Great review video! I bought a Fit 3 for my wife for our 5 year Anniversary and of course I had to try it out before I set it up for her and I compared it to my Galaxy Watch 5 and I like the Fit 3 more! Way more comfortable and the screen response is way faster! Just ordered one for myself so I will be doing more side by side comparisons to my GW5.
I did the same thing. Bought one for my wife as a gift since she was looking for a fitness tracker and I liked it so much ended up buying one myself and don't even use my watch anymore
@sowpur I have a Galaxy 4 and thinking of getting this watch because it's smaller. I would like to switch between wearing both watches. Are you able to have more than one Samsung watch added to your phone?
I had a Samsung Watch 6 about 6 months ago, and I was not happy with its 36 hours of battery life. Coming from Fitbits which had 7 days of battery life. The Watch 6 would run out of juice in the middle of the night, or during the day, at inconvenient times because it is not easy to remember to charge it all the time. I bought the Fit3 because of the claimed 13 days, and it generally lasts me only slightly over 4 days with many of the notification functions turned off. I don't think I would have bought it if I had known the battery life was so short. But 4 days is still better than the Watch 6's 1 and a half days, so I am not extremely disappointed. Also the watch seems to use 4 times as much battery during the night as during the day. I used about 24% battery in 24 hours; but in that day I used 16% during the 8 hours of sleep. This was with the snore function off but heartbeats and Blood Oxygen on, and my phone next to my bed.
Try disabling the heart rate tracking. I am using a Honor band 6. Its exactly like the Fit 3, but I get about 7 to 9 days battery with continuous heart rate monitoring off. But then again, i don't know why they add a feature and boast about the battery life when you get that battery life only if you disable certain features. So sad.
Good fitness tracker from Samsung, snappy interface, long battery life, message replies available, calendar, calculator on top of the usual alarms, timers and weather. I like the heath tab with the great integration and uniformity with the Samsung phone health app, too bad it limits some features compatibility only with Samsung devices. And the elephant in the room: no GPS??? I get the price point target but probably a deal-breaker for many
I think the issue with Apple making a fitness tracker like that is that they don't want to compete in the space. They certainly wouldn't compete on price, and if they added features, I don't think the price would be any different from the Apple Watch. To be honest, this doesn't tempt me too much. It's been a while since I've had a Mi Band, but as I recall, those get much better battery life. I've got an Amazfit T-Rex Pro that I got for $100 that runs circles around the Fit 3. Yes, it's 30% more expensive, but it's a lot less expensive than a new Galaxy watch. I think if you're in the Samsung ecosystem, and you don't want to spring for a new Galaxy watch, but you don't want to go on eBay, this is a solid option. I just wish they brought a little bit more to the table for that price, given the competition.
Cool watch. Like you said, functional and pretty much all you need while out cycling or running. Now, I do not think I heard anything about water resistance as after that, I sure like to swim. Would I have to take it off?

@@TechMishka When I had the Fit 3 paired with my S24+, it would normally sync heart data to my phone via the Samsung Health app. However, after a while (typically a day of activity) it would just stop sending data. I tried switching between manual and continuous heart measuring, clearing the Fit 3 Plugin/Galaxy Wearable cache, and even resesting/repairing the Fit 3, but the same issue would happen. Eventually it stopped syncing heart data altogether. It still synced steps, stress measurements, SpO2 data, and only some exercises. For example it synced data from a stationary bike ride but refuses to synced a walk. It was very annoying and I was upset because I really liked the Fit 3. Coming to a fit 3 from a xiaomi mi watch i like this more it looks better and all i really need one for is heart rate and the time and the other things for convenience and the gps doesn't bother me i could barely get my mi watch to get gps signal
Okay, I've had this Fit 3 for a few days now. The battery really disappoints me. Before this I had OPPO Watch Free. This could easily last 7/9 days. The Fit 3 with AOD off from 24 hours of use consumes 25% of the battery, so it would mean that it will only last 4 days and this is really low. Do I need to adjust certain settings? Does anyone know?
