I'm always waiting for a new video. Love to see you keep up with more powerful cars. Definitely gives me some hope when I go to the track with my Civic.
Golf R can get around 250kw atw with a flash tune, good suspension and tires and it's pretty good to go. My friends has 415kw atw, bilstein clubsport suspension, upgraded adjustable control arms, swaybars, strut braces, flared guards and 255 semi slicks all round. Oh and a 7 speed TTRS gearbox. Very hard to catch on the track.
Great driving !! An idea that would be cool to see is if you put a rear view camera to see how fast you leave them in the dust on the next corner after you past a car ;)
Was good fun last Wednesday. I was in the novice group (Blue gt350) but all the Audi drivers were driving with similar behavior to the one in your video. Every time there was a traffic jam it was one of the three audis in our group xD Being my first time out on a track I completely wrecked my back trying to be a hero out there...my car didn't break, but it definitely broke me. Hope to see you out there in September or at Englishtown and hope you chase down those TC gremlins with your tuner

the reverb of the brz sounds so good. I wish it had more power, but hey its a fun car nonetheless, golf r's are no slouches, they can be very fast, most of their power is distributed to the front even tough its awd.
Yes really enjoying your Vids, I would gander they have diffrent run groups and you and a few others could be moved up ? or next group up are serious hp track only cars ?
Hey man been watching your videos, my home track is at Englishtown, I drifted there for many years but hung up my gloves about 2 years. Wanting to do this instead because I miss some sprinted legal driving. Anything really to prepare for or be worried about trying this out? Just looking to have some fun again.. thanks
nah man nothing to worry about really. if anything I'd throw in some dot4 brake fluid and make sure the car is good to go. maybe review the rules/flags/track layout if you wanna make sure you're ready 👍
At minimum, follow the tech inspection form provided by the sanctioning body for each event. This includes safety equipment requirements (helmet inlcuded) and vehicle safety requirements. Beyond that, focusing on reliability (i.e. dependability, consistency) is probably the next most important priority. If you step in the brakes, will it slow the car down sufficiently and consistently in each brake zone? If the weight transfers from side-side or front-back, will the car be upset and unpredictable? Will the engine overheat after a couple laps?
Have you ever thought about a supercharger? Or is it not really worth it on this engine? I've been reading a bit about modding the FA20 and it seems like apart from what you did with yours, the only other things you could really do to gain some decent power would be E85 and forced induction.
I wanted to turbo the car but it's hard to justify the price and hit to reliability when for a few grand more I could kswap it. I may try e85 tho a 20hp bump without effecting reliability would be welcome
@@dadhats Right that makes sense. Not to mention all the supporting mods that would be needed in order for the engine to handle a turbo. e85 seems like a pretty solid way to make some decent gains.
