The best thing about Abe's judo in my opinion is that he throws, a lot and he's active. He just doesn't wait passively. I think that also makes him really dangerous - you don't have the time to think and strategise and try your stuff. It needs to be there if you want to have a chance with him. Some are very active but not that threatening, with Abe you have to be afraid of everything he does. I still hope Gaba won't be a shooting star but returns with great judo and challenges the more established top.
What you call waiting passively isn't. You may not see it but to neutralise the opponent they use massive energy and small techniques. You think they are being passive, they aren't. During the fight against Gaba Abe couldn't produce his explosive judo because he was being neutralised all the same.
Abe is going to be very hard to beat. He could be a 3 time olympic champion, but thats very hard. Eventually someone is going to beat him, he will have a bad day, just like Uta. I hope he picks up the world championships every year now before the olympics. He is my favourite now, always entertaing and positive judo. Incredible skills
It is crazy how better than competition he is but also nice to see how weight is important cause he got really tough match with French player who imho he has won deservedly
There were some moments in the semi final where vieru was winning the gripping. For those who didn't see that match, i recommend watching it if you can. It was probably the only match at this competition where abe was not dominant from start to finish
I find it amusing to note that the french Gaba, who until now had not won any grand slam medals or even gold in a more modest competition, will reach the Olympic final, beat the invincible Abe and self-proclaim his fight as the greatest match in the history of French Judo. I am very curious to see his fights at the World Championships 2025, given that he has already confirmed his presence and his next success.
There was actually a Nomura dojo episode 2 years ago featuring Abe, but maybe this pre-dates what you mention at the start of the video? ua-cam.com/video/NqHTAkDd0hA/v-deo.htmlsi=vTuNWkeu-7S4zpoO Anyway, love your videos! Abe Hifumi has such an exciting style to watch, truly an amazing judoka
I dont think -66 is not the weakest. +100 and -60 is weaker I would say, maybe also 90. I would say -81 and -73 is the strongest. Abe is also more skilled than Bekauri
66 is strongest division. Abe almost won against Olympic silver medalist in one weight division above (it’s official Gaba should have gotten third shido). I would have said 73 is strongest division but after that fight it’s obvious 66 atm is superior
Still pissed about this copyright crap. They should be paying you.
Abe is the most entertaining Judoca to watch nowadays!
I want to see Abe going 73.
Like him or not, he’s already a legend, incredible and beautiful judo.
Always on the offensive.

Abe looked absolutely untouchable. Both in individuals and in teams

Abe has such an attacking and versatile style of judo, he doesn't need a third title to be a legend but that ill cement it.
O melhor do mundo, nos -66. Uma verdadeira lenda no activo
I hope Abe and the entire olympic team participates in the All Japan. It would be an awesome competition if that happened.
Thank for your work the best channel out there

Vieru almost scored with a kosoto. The only time he looked in danger in the Olympics.
Speed is on his side, he's significantly faster than anyone else in his category. When he slows down it will be a different game.
I’m curios what happened. Nomura is a legend and seems like a cool dude.
He has nothing to prove at 66kg anymore, it would be handsome to see him fight at 73 for the next olympic cycle
Isn’t Nomura his uncle?
What an assassin....damn.....scary stuff
also wonder about the thing btw Nomura and Abe
what about the final japan france ?
He was fighting a -73 judoka so doesn’t really matter
I believe that Lombardo at 66 was the only one capable of countering Abe

Remember he was a weight class above
Where did Gaba proclaim his victory in the team event as the greatest match in the history of French judo? Curious to know where you read/saw that
Gaba was a lucky guy fighting in France. The -73 guys waiting for him..
@@fortuna9074 He also made a video with another celebrity of France, in which he's talking about Olympic games and agrees the fact.
Do you think he will go to 73 division?
Gaaba vs abe 2 , they will meet again
Chances are low. They aren"t competing in the same category. I don't think Abe will move up in -73kg.
@@matchoss good point

Yeah I dunno if this was before or after. I just heard there was some beef
They were on tv recently and seemed to be getting along just fine. It looked like Abe still respect Nomura.
Bekauri got Olympic titles back to back as well.
I think 66 being the weakest division in men also makes Abe look more dominant.
You cant compare with Bekauri.Abe 's judo is better by far.
@@JD-ww2ri I was responding to the video about back to back Olympic champions in Paris, the 2nd point is separate.
Oh damn how could I forget!

teddy riner didn't win it 3 comps in a row. only nomura has
I want Abe to try out 73kg before it's too late. He was beating Gaba (should have won) and was fighting fine against a really strong specimen.
Abe had 70kg for the match
