This video is as amazing as watching you squat 300 kg, or 270 for fahvs.
I love the stories, the process, the things you went through, the things you would've done, or wouldn't have done.

You describing the nervousness before going for a big goal like that is so accurate. I've been lifting for 9+ years but only recently (last 2-3 years) been taking it seriously. My first time going for a 2x bodyweight deadlift it's this weird feeling where you have so much self doubt but then you're also trying to counter it with self belief.
Also the latter part of the video talking about technique adjustments is great, as they are almost the exact same problems I have with squatting (losing back position, flaring elbows and even the hip flexor!) so going to try and implement them this week. Great video.

I'm by no means an accomplished lifter. But I've controlled wrist and forearm pain from squatting by adjusting my grip to a thumb over, such that the bar draws a line between the base of my pinky and the meaty part of my palm below the thumb. That being said, my form is much more of a "low bar" squat, and my numbers are not nearly as impressive. Good work man!

Can i ask for thought, recently in attempt to strengthen my glass back, I've started to do good mornings and hold for time at the bottom, and also start front squats and hold at the bottom(mostly). really trying to emphasise that thoracic extension and contraction right down the back.. trying to gauge an appropriate time under tention target as i go before moving up a weight. Do you see any merrit to this kind of approach?

That is going up as I'm recovering from knee surgery and gaining upper body mass and regaining lowerbody mass. So hoping I'll be able to hit 170 within 2 years.
