When she was showing off the dress and pointed out the boning, I legit thought she was pointing it out on the INSIDE of the dress. See that was intentional when she put it on was confusing.

There's also the insurance aspect of the dress shipments too to consider. If a buyer reports that a package containing 10 dresses gets lost or damaged during transit, that's a huge hit. Where as if 1 of 10 packages is lost/damaged, it's not as bad.
THIS it's why I always separated my bangs growing up because my mom would make me have the Dora haircut until I was a teenager. It's like I wanna try bangs again but I know it's gonna bother me like Mia struggling 24/7 like that and I'm not in the mood to deal with that again lol

This is why I learned to cut my own bangs over 10 years ago! A person with bangs HAS to have them cut immediately when they get in eyes! It’s VERY easy to cut your own bangs. You just follow the line your hairdresser created. Watch some videos for techniques or tips. Stick with the line your stylist made tho! Don’t do the crazy twist it and cut or anything like that!

@@MamaMOB the point i was making is that fast fashion is made in factories large factories that do not follow fair trade practices, use child labor, etc. they post a video using a mannequin to make it seem like they make the dress to order by draping the fabric on it then a seamstress or tailor drapes, pins, and sews it. my point is that likely this is a factory that cuts on huge machines many pieces in large volume and assembles dresses as listed above by many workers that each sew one small part of a dress over and over and over not whole dress at a time as pictured in the video.

That yellow dress is very very much a recreation of Teuta Matoshi. That lace is exactly like the lace she uses in her Daisy Sunshine series. I bought her gown length one as my wedding dress, and that's the exact lace.....

I love that you care if the brands are sustainable!! Just a note, usually Chinese brands that make the cheaper versions of other brands have workers from a minority called Uighurs in China. And they are being exploited by those brands. They are not given any money to work and they don't even have basic human rights inside China. So even if the brand looks okay and "sustainable", they don't tell you about the work conditions behind. That's why they can cut down on the craftsmanship price. just wanted to say, as someone with bigger breasts, they are not all they’re cracked up to be. they are heavy and make it difficult to be active, and can cause pain if they’re not supported correctly all the time. society criticizes women with smaller breasts but doesn’t make much clothing for ones with what they say is “desirable”. it is incredibly hard for me to find things that fit and I often opt for oversized clothing because of that. I find myself jealous of people with small breasts because at least they can just throw on a tank top or bathing suit and it’ll probably fit fine. regardless, the size of our breasts don’t matter at all. it’s just bullshit made up by shallow people, and I don’t know a single female who judges other females by their breast size or appearance. we are all just people living with the bodies we were given, and it doesn’t help anything to hate ourselves, so we just gotta do our best and try to be at peace with our vessels as much as we can💛

Why does it seem like no one cares that this is theft? Anyone with eyes can tell that these dresses are not 'inspired by' Tetua Matoshi but a complete and utter rip off with the intention to undercut TM's business by making the same clothes cost a fraction of the price. Considering that Mia went out of her way a few years ago to explain that Tetua Matoshi's prices were so high because everyone creating the dresses were being paid a livable wage, working healthy hours, and creating items of quality instead of quantity, it's kind of disheartening seeing Mia promote something like this without even acknowledging that the designs are stolen. I even recall that TM made Mia a free dress for her wedding--- imagine receiving something priceless like that from TM and then turning around and making a video to show nearly 5 million people where to get replicas for 80% off? If someone made a video telling the whole of youtube where to get MiaMaplesMarket replicas for cheaper I bet the response would be different--- but because TM's prices are viewed by most to be 'too high', it's okay to go shopping for stolen designs? Come on.

I have ordered a dress from them before! I ordered a yellow, strapless, full length one with a cape for my senior prom back in March. Mine arrived in time from prom in April. One thing she briefly talked about in this video was the custom sizing option on their website. They have custom sizing options, and they have custom designs! For free, you can submit your measurements instead. I really liked that option, and the representative was super quick to respond. It seemed though that they sized up a little bit, so I did have to get it tailored to fit me better. I actually asked for an extra swatch of the tulle fabric (I wanted to cut out the flowers and pin them in my hair), however I did not receive it. Maybe Mia got mine instead 😂. I found 2 flowers that had only been pinned that I guess they forgot to sew on. Not a big deal, just make sure to check. Also my dress was quite heavy because of all of the flower appliqués and tulle. Be warned if you are getting one of the strapless dresses. Overall really love the brand, and I totally recommend! I felt like a princess at prom, and I am so glad I bought the dress!
I watch a lot of sewing tutorials and this one came up a ton on my UA-cam shorts. The dress were fabulous. And the purple dress goes so well with the perils on the shoes.

Miss Jophiel's "about us" page is not only burried on the site but looks poorly written and possibly chatgpt.. not terrible but speaks to the quality care of the company... While the other actual designer has the "about" on the main menu and beautifully layed out and thorough writing

As a recent bangs convert, I will say I had the roughest time figuring out how to style them. I finally figured out to straighten them forward like i see you doing, but take it one step further and take the outside pieces that frame your face and give em a lil back curl away from your face. Not too much, just enough that they don’t curl under and against your temple.

