I don't know if kangaroos naturally sleep in the "draw me like one of your french girls pose" but between that and the kicking animations they're hilarious in this game.
Roos do sleep that way lol ... we generally dont shoot laying down we whistle them up for a chest hit

19:30 on the last livestream, Jaxy confirmed that gators can no longer disappear, if you shoot one in deep water, they still float up and to you. I would assume crocs are the same

The way the kangaroos look make me question where they looked to get their models as the kangaroos we shoot on my farm tend to stand taller and less wide. They should also be class 3 as a 22.250 at 150 to the chest drops most bucks within 20m. Also the kangaroos don't call out they grunt or puff I have never in my life hear a kangaroo yelp or bark.the roos are also way faster in real life I have raced after some at 30km/hr.
we should've gotten dingoes with australia. that would be CRAZY

Man I just got this game a few days ago, I'm still learning the ropes. I bought the tents, tripods and stands, a couple weapon packs the silver ridge map an atvs. All the maps look cool. Thanks for showcasing this. I haven't run into any predators yet, seeing those crocs attack was neat. I figured it would be much more violent.
Taken a long break from this game just because alot of the animals dont interest me, apart bears. I know, weird But being aussie this has really peaked my interest. Ill definitely get lost in the sauce in this map and animals.

If u didn’t know, so basically I live in Australia and kangaroos are freaking everywhere. at the beach at the bush lands and meadows and plains they are everywhere.
In Aus the 22/250 is primarily used by professional roo shooters and they only shoot the the head.
It can be used on fox’s but the problem with the flat shooting bullet, too much wind or a blade of grass will put it off target.
I recently got my diamond saltwater croc up in the river very north of the map. FREAKING HUGE
Honestly I’m still just waiting for the devs to READD the feature they removed with a buggy patch, being able to close the map menu when clicking the same keybinding like M or X, instead of exclusively Escape. So frustrating because they had it finally, but a patch broke it again and it has been a looong time with no fix.
Your first interactions with the ‘roos is very realistic just where I hunt them you can’t get that close because they are used to being shot. I shoot them at 300-450 metres with a .223

In The top of Australia you Normally find them near the edge of the Rivers on the sandbar

I've been wanting platform customization for years. Nothing too big, just the ability to change the foliage to match the biome we got the trophies in. Though being able to customize the foliage lay out ourselves would be a nice dream. The default Layton Lakes foliage gets old pretty fast. The croc coming out of the ground is a hopeful sign we might see that in the near future.
The old ps2 hunting games you could do that I see no reason why they can’t do that now

Holy molly. I CANNOT wait. It is so good to see these remodels and new textures with old animals, specially red deer and axis. They look AMAZING. Finally, a map with jungles! I already can see myself spending hours and hours on a tree stand waiting for deer lol. Amazing video!
Wild boars really need a remake
I was worried about the damage from the crocodiles after Jaxy’s stream. A crocodile shouldn’t do a similar amount of damage as a kangaroo (or capercaillie).

Yesterday I spooked a mythical roo from about 150m. Watched it turn aggressive and slowly hop over to me for 20 seconds while I watched it through my scope. Once it was close enough I pulled out the 10mm glock and blasted him twice. Funniest thing I’ve ever done in COTW. They’re such goofy animals and I love it.

I got my first diamond animals which was a kangaroo and diamond croc and leucistic croc as well 🎉

The only miss I’ve seen so far is no water buffalo. They would’ve made this map perfect
Ive hunted stubble quail alot in my life, they are tiny, they will literally fit in the palm of your hand. I'm super happy they are in the game, the only thing that's a little different is in real life, they stay low, and flush fast flying low to the ground, and usually curving to one side. but all things considered they did a good job with them.

The thing that got me hyped the first time playing was getting attacked by a lion. Haven't been attacked ever since and I feel like they lowered animal aggression.. sadly

Let's go I can finally hunt the with the 30-06 but the two main questions is how close can you can get to it with the bow and can tree stands be put up in the new map
The only thing I feel this map let down on is something that's a problem with base game too. The 22-250 has no purpose. The 243 is marginally more powerful, and there is a semi auto 223. They're trying to play these guns as double duty deer and varmint rifles, but there's no point in using them on anything not class 2 or 3. The 308, 30-06, and 7mm are the only weapons worth using on class 4 animals, because they all drop game in its place on shots the 243 gets single lung on. The 243 is only ever in any loadout because it drops class 2-3 animals when the 223 gets single lung. I'm not saying all these weapons need to all be the exact same power level, but irl a coyote shot with a 223 and 243 in the same place is likely going to react almost the same. A deer shot in the lungs with a 243 in my experience runs just as far as one shot with a 270 or 308. I get game balance, but it's not even balanced, there's only 8 weapons ever worth using on anything ever.

When comparing the class 3 weapons, don't forget the mosin. It's still my go-to when hunting lots of class 3 animals!
the only reason I didnt include it here was that it isnt ethical for class 2s like the others :D And also blows them out of the water for class 3s ngl xD It *does* still have some weird accuracy issues on occasion tho! If they ever fix that... I might carry it way more!

@@harmonybeasley3640I wouldn’t recommend using the 223 docent at all, it’s an extremely incapable rifle. If you really want to use it then your best bet Is using the Ar-15 223

I like the Roos, but i do think they look a little puffy in the chest and stomach area. Other than that i can't wait to play it!!

I don't know if it would actually make a difference, but when you're making your thumbnails, you put a red border around the entire thumbnail, and it makes it look like I've already watched the whole video. I almost didn't click this because I thought I'd already watched it, but then I realized I hadn't. I hope that makes sense. It would be a nice thing to adjust, might help with views.

@@Flintergaming If orange just make sure it's like pretty light, although orange might also clash with the backgrounds for a lot of thumbnails since a lot of it can be like dry grass. I'm not sure what color would be best, or maybe no border at all! I think your thumbnails would look great without the border and just how you already set them up. The 250 is far too quiet in comparison to the irl sound. I know they can't make it exact but it should be similar to that of the 300

22-250 is a great gun in real life. Shoots flat at long distances and isnt affected as much by wind being a smaller projectile. Still packs plenty of punch to knock down roo's, deer and pig depending on what grain of bullet you use
It's horribly affected by wind when using the traditional flat base soft point varmint bullets. The normal weight 45-55 gr bullets have relatively abysmal ballistic coefficients and they slow down very fast. The wind drift further down range is horrible. My bro in law has one and we'll have to stick with 55 ballistic tips or 53 hpbt to keep it stable in a factory slow twist barrel.
Load it in a fast twist 1:9 with 65-77 gr otms or match bullets, it's a different can of beans and very very capable.

The roo kick is very much not representative of real life. The kick irl will gut you. They have huge claws and power. And yes they do sleep like that and there are that many
