    I still want something to directly challenge the mosin in the 3-7 range, I’d either drop the 6.5 down to that class range or add a new rifle similar to a 25-06 or high power 6mm

    The developers need to completely rework, re balance the entire weapon system from the ground up. a 22-250 is a varmint caliber, so it needs to be for 1-3 game... or even 1-4.
    Anyone who owns and hunts with a 22-250 will tell you its not only good for long distance ground-hog varminting, but its the golden ticket for coyotes. Here in the South, hunters even use it for hogs and white tails.

    I’ve used the 22-250 and 223 in real life and the 22-250 hits a lot harder then the 223 especially on things like kangaroos, the 22-250 has a bigger casing then the 223 so more powder behind the same size projectile gives it alot more punch

    The terminal ballistics of most guns needs reworked. Every time I've taken a good look at the lower caliber weapons, and compared them to the real world, it's depressing. I have to wonder if the any of the devs have ever shot game with less than a 308, or consulted anyone who has

    • @Flintergaming
      @Flintergaming  Рік тому +7

      It’s just tough to make guns notably more powerful than others in a game. You’re absolutely correct tho, it’s not a good representation of real life

    • @madwe2269
      @madwe2269 Рік тому

      @@Flintergaming I get that. I think the best thing they could do is make weapons that cover similar classes, and are similar in the real world (270 and 308 for example) nearly identical in power, but maybe give the 308 an edge in penetration (heavier bullets in a 308 typically) and the 270 better trajectory and wind drift. This is just for two weapons obviously, but it would make a lot more guns viable. The 308 is still going to be better most of the time, but if you hit an elk in the lungs with a 270, you shouldn't be tracking it for 300m. Right now it makes it infuriating to use anything but the biggest gun you can shoot a given animal with. Its why the 223 and 270 are dead, but the 243 and 7mm aren't.

    IRL the 22-250 is FAR more powerful than a typical 223 or 5.56. Its a 40-55 grain bullet with a lot of powder behind it. The typical .223 is also 55 grain bullet, but has much less powder in the case, and is the slower, less powerful of the two. Velocity kills. So, Flinter, I don't know why you are surprised or find that interesting. It's well- known fact.
    The developers need to completely rework, re balance the entire weapon system from the ground up. A 22-250 is a varmint caliber, so it needs to be for 1-3 game... or even 1-4.

    I use Soft Points on lower class rifles more than Polymer tips. Are the soft points viable on the .22-250? I know the .223 soft points are 10 Penetration and 12 Expansion, and with the .22-250's polymer tips being 25 penetration and the .223 being 20 penetration, I expect the .22-250 soft points to be something like 13-15 or 14-14 Penetration-Expansion, which would make me use the .22-250 soft points over both the .223 polymer tips and and .243 soft points for class 2-4 animals.

    Hey Flinter, good hunt. The flip over on the kangaroos when shot is pretty funny
    I don't want to sound negative but I really don't like the look of the new harvest screen text. Having to click on the shot to get drop down information on a shot is ridiculous, it's not as if the screen doesn't have enough room to show all the text like it did before. which is what is the biggest difficulty for me. I don't have good vision and the smaller and tighter together that ew makes the text lines and the print the harder it is for me to clearly read it. I guess they are trying for a cleaner screen look but it is really just making it harder for some of us players to enjoy the game progress with the status of the harvest screen. I know this doesn't have much to do with you but if they ever ask for you feedback. Thank you for the best content.

    I dont get it, what this rifle serves for ? While we have .243 and .223. I mean they buffed the expansion stat of .223 and this weapon told to be more "penetration heavy" . Sooo ? Is just that ?
    I was realy expecting a new/revolutionist weapon like 1-3 or 2-5. Just another 2-4 ?
    Also, imo they should drop .270 to 2-6 and drop 6.5mm to 3-7 classes. So much 4-8 stacked on top each other, it's boring we need more mid-game rifles imo.
    Also every real life hunter says that 22-250 more powerful and has bigger casin/shelll than .223 . So why it's 2-4 ? İmo they should've drop .223 to 1-3 class (unique one) and bring new 22-250 for 2-5.

      It totally depends on the load like I said in the video. But I’m not aware of any .22-250s that are necked down from a .308 case. 250 savage was the creation of it and thus the name, but that would be a huge diameter change! The name of the gun being “Varminter” led me to believe they want it to be a lighter load for things like coyotes and such. That said, it can make perfect sense for it to work like you described as well! Just the .223 was supposed to get a buff, so I thought they wanted it to be more of a “deer load” if that makes sense 😁
