Fireplace Mortar Wash & Concrete Hearth Makeover.

In this video I describe how to make a wood mantel, concrete Hearth and whitewash a fireplace. This gives the fireplace more of an updated look and makes it look a little more cottage like. Over all I'm very pleased with how it worked out. The whitewash or German Smear took about 8 hours which was longer than I had hoped. This same process can be used to make a concrete counter top.
