    This is one of the best drum videos, and genuinely one of the best UA-cam videos of all time. Seeing the pure joy and passion, this guy has while playing is not only a joy to watch but is also inspiring. Not to mention, the drumming itself is outstanding. Even with a drum pad the groove is impeccable

    Rudiments are not boring at all. Especially if you add your voice effect in between 👉🏼1 min 59.

    @Marcus, I’m actually getting back to snare drumming again - after 35 years off. And I couldn’t forget this inspiring video after seeing it last year. This is one of my favorite training sequences! I’m not there yet with the 32nd notes and the diddle combos. But each day I’m seeing a little improvement. Thanks again!

      @@marcushawkinsmusic I've been using some of my coronavirus-enforced "vacation" time to do Stick Control exercises on the drum pad. Unfortunately they don't sound anything like yours!

Yoh have created amazing exercises for those who want to bring their technique to the highest level. You have really helped me out and I will keep using your tips.     You should use match grip rather than traditional grip, because traditional grip can hurt your fingers if you put too much pressure on certain part of them.

      marcus hawkins nice I got a drum set spot at Audio Theater in 2019 but I couldn’t do it because I didn’t have money. I’ve met Shane and the rest of the staff at Mystique they’re awesome, I’ve got a lot of friends that march mystique every season.

      at the time of this video I had been playing for about 15 years. from 15-22 I practiced everyday for about 5-7 hours (not all on snare drum). hope this helps. Happy drumming!

      Defy Gravity it’s the same as race car drivers. They have work through the different speeds of driving and thinking at those speeds. I’ve just been through the same thing for drumming
