I’m an adult who has no business buying prom dresses at this point, BUT THAT FIRST ONE 😍💕🔥
Hi hope i love your videos i think you should definitely do a prom dress video in the future💓💓
Hi Hope, love your channel's pallet returns! I love all these dresses, too! Mia is a princess!!😍
Hi hope , ☺ and Mia feels amazing to see my two favorite UA-camrs watching each other
Omg Hope! I didn’t expect to see you in the comments lol.
Omg Hope! ❤️
Chotronette makes amazing whimsical non-conventional wedding dresses as well! Maybe a future video 👀🤭
Omg the information I need
Yessss
Where are they on the website? I haven’t been able to find any wedding dresses except for the white version of the blue one in this video
Let's all keep our fingers crossed! 🤞
I think she’d be married by time they ship to her but still a good video idea!
the Cinderella blue "dead husband robe" dress is gorgeous, but they should definitely remake it for you. The zipper & the sleeves & the tulle sewn into the waist (it looks like it got caught in the machine by mistake... it shouldn't be like that)
BTW All of these prom dress videos make me want to go back to prom. We didn't have all these fun options when I went to prom 🙄
The ruffle in the back is not a mistake! That's the design of the dress.
@@valentinaconon its not in the photo
@@Aisha_Luv, maybe you haven't seen the right photo/model of the dress. They are in different colors, all with the same ruffle in the back. Good day!
@@valentinaconon they're talking about the ruffle on the side, not the back
@@valentinaconon still looks out of place it's quite triggering. It looks fine on the side actually but really out of place when you look at it on the front :(
OMG I'm Romanian, from the city where the creators of the dresser are, and seeing you trying a Romanian brand made me feel so proud! I love you and all your content!
I'm Romanian too
Me too
Ceee, nu pot să cred!! Găsim și în România?
There were once some Romanian exchange students in my school. I had fun time teaching them about 3D-modeling. I was in a University of applied sciences in Finland. And we had to do a group task for studies. You have a beautiful country!
Hey Mia! I have heard of Chotronette not replacing faulty dresses or missing dresses, so I would love to see an update on whether they are willing to make this right before more people decide to splurge on them! 💕
And she said she ordered 8 months ago… so ummm she may be screwed. Unless her CC company refunds her.
They definitely screwed up on the Blue Ruffle Dress. That ruffle at her hip isn't supposed to be like according to the website photos. Plus there's faulty zipper & the too small sleeve cuffs. Mia has tiny arms so there's no way she shouldn't be able to do that up.
@@ashg2895 I said the exact same thing!
i was reading the same thing online, bad customer service
@@ashg2895 That’s what I’m thinking, like if you actually order this for prom and this is YOUR prom dress, and you receive it a month or a week before prom and it comes like this?? what are you supposed to do, if you pay $1000+ for a dress I expect the zipper to be the highest quality and zip up so smooth and easy, like you wouldn’t have time to ship it back or return it or get a new one ?
I'm Romanian and I didn't know about this brand so thank you for using your platform to raise awareness of different brands, some bigger some smaller. It makes me proud to see a Romanian brand featured in your video🥰
Same🥰🥰
I am Romanian too. Never heard of it!
Same 😜
@@roxana049 Feels like a convention right now meeting people from your own country
I heard of Chotronette from Aluziva. She had a gorgeous custom dress.
I was honestly a bit disappointed with these, which is shocking since they're $1000 dresses!! I think all of the faults on the blue dress really ruined the other two for me... I can't believe they shipped that blue dress when it has a broken zipper, part of the tulle caught at the waist, and too small/short sleeves!
And...the last dress is missing some embroidery According to the picture.
the sleeves thing is not the brands fault. These have been ordered over 8 months ago and Mia said shes been working out so probably arms gained some muscle weight leading to sleeves not being able to close. The zipper though is a bit shocking. How do you not check the zipper before sending a 1000 dollar dress off?
@@ArualCrisp I don't think her arms are the reason the sleeves don't fit right. Maybe that's partially the issue, but I think the sleeves are just a few inches shorter than they should be.
The ruffle in the back is not a mistake. That is the design of the dress!
@@valentinaconon do you work with the brand you seem very dedicated to this answer? No judgement, I’m just curious.
