Abandoned Six Wheeled Skidsteer! Sitting for 15 Years! Will It Run?!?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 24 вер 2024
- The local museum has had this 1213 Bobcat "Feller Buncher" skidsteer in their posession for 15 years. With the collapse of the roof on the building it was stored in this winter, it needs to be moved to a new home for the time being. Lets see if we can get it to run once again. This machine is not for sale. As always, thanks for watching!

Way too much talking skip through about 3/4 of your program
I’ll let my faithful subscribers respond to your comment. Congratulations on being chosen as our very special commenter! Let Brian know what he’s won!
Yeah he's a talker...
That’s why I’m here. Mortske’s a wealth of knowledge and fun to listen to. I know, I’m biased but it’s because my attention span is larger than most. It’s a generational thing.
@brianmiller763. The history, knowledge, and talking through his actions are why I watch Mortske.
Brian, you just won a great big scheisse sandwich for the dumbest comment ever. Congrats!
This is a Swedish invention! Everyone who watch this video, with the Bobcat fellerbuncher 1213, should know this!! This is a Swedish invention, wich begans in the early 1980:s. Maybe 1982-1983 or something. I say this because I really know it!! I was an employee at the Swedish dealer for Bobcat, Lastor AB, in Sweden, up to 1990. I have been working severly years for introducing Bobcat in Sweden, from the middle of 1970:s. I'am very proud of this. It was as a really hard work to convince machineowners, farmers etc, that a Bobcat would be grateful for their business. But i'm driving my old Bobcat 443 to help my costumers, it stills works fantatic, and at my age of 70+. This invention, on the six wheeld Bobcat, started with one of our boss for the comnpay in Sweden, who was traveling over to USA, to visit the Bobcat Company in North Dakota. He found out that in USA , they use the concept with fellerbuncher. But with bigger machines. Why not with a Bobcat? Ok, back in Sweden , he gave the order to create a sixwheeled Bobcat, and in that time based on a Bobcat 743. The front axle with a boogie drived, by a chaincase and the rear axle was also put backwards, with a chaincase, and a pendulumarm to put the rear axleheigth, up and down. I have seen this sixwheeld Bobcat, built in Sweden with my own eyes, unfortunately , I have no picture and can not prove it, but I have it in my mind. This is a Swedish invention by the Swedish dealer for Bobcat, Lastor AB. Furthermore the Bobcat Company in USA did accept the id'e and start to produce it. It was in 1985-1986. The Swedish dealer, Lastor AB, imported the Bobcat 1213 fellerbuncher, around 1987, i think. I have seen it, with my own eyes. Bobcat Company in USA , did base the Bobcat 1213, on Bobcat 843 wih an Isuzu 4-cyl engine. I'm a big fan of Bobcat. I've been living with Bobcat since the middle of 1970:s and still doing it, in my age of 70+, and will do it to my end of life. Magnus Ericson, Sweden
Careful, Ole' Matt From Diesel Creek might get jealous of this rig.
For community service action above and beyond the call of duty, Mortske receives a field Commission to Major.
Duff Dog remains the soul carrying the everyday battle.
Love the Duff!
Wouldn’t it be nice if more communities had a Mortske they could lean on! Good job! 💪👊🙏👍
North Dakotans are born survivors..handed down by the Scandanavians who were the only ones brave enough to settle there. Community is how you survive.
Thanks for your time was fun 😊
This episode is a prime example of why I like your channel. You went over to a museum to help them out with the very cool little Bobcat because you are a nice guy. That rocks big guy. Keep it up and you'll get a cool service truck just like Muffin's rig in no time.
🤘😁👍
Thanks for that!
My hats off to you for not only donating your time but filming it for us I’ve never saw a 6 wheel bob cat
OappalqlqllL?.?LYG?L3E1111
It's so cool to see a guy helping out the community for the greater good, more of us should!
If he’d only quit bumping his gums and actually do something. He thinks he’s a comedian, but he better not quit his day job.
@@alk5749 aww, you really do need a hug don't you?
I feel a pinned comment coming up… 🤣
@@wubber2chc Best I could do...
If people like Mortske ,mojo and other guys dont help out pass on their knowledge in years to come itll be videos on changeing your extension cord plug for you latest hoover electric car,, nowledge is power passing it on and helping others is more powerful
Glad you volunteered your time!
Don't get your feller caught in the buncher no matter what.😊
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Glad to see stuff getting fixed up at the museum. What a mess that was. Good on you for helping out. And thanks again for bringing is along.
