In an interview in the Dragon Ball: Adventure Special, Akira Toriyama states that Monster Carrot and his henchmen were drifting through space after Jackie Chun destroyed the moon. So no, I don't think that Jackie Chun killed them.
Well, a other chapter of dragon ball have come to a close it was a good time, i honestly don't know krillin don't have a nose i just thought it was a design choice, also i truly believe that Master Roshi destroy the moon is still one of the insane moves in the series(even tho it happens a little later on, that honestly may need to check out), but anyway onward to next adventure of Dragon Ball....like the narrative would say until next time on Dragon Ball