I know I’m 5 months late to the party, but did you ever locate the missing 2 dresses? Girl I died when you couldn’t find them! I almost bought my wedding dress from them and their work is STUNNING!!! I am in 💜 with their lavande fondant dress. I hope they made it to you safely!
Same! I'm searching for information if she found them or not. I see why you love that Dress it is sooo beautiful ❤❤
RIght? here i come fully a year after your comment still trying to find out whether she ever found the other dresses!
Same
I wish there was somewhere for adults to wear prom dresses because... I want to!!! As an 32 year old adult woman... I live through your prom dress videos :D
Some companies hold proms. You can also go on meet up and facebook to find local adult proms
Or check out some galas. That’s usually when I get the opportunity to glam up!
We threw one of my best friends a "Red Carpet" themed 40th birthday party. And everyone had to wear fancy dresses.
I agree!! I found the love of my life late and I wanna go to prom with him lol
Soon to be 32, same here. For sure 😂 I just live my dress dreams through Mia 😂
Casually loses two $1000 dresses and a broken zipper on another dress.
Mia: I love this!!!
You're too nice sometimes lol.
Yeah I appreciate she tries to remain positive but that blue dress in particular had so many faults. It’s pretty unacceptable for a dress that expensive to be delivered in that state
Fr I was thinking like girl that zipper is a problem, imagine someone actually orders this for prom and then the zipper doesn’t do up how upset and screwed you’d be
She is too nice to realize she's been effed over :/ the quality of those dresses and the costumer service do not fit the price tag
@@AcaciaBieberLove Yeah, or imagine someone orders a dress for a specific date, and it is not going to show up.
Delivery wasn't the brand's issue tho . But I agree Mia is just the sweetest !(
I'll never get sick of this. I'm almost 45yo, never had prom, never will (we don't have this in my country), but I love watching this. It's just so fun how you respond to the dresses and you look phenomenal in every single one too. My favourite Mia videos are: 1. You trying on new, interesting clothing (like these dresses), 2. Pranking mom with products (actually, everything with your mom in it ) 3. The return stuff you test.
Same x
Same ❤❤
I hope this doesn't come off as sounding mean since I know everyone has their own unique set of knowledge, but what you are calling a circle skirt is a hoop skirt. I truly do love your videos! You look great in everything you try on!
Hey Mia, these dresses are beautiful. I'm pretty sure that the waist tuck on the second blue dress is a mistake, I'm a seamstress and sometimes the fabric gets caught under the machine when sewing. I really hope they can fix this dress for you because it is very beautiful and you paid a lot of money and it's sets a good precedent for other buyers. Love your videos x
Came looking for this, the tuck on the blue dress definitely seems off.
Absolutely a defective dress down to the sleeves, zipper, and caught stitching 😬 please reach out to them Mia!
@@haleymckenzie286 The problem is, she’s doing this for a youtube video, what happens if someone actually orders this as their prom dress? then what are they supposed to do when they have a faulty zipper or a wonky ruffle?
@@haleymckenzie286 8 months to arrive, she was missing a dress or two, and no that’s not the risk, if you’re buying something from Shein then yes that’s the risk, if you’re paying $1000 for a custom made dress no. That should be quality, if the issue was it didn’t fit then yes that could be the risk of buying online
but it’s the zipper and it’s the ruffle on the blue dress, if you’re paying $1000 for a dress like this there should not be issues like the zipper not working. There’s no excuse for that, and other people in the comments are saying their customer service is bad they’re bad with refunds and returns and they delete negative reviews.
@@haleymckenzie286 how is that a risk you take ? You pay 1000$ for a dress and there is a long shipping( so you can’t send back the dress) problems with the delivery, problems on the dress … sometimes you have to order online and you don’t won’t this to happend for the price you paid . It’s not you fault but the compagnie
The first dress is PERFECT on Mia! If you don't somehow use it in your wedding, you need to do a photoshoot in it! It screams, "MIA!"
Yes! Imagine Mia changing into all these dresses 100×s at her wedding!😂💘
Mia, if you get those other two dresses, can you make a PART 2 video!?💘👍
The form is good but the color is totally different from the photo … it’s not as pretty as on the website . Kinda disapointing if you buy this 1000€
Yeah even the pattern of the skirt doesn't match the pictures. I wish she would take the time to compare each of the dresses against the listing, it's an important part of a good review.
