I think those pressure gauges you found in the race car trailer, that's for setting the tires on the track.. they need to know the barometric pressure, humidity and track temp when they got there and there wasn't 'weather bug' back then.. NEAT!

Most of that stuff has sat outside for 40yrs. Id be very surprised if it ever rotated again much less ran. Its all cool none the less though

One of the neater videos I’ve watched that isn’t somebody’s normal form of content Really neat seeing some of this stuff that was around before I or maybe even my parents were a thought in some peoples heads. Probably still enough hidden gems sitting around on that farm to make up for “scrap” price.
This could be a watershed moment for the channel. Personally, I’d rather watch a will-it-run on a 27 on 32 rails or a Hillborn restoration than a brake job on a 65 Oldsmobile.
Not too many guys are doing pre-war content because they don’t have your stockpile or knowledge of it.
I’d love to learn more about the Model B engines. I heard they were stronger than the A and that’s why the hot rodders wanted them. Who knows. I could be wrong. Don’t know. But I Think it’s an opportunity for you. Even if it’s strictly second channel fodder.

Your mentioning of Proto tools a few times makes me smile! Living not far from where some of the originals were produced (Jamestown, NY) has allowed me to collect many of their items. My favorite is a 4" adjustable wrench/Swedish knut lathe which was gifted to me by an old friend who retired from Proto. Great stuff as always!

Those trailer brakes are called surge brakes, as you brake the trailer surges forward applying the brake. real common in the 70s and 80s when you had to plumb trailer brake controller into the brake system. they can be good if properly maintained. You got some really nice stuff at that sale, love to see the riley motor in something.
That hitch on the sprint car trailer originally was used on a boat trailer,my Dad had an early 70's 17 foot fiberglass trihull boat that had a hitch like that on the trailer!

Something ride she looks like she will start fairly easily damb if I was a little younger without the cancer, COPD++++ old Navy Vet if I could get lucky and win a lottery or drawing from a UA-cam channel mam oh man almost totally complete even the clutch seems to be working even if was a loaner somehow so as to do a parade or car show with that'd be cool anyway im rambling and my chances of that happening before the Good Lord pulls my draft card Lol can't wait to see what all ya end up with in that haul maybe hearing a couple old babs run if nothing else you've plenty of content for the next while even if you don't get any other prodject like that's gonna happen anyway thanks remember always be safe healthy and happy God Bless 🤠

A friend of my dad used to drive a Sprint car. And the last action that he had The Thing rolled 13 times and almost killed him. He said no more and quit but got it on the film in rolling. He fairly touched the other guys we're in, and that's what threw him off and Rowling. But great job unloaded that stuff. Man. I think that's pretty cool.

That "Cyclone" adapter was a big help in the "50's and " 60's. The 3 speed gearing and shifting of the Chevrolet transmission was horrible to say the least. Putting the Ford was a bug help although expensive in the day. The cry of "I had him 'til he shifted" was very common.

I have been a subscriber for a while now, love your videos and your sense of humor. I am 67, and for a relatively young guy, you really have an extensive knowledge of old parts. Wondering when you are going to get to that '59 Ford Galaxy that you can see off to the side behind your shop. I would really like to see what you have planned for that. When are we FINALLY going to see a video on that '63 Impala that has been up on your lift for what seems like forever. Also, bought a couple Mortske t-shirts as Christmas presents last year. My wife had no idea who you were, but my brother did. ( No, I did not give my wife a Mortske t-shirt for Christmas, been married 34 years, would like to make it to 35.)

Used these Hav-A-Hart traps when I was a kid. A lot easier than hunting the vermin down! Once they were in the trap, just shot them with a .22 and buried them in the garden
