUUUGE you sign to them!
Rip Paul grey!,he was my favourite slipknot member I have his number 2 on my arm.
the clips of him shredding live are amazing bro, would donate if i could, paul had prob the biggest influence on me on bass, how creative of a player he was was amazing
All good man, subscribing is a good alternative! Paul's been an inspiration for an entire generation of bass players and itll continue for years to come. Thanks for watching!
Somewhere in between crying too hard to move, and committing to memory that when I see my friend today I'm going to give them a world record hug, am I left
RIP forever and always
Literally all of my love
I'm so glad i got to see you guys play with your brothers it was so awesome MAGGOTS FOR LIFE AND FOREVER RIP JOEY JORDISON and Paul Gray we miss you guys both so much 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Great to see Paul respected I still remember where I was at when I heard he was gone props to the video my friend
Thanks for taking the time to give kudos! It helps motivate me to make more videos. The 9 for life.
paul and joey the most extreme metal members of slipknots original lineup as well as mick
Great video, this needed to be done and put together.....good job
Thank you very much
R.I.P. PAUL & JOEY
🤘🔥💀🔥🤘
RIP PAUL & JOEY You guy's will always be missed by your millions of fans of Slipknot and your friends and family and bandmates too and you guys will never be forgotten
yo dude U put amazing peace of work !
Thanks a lot !!
I feel like Paul, Joey and Mick were the reason why Slipknot were the heaviest out of those Nu Metal bands. Joey was big on Black and Death metal and Paul & Mick big on Death metal. Without Paul and Joey they’ve lost a bit of that edge.
Yep, I've said the same thing many times before. Unfortunately I feel that Mick has also lost his edge, now just complicit in churning out whatever shit Corey and Shawn decide.
From Malaysia sending so much love. ❤️🇲🇾
& Good vibes back to you!
R.I.P PAUL an JOEY
I subscribed bro rip Paul
Thanks!! More slipknot stuff on the way!!
Paul Gray 😥😭
That police call is hard to listen to
I feel the same way
Slipknot died with Paul. Now is just Corey and Clown Inc.
Shawn crahans daughter also died of an overdose...R.I.P.
RIP 🙏
What upsets me is this documentary makes slipknot look like a brotherhood something we all thought they were as later information came I think we all understand there just a business like any other major band I don't blame them but watching this just makes me think they don't tell a lot of truth
Lol they are not about business. They’re about expression and art. It IS a brotherhood. You twat
They don’t.
DING DING DING!!!!!! We have some sign of intelligence here!
The thing is they probably were like this. But the industry changes them, contractual obligation is a fucking bitch
They have to bow to the almighty contact..... Brotherhood isn't possible with contracts....unless you all love money and are willing to see the contract through.....
♥️
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
RIP
I wonder where that Flying V that his friend sold for speed is now.
Aww Corey's wife is so sweet. I wonder what broke them up? R.I.P Paulie ❤️
Yes Paul, I know what you mean
so sad - still sad :(
🔥✨🤘🏽🕯💜🕯🤘🏽✨🔥
After subliminal verses I can't help but feel it's all been downhill, still listen to the self titled album, iowa, sub, and the live 9.0 album, it's just not the same.
Paul, Chris n Joey was the best of slipknot.
I'm here to suck up! One love Paul!
His “friend” traded his guitar for an 8 ball of speed… some friend!
I wish honesty could save ones self alone...you can be honest with the world and it will hate you if you lie to yourself you hate yourself. Very few truly honest people are loved it's actually the opposite. I sold my first guitar for an 8 ball...i respect the honesty....but we lie to ourselves thinking we're indestructible and will live forever. I'm glad he enjoyed his success but I wonder why even in extreme success we wanna opt out of reality.??
Propel. Holy shit.
Wow always thought Joey started the band
🎼
It's also strange how no one gave 2 shits about him until he died I get it I really do Paul's gf was begging all the members to help with a intervention in the slipknot told her they don't give shit if Paul is doing drugs and it his problem not there's this is true what they really said this documentary making them look like brothers is bullshit maybe way the fuck back early 2000s late 90s they were a brotherhood but ever since Ohio nothing more then a business i really don't blame them and I do get it its just this band had so much more meaning to so many people then just another megadeth are Metallica just another big business not the real thing that's why I stick to local scenes when bands are just local that's when it's the most real and that's when it's a true brotherhood
One thing I do know - pills …the drinking… any hard drugs available ( I’ve witnessed and experienced) Never has a good ending for the ones having to clean up the mess after the fact. I’m living proof - my choice was made by me
I’m glad you’re still here man
I think the phone call was unnecessary, but the rest was great footage
Ngl I NEVER IMAGINED SID LOOKING LIKE SIS BRO HE LOOK LIKE HE BREAK DANCE
Who is the guy speaking at the end? (The older-looking guy With the hat.)
I think you mean Ross Robinson
So the drawers and is cold
I bet the original singer wishes he had stayed in Slipknot doing back up vocals and percussion! Haha. He'd be one rich dude!
Anders is doing construction work now
@@TheLaunchPadStudio Well that's good he's employed and all and I've done construction work myself but being able to do music and be filthy rich doing it is the ultimate dream and goal. Then to only have to do back up vocals and percussion (more like banging on a toy like drum 🥁 😂) is just cake? I doubt much practice is needed for that 😂😆