It’s the lighting the pic on website taken in shadowy room while Mia usuin bright lights u can take pics in the dress with diff lighting n it’ll look like that too
i love the dresses with the hoop skirt! (which is not the same as a circle skirt, btw) so much fun drama!
Yes! When she says circle skirt I get confused. It's a hoop skirt or a crinoline.
I'm romanian and never heard of the brand before, and when you said it's a romanian brand I was shocked lol, and I searched it up and saw that it's based in Iasi, Romania which is literally the city I live in!!?? omg no way Mia is reviewing a brand from my CITY
Just letting you know that a circle skirt is a different thing to what you are referring to. What you have is a hoop skirt! Which is super great at proofing out dresses. A circle skirt is any skirt that is cut in a circle (giant circle of fabric with a hole in the waist), whereas a hoop skirt has hoops to be able to fill out the skirt.
I've been looking for this comment!
The exact comment i was about to make!
I just found your comment... after making the exact same 😆😅
I am with you Mia. I love to wear a hoop skirt under my dresses to puff it out.
That first dress was amazingly beautiful! The second dress does look good but for close to $1,000, those issues should not be happening.
im watching your videos because ive just bought a VERY *extra* evening/princess dress and am working up courage to wear it in public 😊
it looks similar to your blue ruffle dress!
Seeing Mia finally discover the love of hoop skirts is everything I ever needed.
chotronette reviews are overwhelmingly good because they delete all of the negative ones. there's been many scandals with them in the past in regards to scamming creators, withholding money & sending out faulty goods with no intent to fix/replace
oofff
I was thinking it was a bit suspicious. The dresses were gorgeous but one of the zippers didn't seem to work and also, she ordered them 8 months ago and yet still haven't gotten 2 of the 5 dresses... seems like they aren't good at managing their brand.
Woah and so expensive!
@@beckify1902 Seriously, for that much I would really expect quality!
I have to agree. For $1k that zipper better glide like butter. I would be PISSED to get a dress with a broken zipper and be missing something in more order after 8 MONTHS!
Mia beautiful as always. The dresses are gorgeous, but if I spent a grand on a dress and the zipper was broken I'd be pissed no matter how beautiful it is, it needs to be functional.
I've been looking at this brand for a potential wedding dress. A friend of mine got her wedding dress from them and it was STUNNING.
Edit: dress 3 was her wedding dress! Also your hair looks fantastic
Hey Mia!! I am actually romanian and I never heard of this brand. When you said it was a romanian brand I was so shocked, like how did I not heard of this brand..😂😂 But it really is beautiful, we romanians did this!! I am kinda proud right now😅
Girly this makeup look is everything also the animal print love love love
Ikr she looks gorgeous
And the hair!!! Everything amazing!
The lipstick is perfect for her! What if she got her wedding makeup trial? Anyway this was the comment I was looking for, so I could agree! Thank you!!
Mia, if you get those other two dresses, can you make a PART 2 video!?💘👍
I am OBSESSED with this makeup look! Mia is out here serving 👏🏼
Àq
And her hair!😍😍😍
Honestly I think I would never be sick of prom dresses video because of how pretty they're.
I wore a dress from this brand for my wedding and I still get compliments on it till this day!
Never heard about the brand and guess what... I'm Romanian. Usually we produce good quality clothing since we have talented seamstresses. Mia's makeup it's on point, she looks so gorgeous!
I also grew up in Romania, but never heard this brand before
Never heard of it.
MIA You should TOTALLY wear that floral dress at your reception!!! That would be so beautiful!!!
The first one, right
Great idea!
It’s gorgeous
That would be perfect
I was gonna say that nude d flower one should be her wedding gown 💯
I graduated high school yesterday- i remember when i went on my rabbit hole for looking for prom dresses. I love checking out other prom dresses and reminiscing that night. I may have not had a date but it still felt like a fairytale.
the flower dress with the hoop skirt...oh my! that is beyond stunning!!
ok but the fact that your on your bachelorette, planning a wedding, AND you still have time to film edit and post amazing vids??!! you're crazy Mia but we love you for it
She probably scheduled the video ahead of time.