Thanks for the Memorial Day video! Community service, nothing sez being a good neighbor more then that! Thank You!
I really do admire how you help out in your community. A lot of people just move on when they become great big super stars, but it’s great to see you staying humble.
Well said!
Hey Mortske great you got the Bobcat going for the Museum. Your a great guy. Still assisting after the Severe Weather. Thanks for sharing. ❤️👊👍
I'm glad i'm not the only one that "Nerds Out" on old farm crap. Good stuff!
haha
The directors of the museum knew that if anyone could get it running it would be you! Nice job! 😁👍
Thanks for the video Mortske.
31:37 relaxing holidays = work. I know the feeling. But I choose it, it’s what I love to do. I see you’re the same brother
1st bobcat video is here on UA-cam great watch an excellent story about those brothers
Good deal. I fiddled with diesel just enough to know I love the sound of the old pneumatic starters. Tip of the hat for helping the museum.
I've been to Notrees, TX and didn't see one their either. Keep up the great work sir.
Thank you for being there for the ol’ Forman community!
Enjoyed your video Mortske.
@18:20 I live in Reading, Pennsylvania and I take personal pride that someone from the Dakotas knows this small ass town I absolutely love it here
Awesome!
Nice job getting her going!
Great video again Mortske. You learn something new everyday. My rule with Diesel engine's, Black smoke, excess fuel, White smoke, Air. Blue smoke, Trouble. The to much talking comment, Probley likes the book's with lots of pictures. Lol.
Wow.. pretty darn sweet service truck! It looks like her cherry hasn't even really been broken yet. Nice!
Cool video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Well didn’t get a Monday video but this is even better. Love watching people help others. Thanks mortske. I’m a big car lover but nothing beats watching old machines run too.
Thanks very much fun as always 😊
Still have my Vise Grips with the 40 year old acid burns. Had to run with those under the hood for far longer than I like to admit.
Nice job on the skid steer in Mortske
Carry-on
You might want to take some of the more interesting home-builds at the museum to elaborate on. It would be great content.
Good suggestion
That thing is in such good shape. wow
Yes glad you are giving back too the community you are a good person for that. I have never thought of using a hose clamp like that but it would work. Love your videos keep up good work!
You gotta do what you gotta do!
I hope the museum has you play with some more of their exhibits.
I used a hose clamp to hold a wheel on the axle of a furniture dolly. The lock washer thing got lost in the grass. Hose clamp gang.
I saw one on an engine stand wheel last week!
@@moremortskerepair4354 Ha, nice
Good Job Mortske I Knew you could do it, I love those inserts in the videos 😜 they Crack Me Up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Till Next Time My Friend.
Cool I just found this video because the same machine came up for sale near me on fb marketplace. Never seen one before and needed to know more
I can relate to the whole "I'm not much good at that relaxing thing everyone talks about" thing. Right there with you. That Bobcat is pretty cool, never saw one quite like that with the 6 wheels.
The place is shaping up nicely--hope the museum has a great season Mr. M!
never seen such a unit before wonder how well they worked. nice job getting her going for them and us. cheers morts.
this was different, glad you could donate your time to your community and that you could make a difference.
Good show
I appreciate that
This is going to be good 👍
That’s a nice camera your using its a super clear picture
Hey mortski, I’ve been watching your videos for many years. I gotta hand it to you you did good. I enjoy all of your videos. They’re just fun without being nasty. Keep up the great work.
I appreciate that
That thing's pretty neat!
Hey Mortske🖐, that was interesting. Always good to give
back to your community whenever possible. Thanks again and have agoid evening✌️
Same to you!
I feel ya on the work thing. I have a full time job, a side business repairing small engine stuff, and I am renovating a house for fun, all while being disabled. I would go crazy if I sat still for long.
Good job Mort
You should make a t-shirt that says “ you can tell by the way it is” lol
Well here I was thinking I'd be dealing with Mortske and Duff withdrawal this week. 😊
Helping out the community you're good people sir.
Awesome 👌
Those filter wrenches are also good for opening your pickle jar.
good to know!
A "duetche tool" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good job getting her running, Mort! And of course you gotta do the "skid steer donut" 👍
well yeah!
your a good kid Mortske
Thank you for your content. I enjoy it very much.
Thanks for releasing the second channel video a couple days early. You're a standup guy Mortske!
