Your vids give me more of a reason to buy a Jeep SRT. Ive seen the maintenance vid, love/hate vids...atp i dont have a question. Im just gonna buy the Jeep. Keep up the good work. Im going to continue to watch. 👏happy holidays
I live in Maine so this crushed any fear I had of getting a 2012-13 Jeep SRT as a Daily to replace my 2011 Kia Sportage thank you for actually driving in the snow every other video I've seen is people driving in normal weather so this helped a crap ton
Thanks for posting this video Josh. It helped me with the only worry I had about owning an SRT. But if it can handle I-70 in that condition, then roaming around the Springs will be a cake walk
I’m a truck driver and I know the feeling about I70. I drove from Salt Lake City Ut. to Fruita Co. Towing 25,000 lbs. in that storm. I enjoy your vids.
Great video ! I’ve drove into Denver many times in my old 2014 Jeep Wrangler while heavy snow fall, but now that I just got my Srt I was curious on how it did in the snow ! Definitely gave me a better idea 👌🏽
For a long time, I've been trying to figure out who it is you always remind me of every time I watch one of your videos... just figured it out, another YT person.. it's Paul from Ice Poseidon. Anyways, love the content.. keep 'em coming!!
Reason why I subscribed to this channel is because is way different then the rest of the other guys with SRT channels. Rather then trying to upgrade the engine to be the fastest out there you go out and play with it off-road like jeeps are meant to be played with. I would like to see how well it does in the mud
Recently snagged a '18 SRT and it's her first winter here in the Mid-West and as of the date of this post, we have a severe winter storm headed our way in 2 days so I was a bit worried about its performance in snow. I previously had a GC Summit and it was good in snow, had all the different drive modes, etc. I feel a bit better knowing the SRT can handle it.
@@SRTMillan So am I. I just put it in snow mode to reduce throttle response and it did well. A slip here and there but I handled well enough. Didn't get stuck anywhere. Had to go out once during the peak of the storm but she felt pretty confident during the errand run.
My 2015 on Toyo GSi-5 winter tires. The boys here drop down from the stock 295’s to 265’s in the winter where my Jeep is a machine. Fort McMurray Alberta to British Columbia absolutely unit. You NEED winter tires all weather/ all season are fucking JUNK. I drive my Jeep hard in the heavy snow and never ever ever felt unsafe.
Well....I've been wanting a jeep for quite awhile now. Wasn't sure if I really wanted or needed a srt or not....but after watching your videos I think I'm going with it
I had a 2014 overland and has a better ground clearance than the srt! We got stuck on a frozen like with 1.5 ft of frozen snow! I even used the air suspension max raised setting but we bottomed out. If it was powder we could have plowed through though.
I owned and daily drove an '09 Jeep SRT living near Vail, for 2 years. My drive to work was 45 minutes on a clear day. I slapped snow tires on my Jeep, and it was a fucking beast in the snow. I also lived at 11k+, so there was ALWAYS snow on the ground near my house. With a great set of snow tires, I never once had an issue and I drove 60mph+ on I70, to pass the fucking morons that couldn't figure out how to get their cars ready for snow season. I fucking loved that truck.
Hey man just bought a 2018 srt has performance all season tires and it was my time drivin it for the first time and it was so damn slick and scary man. What kinda tires do you recommend
Pirelli makes a snow/ice tire. There are little to no options for the factory tire size. I drive in snow mode with traction control off. Very gentle on the steering, gas and brake.
Thanks for this video. I moved to Denver a few yrs ago and bought a 550ix but now I’m bored as it’s my 3rd 5series and I want to try a Jeep srt. I drive i70 everyday and it scares me a little especially in snow. That being said I need something to handle it. If you still have this do you still recommend?
This is literally the video I was looking for, I’m in Chicago right now and I’m deciding what car/suv to get for the snow and I’m looking at a 2014 SRT for 34K with 79K miles or a Chrysler 300s AWD for 22K with 32K miles but I want a V8 so bad
What I don't get is how you are driving with one or no hands while proclaiming how scared you are. Driving in the snow is not hard, you just have to use the right speed for the conditions and commit to it. Trust me I know. I'm Canadian EH. We drive in worse snow than that all the time and not just up a mountain.
Von Wagner When did I say plenty is majority? You admitted your previous comment was an oversimplification but you still stand by it. You have no problem with generalizing a group of people. That’s not good.
Von Wagner According to the dictionary it does make it less true. You’re really assuming Americans are ignorant about driving in the winter because of a few videos on the internet. Are you serious?
The Jeep GC is one good looking SUV, especially the SRT. Just wondering if it's an American thing to drive in such poor visibility conditions with headlights and taillights switched off as I note most of the other road users in the video doing just that?
Hey I respect you man you got BALLS taking your own 70+ thousand dollar SRT and doing the shit that you do I subscribed. I want you to put some trailhawk tires on the jeep so you can really go offroad the tires that come stock on this is not meant for offroad i use to work for jeep so I know these things.
when you have seen the accidents that I have you'd be nervous also. its not me that Im worried about. its the other drivers and the 80,000 pound semis that don't have chains on. And the 6% grades. Thanks for the support!
Not being critical here. But your SRT is not 6500 pounds. Not unless you have 1200 pounds of sand in the back. Your curb weight is closer to 5200 give or take. To fully disable ALL the traction control features, press AND HOLD the traction control button for at least five seconds.
Your buddy at Walt's Tires just told me to check out your channel, and I'm definitely a fan. I hate Driving my GCSRT in the snow, I was anxious just watching. We have a big SRT group here in Denver if you're interested.
Good video but just a note don’t keep complaining the entire video on how nervous you are when you chose to do this. If you are that nervous then you should t have done this in the first place.
just giving my subscribers what they were asking for. And i was more nervous about the semi trucks not being able to stop behind me than anything else. only a fool is okay with driving I-70 in the snow like that lol. thanks for the comment and support!

in terms of minutes, how far away was the snow portion of your video from the dry area where you filmed your closing remarks?
10 minutes, maybe 15. thats Colorado for ya
My 2018 jeep srt is worth every penny. Awesome truck !
i love mine also!
So down in Colorado Springs I should be fine? Lol looking into maybe getting one but I don’t wanna slide all over .
Nice one ☝️

Nice srt man was planning to get one the price tag is crazy tho.. I have a 14 altitude package
On auto the power splits 60/40 so had you done it on auto with traction control off you would of got some nice spins rooks

I drove mine in snow last year. And I'm going to have to sell my hellcat to get another SRTGC because the Kitty and snow don't go together.
Oh you could just trade your SRT Jeep and ya Hellcat and get a TrackHawk.
I own a 2018 Jeep SRT and live in MN. With regular tires, it's like driving on bars of soap. I bought some Blizzak winter tires. WAY WAY better.
I'm about to try out the snow mode in my SRT8 Dallas Texas

Going through the mountains is another story trust me. It’s AWD
Never had the chance to drive thru mountains but I am not a big fan of AWD after owning a 4WD. Wish they made a sporty 4WD lol

I had a supercharged altitude and I drove it year round on 22’s with cheapo tires lol. Thing was like a tank.
it basically is
5.7? How much power was that? Any issues?
What kind of snow tires do you put on your jeep?
I just run all seasons and let the AWD do the rest

Once you get 2k subs you better get a mopar hat already lol !
