Your print recipe has me chopping the onion, but nowhere is it put into the recipe! I see from the video that it's added to the marinade. Thanks for another great recipe!
I tried them for the first time! and they were so delicious omg- didn't expect much but just with plain rice...it was a meal I ate continuesly and still do!
I love these eggs. I started cooking Korean recipes just when covid hit. This was one of the very first things I tried to make. Ramen eggs. And then I learned how to make a fried egg, Korean style. Sadly, both were made out of context. I didn’t understand at the time how wonderful they were on certain types of dishes- and of course on their own on top of rice. Ramen eggs are surely one of those delightful “additions” that take an entire meal to a new level. My dilemma now is this. How do you choose between a fried egg and a ramen egg? Surely this is tyranny of choice. God has given us eggs, and they are GOOD. But homemade chilli oil…. Just WOW. To this ill exposed Canadian, the depth and breadth of Korean cuisine has been such a wonderful experience. ❤️🇨🇦
You can add it through your rice, or, what I do to not waste is I marinate another few eggs in it (but make sure to freshen a bit up with adding a little extra soy sauce and water.
I am getting up and making this right now! I’m pretty sure that I have all the ingredients but for 2 and I can substitute them! Oh I’m so excited to try these! Thank you for sharing this! ❤
Sesame oil is optional, it's not really reccomended for the self life to add it though. Chili peppers can be just fine left out but green onion is a big star in the show, which you could still leave out, but I really recommend to try it with green onion.
I just made a small batch to try out tomorrow. I honestly wished I watched more videos on things you can add to your marinade, as I only did soy sauce, water, sesame seeds, chili peppers and honey... Never tried it so it's experimental for now. Haha
putting sesame oil into the marinade will make eggs go bad quicker. pour it over them when you're already eating. without it they xan be kept in the fridge for 3 days.
What I like to do is throw a bunch of random things every time I make marinated eggs to see what tastes good. Yk maybe a shit ton of salt, fish sauce, miso and my personal favorite soju.
What peppers are being used?!? Because living in the American SW, I have all the Mexican peppers you can think of. Would love to dive into trying more Asian hot peppers.
I think you could, just only once. Remember you didn't just put soy sauce, but also water, green onion, and other ingredients that go bad quickly. Adding more eggs for 1 more day should be just fine!
You can keep them in the fridge for up to 5 days! 🤗 (Check out this link for more details~! aaronandclaire.com/mayak-eggs-korean-marinated-eggs-recipe/)

@@angelsweet9611 real! It's truly a lifesaver
I have made marinated eggs recently for the first time and I was like "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?" xD
😆😆😆
Those eggs are a dream! 🤤 I enjoy them over a warm bowl of rice, kimchi and beef ❤
Can't get over how good these are!! My son has them for breakfast with rice and veggies.
Yum!!! Gonna be making this later. 😊
Just made this recipe. Taste great.

Have both!
I just got your book and was a bit confused about the Gyeranjang recipe. I see now that it's the same as Mayak Eggs? They are very tasty! Thanks!
Yes, they are the same! (Gyeranjang is a more formal name and mayak eggs is like its nick name.) Anyways, enjoy! 😁🙌
Anybody else just chilling in the comment section
this is Soooooooo good! you have to try them! ❤️🥚❤️
Love Claire's reactions ☺️
Oooh i make a version of this but the marinade is different. Definitely trying this one. Looks delish!
After using the eggs, what do you do with the leftover sauce? Can you remarinade with it, cook with it? Or should you throw it away?
I add to my rice 😌
You can add it through your rice, or, what I do to not waste is I marinate another few eggs in it (but make sure to freshen a bit up with adding a little extra soy sauce and water.
These are delicious!! 😋
It was life changing just watching.

Delicious!!
Is it ok if I don't use sesame oil, green onion, and chili peppers?

Gonna try this 🤤
that looks yummy! and i love the happy music :)
Can we store it without fridge
Looks amazing! I have to try this
How much time we can store this
It can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days, but I’m pretty sure that you will finish them before that! 😁👍
How long boil time and how long ice bath? Very critical brother you know that
Details are on their website, linked in the video : ) aaronandclaire.com/mayak-eggs-korean-marinated-eggs-recipe
Boiling to own preferance, but usually they do 6-7 minutes and out in ice bath for like 3-5 minutes

Thanks for the quality content as always Aaron and Claire!
The eggs looked so freaking good! I did something similar last night actually haha
I’ve always wanted to make this. I gotta try it! It looks sooooo yummy. Thank you Aaron and Claire!🫶💜
Ooh, definitely will try this 🤤
Should I poke a hole in the eggs so the marinade goes all the way inside?
No. The marinade goes on the eggs after they are peeled.
can you make filipino chicken adobo but with your twist/version
How many minutes to boil the egg to get that?
What kind of soy sauce they used? Sweet, savory or plain?
Just regular soy sauce. (Or light soy sauce if you’re using Chinese soy sauce.)
Can the marinating process be done without putting it in the fridge? Would it last long if it's not in the fridge?
can i skip the sessme seeds and green onions if i don't have them at hand?
Can you reuse the sauce and put more eggs?
Yes, you can reuse the leftover marinade for another batch of eggs. 😍
I made this and they were so salty :c did i do something wrong?
Stuff i omitted:
Green onion
Onion
Red chilli (only had green chilli on hand)
how do you do that the inside of the egg, the yolk is still runny
If you have a pressure cooker, I do 3 minutes on low pressure and fast release then into cold water
i'll give it a try
What peppers are being used?!? Because living in the American SW, I have all the Mexican peppers you can think of. Would love to dive into trying more Asian hot peppers.
You had me at mmmm
Is it possible to not add the chilli?
Sure! But if you still like Spice you could substitute with cayenne or flaked pepper
If this was a daily meal could you reuse the brine by just replacing the ones you ate?
I think you could, just only once. Remember you didn't just put soy sauce, but also water, green onion, and other ingredients that go bad quickly. Adding more eggs for 1 more day should be just fine!
Mine turned out really dark should I have added more water?
That’s alright. No need to worry about! 😊
I add mirin in mine
Good idea, I will try it too!
Music is not loud enough
The soy sauce how to know which one to use? The dark or light one?
Dark one is usually for color, and light one is for all-purpose cooking! 😍
I made this! I ate a lot of rice. 😭 like way too much.
Another rice thief recipe 💕
How long can I store them?
You can keep them in the fridge for up to 5 days! 🤗 (Check out this link for more details~! aaronandclaire.com/mayak-eggs-korean-marinated-eggs-recipe/)
I made these yesterday omg I had to make more because they are all gonna be gone lol
Made these eggs…still living in my moms basement. Not sure if I followed instructions properly.
What is this song?
This was just salty. The whole egg tasted like salt, even the yolk man 😢 I hated it.
nah bruh, you really didn't put something over the eggs so that you wouldn't get that weird white spot on them
What brand of soy sauce should I buy?
I’m using Sempio 701. Highly recommend it! 😁aaronandclaire.com/product-category/pantry-essentials/
Yammy 😋😋😋😋
Can I order 6?
Yum
Nice
Yummy
I ate something very, very similar in Japan. I ate a lot of them. Awesome esp if soft boiled eggs
Looks delicious! How long can you store these eggs?
You can keep them in the fridge for up to 5 days. Check out the details here~! 🙌 aaronandclaire.com/mayak-eggs-korean-marinated-eggs-recipe/
