66 is a tournament for silver medal. Nobody is getting through Abe.
(For me silver is between Yondonperenlei, Torne, and Margvelashvili)
An Baul has the Skill and is One with the highest experience at the Olympics
@@lenny.phl_official no chance against Abe though
I don't think Garcia Torne gets through Margvelashvili or Yondonperenlei at such a major tournament.
A non believer…
I agree. The Georgians usually up their performance to the next level for the Olympics.
I agree too. Yondonpereley and Margvelahvilli are so experienced, i dont think Torne is quite there yet. If Shmailov goes with him, i think Shmailov will win. I for one fancy Shmailov for a medal, he had an amazing year and comes out strong with great skill.
This content is excellent, I enjoy your positive vibes and technical details.
Yeah, Abe is winning for sure. I trained at Nittaidai and saw his nage komi, it's a thing of beauty.
5:45 was absolutely textbook. Looks like he's just doing some Uchi-Komi
“So he’s up against Abe Hifumi…”
*do I really have to talk about it*
This is just the content I needed for the upcoming olympics.
I think
🥇 Hifumi Abe 🇯🇵
🥈 Whalide Kyar 🇫🇷
🥉 An Baul 🇰🇷
🥉 Yondonperenlei 🇲🇳
Pick is dificult because -66 is hard category.
But I rooting for my compatriot William Lima
I dont think Khyar is up to the level here, he hasnt had that many high results in the past 2 years in major competitions and this is the top one.
My guy is 🥈 I very proud 💪
Lets go! Waiting for 73s
Hashimoto!
No one really thought that Lima would get silver huh
Abe must be the biggest favourite in the whole tournament. I dont see anybody beating him or even give him a real good fight.
The other medals will be interesting, its open
Great channel, buddy!
you only just found it?
Luukas Saha going to medal at -66 like he did at world championships and get Finland's first olympic medal in judo!
I think that's reaching a bit. Good luck to him though!
Needs massive improvement from the WC. As much as that was a great result for Luukas, he was very lucky in the tournament, too.
@@samil5601 Definitely agree with you. Just being biased as a finnish guy
Some of these so-called Judo throws had never existed at all in the mid 1960s. And furthermore could not be found in any instruction manual of the time.
JOO THX FOR THE AWESOME VID LIKE ALWAYS!!
The Uzbek Judo team is unreal 😮
Turoboyev is gonna take gold in -100kg. Also wishing for Bobonov and Yusupov to have a good performance.
@@reymysterio13__50Turoboyev will be the first olympic champion for Uzbekistan
@@reymysterio13__50Turoboyev is an excellent player and I hope he walks away with Gold!
hey buddy, slow down! I haven't even made those videos yet...
@@JudoHighlights2015 Can’t help it after seeing the opening Uchi Mata!
i don't think vieru is going to make it into the semifinals, the mongolian also not.
you might be right about Vieru, but Yondon is so good
When is Uta Abe going to Judo ?
the same day in -52kg
I know its not really the regular content but would you make a video about your judo? Where you train and medals you've won
Yeah I’ve planned to for a while, just hasn’t happened. THE MEDALS? 😂 I got like 3rd in some random tournament in Japan and that’s about it
@@JudoHighlights2015 you're japanese? Were you born there too?
@@tamirsarfaty1392 no, I've just lived here for a very long time.
Where are you from then@@JudoHighlights2015
I think An Baul will bronze
The only way I see Abe Hifumi losing is by ne waza. He's not the strongest there and that seems to be his only weakness
Wunderbar!!!!
According to the list the IJF posted on their site, Japan has at least 4 different athletes who qualify directly for the Olympics in 66 kg.
I'm interested to see if Hifumi actually does end up moving up to 73, because I've read he's considered doing it for the 2028 Olympics. He's going to have competition from a Tanaka brother either way.
Where did you read that?
@@JudoHighlights2015 hochi.news/articles/20240629-OHT1T51299.html?page=1
A different article indicates he'd want to take time off from competing to build up to 73 kg. That same article indicates his natural weight is around 73-76 kg.
Not related to the video: Do you have any info why several Individual Neutral athletes (i.e. Russians) such as Tasoev, Bashaev, 1 Georgian Zaalishvili, 1 from Angola and Venezuela are "ineligible" for the Paris Olympics ?
No Russian judokas, Russia is banned and while they were able to go around that with this "individual athlete" nonsense in the Olympics you have to have a flag (or be under the refugee banner), so they cant compete. For the others - probably didnt meet the criteria.
Has the draw already been published?
Not yet but we know based on the seeding what the QFs are
@JudoHighlights2015 its a draw, so its a guess of what they would look like 😊
Hifumi Abe gold medal
Yondonferenlei silver medal
Nope
First! 😅🥋
❤❤🎉
Kyrgyzbayev
I may be wrong, but I think Yondonperenlei is not selected, Mongolia is sending someone else (Battogtokh).
No, they went with Yondonperenlei.
Phew
@@aqiria according to French press, Battogtokh will go because he won the continental title and finished 7th at the worlds, and he's ahead on the Olympic ranking list.
@@megatronpasteteque2182 Mongolian Olympic Committee announced his participation through social media.
@@aqiria ok then, makes sense 👍🏻