She said on her insta that she already left them scheduled
@@NicoleMustto yes but knowing mia she’s definitely still putting in an insane amount of work!!
She has hired some of her family to edit I'm pretty sure
As much as I love watching these videos, I literally can’t imagine spending over $1,000 on a prom dress. My WEDDING dress was only $500 and that just about gave me a heart attack 😂 still so fun to get to watch though 🤗
Same girl same!
Haha same. my wedding dress was only $100 so I can't even imagine spending $1000 on something 😂
The third dress screams something you should wear for your bridal shower or rehearsal dinner. So whimsical and in theme with your wedding
Those dresses are beautiful. Also just wanted to let you know that your circle skirt is actually a hoop skirt. And the hoop skirt worked perfectly with those dresses 😍
I'm Romanian, but I've never heard of them, so you're not the only one living under a rock. :)) Gorgeous dresses, thanks for the recommendation.
I'm almost 62, and I love your prom dress videos. When I went to prom it was in 1977/ 1978, and surprisingly the bohemian style of dresses are similar to what I wore. Lol Those were the days! I love your channel, Mia! You and your family are treasures.
I legit come back to this video like every week. I wish I could win the lottery or something because that first dress is my dream prom dress. I would kill for it 😭
I LOVE the 1st and 3rd dresses, they are so whimsical and fairy like, making the girly part of me so happy.
I feel like the first dress goes so well with her whimsical wedding theme! She could use it as a reception dress or something
I'm Romanian 😂 love the way you say "lei" you can also reffer to them as "ron". It's pronounced with an "e" like in "hello" and an "i" like in "pizza".
Love you Mia ❤
Thanks for the pronunciation tip! I noticed that I didn't know how to say it either and I'm from the same continent...😅
The first dress was literally the most beautiful dress I have ever seen, like I'm so obsessed with it 😍😍😍😍
I love all these dresses, especially the last one with the embroidery and heart on the back! I love that you have this circle skirt that makes everything a princess dress!
Who wants Mia to try on Indian lehengas ?! It'll look absolutely gorgeous on you 💕💕
Yessssssss
YES OMG PLEASE
Please do that....she look beautiful in lehenga
question not to be rude but is it appropriate idk anything about Indian culture I love lehengas but idk if it's appropriate to try them on
@@isabellabaragana4636 noop it's not rude .you can try on 💕 I'm sure you gonna love it.
You should try 1861! They are based in montreal and sell pretty affordable dresses and clothes for everyday wear or for special occasions! I have bought dresses from them before and I love the brand!
Mia needs to see this comment so she can do a video with them 😊
Yes! They have great customer service in my experience too (online at least, not as much in the in-person boutiques)!
Oooh I might look into that
The third one is my favourite of their designs, and it suited you perfectly!! Absolute fairy vibe 🧚🏻♀️ the blue one also has a version in pink that I love 💗
Mia
Since your wedding is full of nature and gardening themes, the first and third dress would be so beautiful as one of the dresses you can change into on your wedding day. Very gorgeous dresses and the quality of them was outstanding, especially the first one with the boning and the tie sleeves
My thoughts EXACTLY! So Mia & beautiful.💘
Hey Mia, I just wanted to say that your skirt is actually called a hoop skirt!☺ In my County we have two festivals, one called Heritage Fest in Elizabethtown and the other is Frontier Days in Cave-In-Rock, IL. Our whole town dresses up in 1800's dresses and clothing and we actually have a pageant where we research a historical figure and read their story while we portray them on stage. The figure can be fictional or non-fictional, I portrayed a school teacher one year. After the pageant we have a parade and then one of the days the town puts on a play where we tell the stories of our town and the Cave hole where the river pirates use to hide out in Cave-In-Rock, IL. Anyways I have been very familiar with the old dresses and accessories since I was a child and just wanted to tell you that normally we call them hoop skirts and then the fabric that is layered over the skirt to give even more volume and to hide the bones of the skirt is crinoline. I love your videos! You always make me smile!
