waa man it's so sad cause was nearly impossible to imagine ending up with a better deck in arena day 2 and did not worked out anyway. GL for the next one
Please correct me if I'm wrong (and I probably am) The weird doesn't seem so great. Running two of them seems kind of much. You don't have any way to abuse them with devotion, not to mention they can lead some pretty rough blowouts if they get removed after you've dumped mana into them. I also think a one of dragon style twins wouldn't have been bad. That thing with a dragon's mantle on it can be very scary. But once again please correct me if I am wrong.
weird's stats on 17lands is pretty high. 59%, thats gotta be good enough for a mono red deck. dragons style twins just 49% pretty bad stats. obviously stats aren't everything. and i like the dragon twins. could have been good in this deck but a 5 mana creature, no immediate effect, dies to draconic roar. not great.
@thelifedragon2156 can you make very valid points. You're right stats aren't everything, with that said 17 lands is usually a pretty good indicator of how well a card does. Thank you for the interaction
Killing Wyvern is the first priority with it adding 5 power and 6 toughness to their board total, and the Wild Slash doesn't kill Wyvern. Having a 4 power creature just makes it so damage can't be prevented that turn, so Wild Slash can help to get through protection but still can't kill anything with more than 2 toughness by itself.
p2p2, i duno, i think the warhound is really good, its just a cheap efficient bestow card. i find the "must attack" clause to not be much of a downside. if the creature dies, a 2/2 must attack isn't great but in an aggro red deck, i dont think thats much of a problem. you gonna find ways to push that 2/2 in or make use of it. i think its a pretty close choice. maybe im wrong. *pulls up 17lands*. ok (17lands harpooner 57%, warhound 55% In hand, 56% opening hand) harpooner has the edge, but sticking with red might be make it fairly even. i think the Chandra was the right pick. super tough call though. but hey it worked out big time, this deck is sick. --------- 32:49 op didn't realize the interaction between wild slash's "cant" keyword and "protection". no reason not to sac the bird in response. op just straight up made a mistake. if they did sac the bird, you could wild slash your own 3/3 in response, its a two for one but at least you can deal with the aristacat that way. but it will just come back from the whip. no way to win i think. ------ shame you didnt quite make it. thoese were some unlucky games, you basically just lost both matches to bad draws.
Not playing 3 crusader was a mistake in my opinion, with all the way you had to target them you could have had a super fast 1-2-3 start very often , what do you think
problem is drawing them late game is crap, by the way the first match I would have add the third one in the second game since it feels he needed the best start to win that match up
If you have a power 4 or greater creature on board Wild Slash makes it so damage can't be prevented this turn, shutting off protection's ability to prevent damage.
P3p5 you didnt mention there was another crusader in the pack and just pick weird over dragonstyle twins. I think a third crusader with 3 witchmark would be super insane
Gg, nice run. Love the editing for time and the commentary. Arena shuffler is cursed.
That's absolutely insane in the end...
Great run Gomlet, deck worked great, just got beat by the arena shuffler :(

ouff that game one in the final flood felt painful man!
Cool deck!
why is the shuffler like this?
29:05 why not wild slash here? U made the 4 power creature

@GomletX yeah mb for some reason i was thinking wild slash dealt 4 damage woth ferocious. Guess i just wanted it to be the best removal in history 🤪
I would like to see statisics! how much/many payed in and how money get payed out!

Even if they did sac the Spirit, he could have Slash'ed face, no need to do it on his own creature, couldn't he?
@@mrknarf4438 yup, you are right. i forgot it can hit face
is even allowed to play mono red on those money events ?
So close! I blew match two of draft two on a misplay where I was momentarily confused and played too fast. Need to work on the old stamina.
That's rough. Better luck to us both next time!
@GomletXL it's a privilege to make day two. I'm happy I drafted well
Wow, I can’t believe mono-red is this open. Wish I could be in ur pod, we could have split these awesome red cards 😜 tough beats.
You had the game when you got ChannelFireball to 1 life and they came back with lifelink. You were supposed to embalm your Heart-Piercer Manricore
You can't embalm a creature out of exile and Ob Nixilis' Cruelty exiled it.
You forgot to add spells to your mono mountain deck
Well played. Unlucky.

how did the aristocrat with pro red die to a red creature...?
If you have a power 4 or greater creature on board Wild Slash makes it so damage can't be prevented this turn, shutting off protection's ability to prevent damage.
@GomletX ohhh of course that's my mistake I read the card as wild slashes damage can't be prevented not all.
Wait, you only draft with people outside the event or play against them too?
You draft with everybody, play against only people in the event.
@GomletXL ah, I get it now, thanks dude
GGs!
Wow cutting crusaders and witchmark stocked me. I would have played 14 lands without chandra and cut a ranger
Heart breaking
Arena Shuffler is Garbage.
Great Draft, Great Deck
Keep Going man 💪😎❗
You look like Quentin Tarantino
Feels rigged man, your deck was insane.
4:40 you tend to use pleonasms like "pretty excelent" quite often.
Entertaining games and high tier gameplay as always ;)

Hahaha nvm you wheeled it
Need to spend more cash to smooth the drawing mechanic.
What?!?
Play red, get ded. Worst color in Magic in my opinion.
U re wrong
