@@riotgames what colleges would you say that teaches the animations you guys make? Well for league of legends. Or what animation system do the animators use for league
I love how hilarious and informative this series is. I am just starting my journey, and I'm really learning a lot! Thank you for putting the time in to create this.
@GodCall It's funny you commented because I just restarted my journey last week, and it's going great. Last year, I had no plan, and this year, I came back prepared. I have three simple scenes down unrelated to game dev, just relearning things, and I'm stoked! Gonna start simpler this time around. My vision was too big for a beginner solo dev back then. I appreciate the checkup!
@@lodinsteelheart keep shooting for the stars dude , dont give up to simple stuff , im talking overall , i mean , if you're idea is big it will cover the lack of other aspect ,example: i have huge game idea rly fascinating but now i learned that i need maya software to make my project alive but maya cost alot of moeny!@!! so im gonna use blender to animate lower quality maybe but the idea gonna cover up , anyway keep shooting for the big thing even tho some side parts lacking still if u have great idea it will do , i speak alot holy hell
@@GodCall That's exciting! I definitely won't give up this time. I'm going to pace myself and just enjoy the journey. Let me know when you release your project! Good luck on your journey! Lol, I talk a lot, too. It's all good.
Watched from 1 to 6 . I've finally have my decision, SUBSCRIBED !!! Your videos are awesome! Even I'm not an animator, I learned a lot about this animation stuff. Btw I'm a beginner in digital drawing and I want to make an animation and also a gaaaameee haha step by step hope I can make it
By the way thank you so much for this video series! Its abnormaly helpfull (+ funny way how you do it, like dying animators in this video) ... just THANK YOU
I know it's an old commentary, but something like that happened in Brazil. A guy was being electrocuted in a college campus, but since he was in the Art department, people thought he was acting and started applauding. The guy is fine now.
From experience in game dev i can tell you everything applies to different forms and interpretation in 2D. Riot just picked up what the had at hand which is the material from their games, but every single video applies to 2D in equal measure.
But I only have one question if some character punch another character in a face can I make the other character simulat realistic movement automatically Like using reg doll or something
I want to study something that has to do with animation, concept art, and character design. I prefer the 2D aspect of it, or at least NOT the part where I turn the ideas and characters into video game characters, if you understand what I mean. Video games are not something I care about, thought, so I'm a bit lost. What else can I do? Can anyone please list to me the options I have? And should it be animation that I pursue, or something more specific, does it matter much? Additionally, I'd strongly prefer a BA in London. Are there any good options there? I'm doing research but it's a bit overwhelming. Please help, almighty youtube comment section.
2D animation might be what you are looking for, but it will all depend in the subjects the colleges teach. Try doing a bit of research between the art schools you have around you and look at their curricular subjects. (Mentioned this because in my case i went for 2d animation and most of it was what you described you wanted, but another college near me with 2d animation was having the type of courses that you don't like, so it depends)
I'm working as a tv 2d cartoon animator, went to study 2d Character Animation at VANARTS in Vancouver, though I'm sure there are some lovely places in London. However you don't HAVE to go study to get into the industry if you show your ability to do what they need it's fine. Learning is a lot easier with a teacher tho. You seem to just like drawing as I did, I find that I'm actually super into rigging 3d/ 2d and animation. You could get into storyboarding, layout, animation, revisions, concept drawing, illustration etc. a lot is needed in commercials, magazines, ads, books, cartoons, movies, and games all need artists in different parts of the process. Do some investigation and look into what makes you feel would be the best fit for you. Goodluck!
i dont know if its like useful info now because it was 1 year ago but its a straight up no if you want to be better take only 1 and get good at it it doesnot mean you cant even learn basis of other 2 but get good at 1 and go on with that you cant do all together its like a game and modeler and rigger and animator are 3 types of player in a role it doesnot mean you can learn other roles too but only basis after you learn ur primary role
It's not stop motion but I get it. I guess that's the only way to animate something. Like he said, to animate you must do a lot of different poses, so.. yeah, "stop motion" haha
Pls change the walking animation of Fiora ... because before a week ago I had this feeling that you changed it, she now walks so stiff only with enough movementspeed it looks normal ... So pls change (back)
Imagine walking into an animation office and people are constantly acting out random motions and then suddenly stop and sit down
The next time I go to an animation office, I'll make sure to grab myself a bag of popcorn
@@knightingirl dont forget the camera
This is literally exactly what I do when animating lmao

Are LoL characters animated with stopmotion or is there other method (that wasn’t showed here)?
It's not stop motion but I get it. I guess that's the only way to animate something. Like he said, to animate you must do a lot of different poses, so.. yeah, "stop motion" haha
In Disney the animators had Mirrors so that they could act out things like facial expressions and mouth placement when talking.
The lol champions are animated without stop motion they are animated by hand in 3ds max
@Vivim idk but I have watched a video on the last illaoi skin animation and they used 3ds max that's it

Shadow of the Colossus but like an updated version I think
