I still remember the ordeal that was to find a vocalist after Mike left for the second time, then Nick was announced and people were like hmmm, can he still growl? look at him now, 100% consistent, menacing, and completely badass, not to mention the band has kept releasing superb music with him.
I remember, even some "old true metalheads" wondering who was Nick. Nick is a living legend!
They have a faaar superior vocalist on the guitars, i simply can't get into Nicks vocals for Bloodbath.
I'll admit he sounds better than I thought he'd be but definitley can't reproduce Tagtgren's higher growls, intonations and power but again, not many can
@@blindguardian1979Mikael couldn't either, they are different people, and Peter's range is insane, by any standard.
@@blindguardian1979 Exactly, almost an impossible task. Early Opeth were the masters of Death metal, I'll die on that hill. Can't be mad about the direction they went cause it was his choice, and NO bands have as many consistently great albums, up until Damnation I would say.

Old Nick definitely found the cheat code for Death vocals. He projects his voice harder talking to the crowd. Such a laid back minimalist vocal style But still sounds menacing as Hell
You do know he uses a pedal right?

I must say, this is one of the most flawless extreme metal performances ever record.
Everyone sounds fantastic, and Nick makes his growls look effortless.

When nick first came on board I had my doubts, but his voice has really grown on me and it suits BB even more than MA

Love this selection of songs. Seems slightly slowed down, does it not? They sound great though.
Bloodbath, along with Carcass and Dying Fetus are my favourite death metal bands. Got to see them with Nick in London a few years ago with Aborted.