That yellow dress is very very much a recreation of Teuta Matoshi. That lace is exactly like the lace she uses in her Daisy Sunshine series. I bought her gown length one as my wedding dress, and that's the exact lace.....
Yeah I went to the website to look if they'd have something similar to my favorite Teuta dress and omg they have almost the exact same dress with the same lace and color and everything. Idk just gives me the ick that they all look so similar to her gowns??

I love that you care if the brands are sustainable!! Just a note, usually Chinese brands that make the cheaper versions of other brands have workers from a minority called Uighurs in China. And they are being exploited by those brands. They are not given any money to work and they don't even have basic human rights inside China. So even if the brand looks okay and "sustainable", they don't tell you about the work conditions behind. That's why they can cut down on the craftsmanship price. You can look it up if you want more information, it's everywhere. Hope this helps! Love your work ❤️

just wanted to say, as someone with bigger breasts, they are not all they’re cracked up to be. they are heavy and make it difficult to be active, and can cause pain if they’re not supported correctly all the time. society criticizes women with smaller breasts but doesn’t make much clothing for ones with what they say is “desirable”. it is incredibly hard for me to find things that fit and I often opt for oversized clothing because of that. I find myself jealous of people with small breasts because at least they can just throw on a tank top or bathing suit and it’ll probably fit fine.
regardless, the size of our breasts don’t matter at all. it’s just bullshit made up by shallow people, and I don’t know a single female who judges other females by their breast size or appearance. we are all just people living with the bodies we were given, and it doesn’t help anything to hate ourselves, so we just gotta do our best and try to be at peace with our vessels as much as we can💛

Why does it seem like no one cares that this is theft? Anyone with eyes can tell that these dresses are not 'inspired by' Tetua Matoshi but a complete and utter rip off with the intention to undercut TM's business by making the same clothes cost a fraction of the price. Considering that Mia went out of her way a few years ago to explain that Tetua Matoshi's prices were so high because everyone creating the dresses were being paid a livable wage, working healthy hours, and creating items of quality instead of quantity, it's kind of disheartening seeing Mia promote something like this without even acknowledging that the designs are stolen. I even recall that TM made Mia a free dress for her wedding--- imagine receiving something priceless like that from TM and then turning around and making a video to show nearly 5 million people where to get replicas for 80% off? If someone made a video telling the whole of youtube where to get MiaMaplesMarket replicas for cheaper I bet the response would be different--- but because TM's prices are viewed by most to be 'too high', it's okay to go shopping for stolen designs? Come on.

I just wanted point out that if you think these are mostly stolen designs, buying them from those places does hurt the original artist. Look up Kate Gabrielle. She is selling her awesome pink house bc some many people have ripped off her designs and sold them for less money. Her story shows the impact of stealing someone else’s creativity.
Not everyone can afford dress for 1k. And those dresses in video aren't 100% copy. If quality is good, why not to buy cheaper version.
There's also the chance that people watching this video and seeing that the designs are stolen may be discouraged from buying them.

It's a little unfair for people to say "you can't buy cheap things if the aesthetic was stolen". Especially in this case where the dresses are clearly just a similar aesthetic. Mia, if you're tired of the bangs in your eyes, you can always do an Ariel hairdo. When you curl them forward, you need to curl them up after, then they will fall on the side like Ariel's bangs. Then just apply hairspray.

I have ordered a dress from them before! I ordered a yellow, strapless, full length one with a cape for my senior prom back in March. Mine arrived in time from prom in April. One thing she briefly talked about in this video was the custom sizing option on their website. They have custom sizing options, and they have custom designs! For free, you can submit your measurements instead. I really liked that option, and the representative was super quick to respond. It seemed though that they sized up a little bit, so I did have to get it tailored to fit me better. I actually asked for an extra swatch of the tulle fabric (I wanted to cut out the flowers and pin them in my hair), however I did not receive it. Maybe Mia got mine instead 😂. I found 2 flowers that had only been pinned that I guess they forgot to sew on. Not a big deal, just make sure to check. Also my dress was quite heavy because of all of the flower appliqués and tulle. Be warned if you are getting one of the strapless dresses. Overall really love the brand, and I totally recommend! I felt like a princess at prom, and I am so glad I bought the dress!
I watch a lot of sewing tutorials and this one came up a ton on my UA-cam shorts. The dress were fabulous.

As a recent bangs convert, I will say I had the roughest time figuring out how to style them. I finally figured out to straighten them forward like i see you doing, but take it one step further and take the outside pieces that frame your face and give em a lil back curl away from your face. Not too much, just enough that they don’t curl under and against your temple.

Teuta Matoshi will always be the Queen of whimsy and fantasical gowns 👑👑👑 I'm going to pass on this dupe brand -- big turn off was that it's made in china which has the worst labor conditions and wages for skilled workers.

The swatch of fabric would be helpful if you were trying to buy matching shoes or other accessories. You could easily stick that in your purse before you go to the store.