I'm from Northern IL and I'm definitely interested in frontier days
Omg this sounds so charming! Like something out of “When Calls The Heart’
I've always heard them referred to as hoop skirts in the US too! And the festivals sound amazing :)
I'm 33 but never went to prom. I will happily watch these prom dress videos whenever you post them 🥰 its so fun to have some type of experience with it still
Maybe you could get a dress like these or find a nice dress at a thrift store (or something like poshmark) and find a masquerade ball go to, a tea place, have a tea party with some people, go to an art show or even just a fun photoshoot for yourself or with some friends. Im 37 and do things like that 😊.
@@MyWorld-zw6oe that is such a cute idea! Thank you! Im thinking I'll do a little tea party photoshoot 💖
Stunning dresses, I think the 1st dress was my fav.
Also your makeup and hair looks stunning in this video.
for a brand that costs wayy too much for mediocre dresses and 'take individual measurements' beforehand, this doesn't cut it. right off the bat there are multiple issues.
I don't think Mia contacted their customer service, from what I've heard they're fantastic at sorting issues. When I ordered from them 2 years ago my order was perfect so I never needed to contact their customer service team.
I wouldn't call them mediocre dresses, they're tailor-made and up close you can tell the care that goes into the finishes such as all the appliques. People still talk to me about my dress and it made me feel amazing on my wedding day. It's hard to put a price on that, but I definitely don't think they're overpriced, it's just about having an event that justifies a large spend.
I got my bridesmaid dress from then for my brother's wedding and it was fab. Such a shame to hear of their not great customer service
i will tell you right now if you don't know, sewing is hard and takes s lot of time and effort. If you want a quality dress that doesn't fall apart after you wear it twice, it is going to be expensive, and with the amount of fabric and details those dresses have, trust me, they are not overpriced.
The blue one did have mistakes and the company should remedy that in some way, but if it was made perfectly it would be worth the price
This was my same thought
Firstly, making clothes is expensive. If you are used to fast fashion and have never sewn in your life then of course you wouldn't know how much it costs to even produce a tshirt (materials, time spent, wages and profit).
Secondly, these dresses are not mediocre. They are very well made and are all really unique. To add to that they take measurements and dresses are made to order which is good for all of us and for the enviroment.
Lastly, the only issue here that is actually a brands problem is a zipper on that second dress.
To add to that...months ago, when I ordered from them the checkout page said the dress will be shipped in 5-6 days (I'm from Slovenia), which it wasn't, and I wasn't expecting them to ship it in 5 days lmao. I have a sewing business myself and I know what takes to make that kind of a dress and I was SHOCKED they said 5 days but ok...whatever. I got my dress in like a month which was fine for me. Making a dress probably took them 2 weeks + 2 weeks shipping ...idk. But they for sure shouldn't lie to their customers.
But she said 8 months...that's weird. It was probably 8 months all together, because she got it one by one, not all of them together. If that's the case then that's fine.
I didn't love the first dress; it didn't feel like the pink shoulder ties went with the bodice color, which also didn't look like it went well with the skirt color. The repeating pattern on the skirt also made it look like a cheap fabric. The repeat was just too close together. I loved the color of the second one, it looked like like fluffy layers of clouds! Pity it had so many issues. The 3rd one again though, weird color choices. Flowers giving me grandma vibes for sure. & then the 2 missing dresses... a bit of a bummer all around on this one!
I agree with what you said about the first dress colours. The purple was too bright (didn't match the picture) and the pink was also too bright. If it was more nude all over it would have been prettier.
The second one had so many flaws and the third one was again... not the right colours/not matching and just some kind of tacky flowers? I'm not convinced. :(
Yes! First dress would have been perfect but then those shoulder tulle ribbons looked so gaudy and out of place and cheap. Why??
Right? Looks a bit too cheap for 1000$
Totally agree that the repeating pattern was a little off!
And don't forget the second dress. The bit that was attached to her hip. It was not supposed to lay like that. And the zipper. I mean 1000 dollar for that. Big no!
I don't think anyone can take Teuta´s place, they are just another level.
Mia I’ve followed you for quite some time now maybe 5 years and you have the power to make me laugh no matter what. I would make this comment to underlying how much work you put in to these video, I know it’s your work but I can feel the passion and the fun you have and it makes me so happy
Vicariously we ALL live our Prom/wedding fantasys through Mia's videos!💘👍

Little does she know..I WILL NEVER BE TIRED OF PROM DRESS VIDEOS
Hey Mia, I love how you have not changed in all the years I have watched your videos, and I enjoy seeing you get so excited for a certain thing.