That actually is a pretty rare unit...all Bobcats used Kubotas prior to the Doosan buyout..first unit I've ever seen with an Isuzu...cool unit..thanks for sharing
Oh man they had Ford, Perkins, Peugot, Onan, Wisconsin, Deutz and several other engines
@More Mortske Repair yeah, actually you're right...I have seen a few a few gassers too, that used Wisconsins and ford 2.3's..but those were units from the late 70s early 80s...
Another great video and you did an awesome job on that yellow bobcat.
Well done.
Hey Mortske🍻and Duff🦴
When you were climbing in and fastening your seat belt, for some reason Super Dave Osborne flashed through my mind..lol
Pretty cool 6 wheel bobcat ! Thanks for sharing it ! Take care Duff & Sir !
You would think a Bobcat Engineer could figure this thing out😂. My buddy had one of those for his forestry business and it got the daylights beat out of it due to falling branches.
those locking pliers defiantly used to be military. They put that code on there to track them in a computer system so when you are done with your tools at the end of the day they can be accounted for after you turn them back in to the tool custodians.
ahhhh
Love your videos, but. enjoy a holiday once and a while man. Keep up the good work.
The forestry package they offered has a hydraulic system that operated the rear axle to steady it while working up and down hill. They were based off the 843 models of the 80s. They were made in 1985 and 86.
Good to know
What an awesome surprise, it almost feels like Christmas! Thank you!
Happy holidays!
Awesome cool machine 🎉🎉🎉❤❤🤍🤍💙💙
Your wealth of information is truly amazing. Thank you for your investment in time each week 😊
No matter what Puddin said last nite!😆
Pike lumber in northern Indiana had a few of these. One had an orchard attachment to shake fruit out of trees. They were orange and mid 80's in age. They look pretty cool decked out with the roof a/c and Kraco tape deck.. lolol
Good stuff!
Cool cat thanks for sharing 👍💨💨
I actually do a good bit of work up at the Doosan facility in NC. They do final assembly of Bobcat skid steers, minis and sub compact tractors up there. They are more or less doing the final touches on a 70ish million dollar addon to that facility right now. I go up there to work on any CAT engines they have troubles with after assembly in new air compressors, or if they have any issues with refurbished units they build up there.
They call them tree shears. We use them for small trees in the north lol
Nice work, Mortske!
Excellent video MORTSKE REPAIR :) also yes Bobcat amazing fix up and bet you enjoy working on it!
Just think of all the wonderful things you’re going to learn about vintage one of a kind machinery that you’ll forget because it’s vintage and one of a kind! Lol
Never seen your vids before but this was entertaining. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed!
If you want new locking pliers, Malco Eagle Grip is what you want. USA made in Dewitt, they are hella good. Unfortunately they quit making them, but still have inventory for sale and will honor the warranty.
good to know!
Yes, The video I've been waiting for! 😁👍
job well done sir.
This was a great video. You did a great job on that Bobcat! Yay Mortske!
I've never seen such a piece of equipment either. It lit off fairly easy, and sounds damn good. I was pissed off all day but then you go and redeem yourself with a second channel service call. Great job as always and the cool video 👍✌️🇺🇲
Yay! Always worth the wait 😊just the greatest channel ♥️
That is one great service truck. Well done to that feller. 👍
Diesel engines are easier to work on than gasoline engines as the compression and injectors control the spark instead of points! Skid steers are the most sold construction equipment today! I have a Bobcat 530 made in the 1980s with an open center pump and a 19.2 hp Wisconsin 4-cylinder engine. The best machine I have ever owned. It has 4000 hrs. on it so far!
Pretty neat old rigs.
That was awesome. The old derv fired into life happily. Sounds healthy apart from its self bleeding Hydraulic system. Sorry Greta!
Aww Mortske you didn't go there 😂. He is gonna get you back. I can't wait ❤
Deutsch diesel I worked on those motors on a few genie boom lifts. Back in the day. 👍💯🍺. Thanx for posting a video 👍💯🍺🍺
You bet
runaway diesels are usually from blown turbos, causes the motor to get an alternate fuel source that you typically cant cut off, revs high from the fuel source and blows up cuz ppl dont cut the air source
Quite a machine great video mortske !
I like that hose clamp trick.
I don’t know why my name has -of9oi on the end of it. When did that start?
Wow that is so close to Ellendale! I’ve been to Oakes and Forman
Nice work. We all need machines like that.
No doubt!
Super cool.
Love the different videos…
Nice work Morske like duff good dog
Appreciate it
Cheer up my day awesome
