Ending with such an enchanted walk, this video has made me smile all the way through, and I will follow in your footsteps next year as you have shown parts of Scarborough I have never seen before. Thanks Mary x
Love the views of the sea. The poet was such a young age when she died. It's so sad when young people cannot live a long life and see what the world has to offer them. BTW, Stop feeding the sea gulls; Stop attacks! LOL Those beach huts were certainly colorful. Thanks for the video! John from MI
Good catch to have such nice warm weather. I'm intrigued by the Grand Hotel. It's is such an imposing place. I hope it gets restored to its former glory.
Beautiful and captivating! What a great day and such a cool and different place to show us. You had my attention from the sunrise onward. There is definitely nothing like this where I live, and probably nothing like it on the whole East Coast of the U.S. Thanks for this video, can't wait for more.
Your joyful spirit brightened up my computer screen with this beautiful walk today. You also piqued my historical interest in Scarborough Castle and I found the English Heritage website that gave a good, in depth view of the long history there. Thanks for another beautiful stroll and video.
Thanks Mary. We used to have family holidays in Scarborough in the 1970s and have happy memories of the place. You are right. The lanterns and illuminations in Peasholm Park were magical.
Dreamlike scenery and a lot of history there I’m sure. I wonder if our present day constructions will last 8 centuries? (Not, 😂) I also wonder if this is the place the song “Scarborough Fair” was written about? Thank you for the wonderful stroll in this beautiful part of your country. 🥰🙏🏻
Thank you so much Tim. It is certainly blustery where I live and a few things have been blown down but luckily I'm in an area that isn't too badly affected. Thanks so much for your kind concern 😊
Firstly Lovley video and walk around Scarborough and peasholm Park and Gardens 😁 like you and land locked I always find and yearn for a trip to our coast lines. I have not been to whitby for quite a few years and must head back myself. Takecare, look forward to your next outing and venture 😁
Yes we certainly are - but so far only the wheelie bins and bird table have been brought down. Lily for some reason no longer wants to go outside to explore the garden though 🐈
Thankyou Mary, lovely video,Scarborough is only about 2 hours away from me and we often make a visit there,I first visited there when on holiday as a child with my parents, still looks much the same ,but there has been some changes, unfortunately not all for the better, but is'nt that true for many places ? I have only just discovered your channel but will now watch more of your videos, thanks once again and stay safe ,and Merry Christmas to you and yours 😎 😄 Alan
Thank you Alan! Yes I know what you mean about it not being what it once was. Thanks for watching and for checking out my other videos - there are plenty for you to watch! Hope you have a lovely Christmas too 🎄
Did a lovely long distance walk this summer from Bempton cliffs over to Filey then got the train back. We went right down to the tip o Filey Brigg I think it's about 14miles. Cuts a few miles off if you skip that bit.