As a 40 yr old woman, I LOVE your prom videos!! I never got to go to prom and I am in love with dresses like these!
Also just an FYI the underskirt is called a hoop skirt. A circle skirt is just a skirt that is made from a circle.
Hello from North Carolina 👋🏻 I’ve been watching your videos for years! Who else likes the video before watching??
That first dress is so you, Mia! It is gorgeous! So many beautiful details. The second dress looks like it would be fun to wear but the color cheapens it (in my opinion) somewhat. The third dress is stunning and is stunning on you! It is so unique!
I was lucky in that my Mom made all of my prom dresses and they were all so gorgeous. She also made my winter coats all of my dresses and 3 piece suits, (skirt, pants and blazer) She taught me to sew very early on and I funded my college education by making purses and selling them in Greenwich Village, Ny.
I can see you making outfits for your little Mia's, when you have them! You are becoming a truly talented seamstress yourself!
Mia your makeup in this video was SO GOOD! You look gorgeous as always☺️💗
I'LL NEVER GET TIRED WATCHING YOUR VIDS😭😭

Chortronette is the best! the big blue one was actually my wedding dress :D
I'm 52 and I ADORE everything about your Channel💕
I followed your sewing tutorial and made myself my daughter and my granddaughter matching dresses!
I LOVE your try-on videos...these dresses are amazing even with the flaws (I truly hope you find the other 2 and that the company will be willing to correct the flaws in the Blue dress)
The 2nd dress matches BEAUTIFULLY with your Wedding theme.
That's soo sweet
I love twinning with my mom and grandma!
I feel like you have peaked and are fully you on camera, unapologetically. I am here for it. I’ve always been so drawn to your videos, for years, I’d say almost from the start. Lately your energy is sooo contagious and it’s seriously any concept 💜
I know I suggested this brand to you on one of the last try on videos of yours I watched. My daughter discovered this brand back in 2016 when she wore one of their very first releases to her high school formal. It's the Australian version of prom. So stunning. I knew you would look amazing in them Mia. I hope you show us the other two when you get them.
The "circle skirt" is a hooped petticoat or crinoline. Very fashionable in mid-Victorian times, think Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind.
Thank you for this! I came here to say the same thing!
@@claudiafairbanks You’re welcome. It’s cute that she calls it a circle skirt, and I am impressed with her sewing skills, but I like calling it a crinoline.

MIA! I love your makeup look in this video! Also the last dress was my favorite! So beautiful just like you!
LOVED these dresses and they looked fantastic on you. Loved the video!
Reading the comments and also as a seamstress, I have to say it really would take a few seconds to just pop it onto a Judy and make sure it’s sewn correctly before you send it out… especially with a dress that expensive. Something to think about 😭
Omg the thumbnail is everything, Mia!! 😍 sooo excited for this video ♥️

mia we will NEVER get tired of prom dress videos 🥰 started watching you after I graduated high school and I still love them!!
You NEEEEED to do Disney princess inspired outfits with dresses like this!! Can you even imagine?!
The first one is my favorite. The petticoat just made it perfection!
I met you through prom dresses, when i was going to prom ALMOST 5 YEARS ago and i Have never left, through everything. I love every video you do
I am so happy you decided to make this video! I sent you a Dm about them in November and I never expect you to make a video on them!! They’re dresses are absolutely stunning and even though they are well known in the fashion industry, I don’t think they get enough world wide recognition
When I had my “prom” in 2016 I almost bought a dress from them, but was too unsure to order online from a company I didn’t know so I ended up getting a locally made customised dress. I think this video would’ve helped so much!
They’re all gorgeous, the first is my fav!! Also loveeee your hair and makeup here 😍
Mia is the one content creator we don’t deserve she’s so sweet and I feel like if we met her on the street she’d be the same person she is here and we all love that!!
I will forever love your prom dress(any dress) videos. My favs🥰
The first dresss literally everythingg! Luv it!
Oh dear i haven't even see the video yet, but from what I can see the thumbnail, if someone doesn't cast you in a historical period movie/show, they're doing everything wrong 😂 you look so pretty!!❤️❤️
