- Santa Monica Studio Creatives is a series focusing on 3 unique individuals of our family whose journey to our studio is as inspiring as their creative talents within. While their stories are candid, raw, and anything but normal, their expert crafts and collaboration within our creative walls hits the heart of what matters most to our studio culture - the team is everything.
In episode 1, we explore one of our Sr. Staff Character Artist's, Rafael Grassetti, his journey from his roots in Brazil to here at Santa Monica Studio, and his craft in 3D modeling that is helping to bring our studio on to the PlayStation 4.

Rafael Grassetti, eu lembro a primeira vez que vi um trabalho seu e posso
dizer, que eu já sabia quem você seria e agora ver isso é simplesmente
incrível, um talento construido por esforço e muita crença, o sentimento
de busca que poucos aqui que se dizem BR vão entender...nascer em uma
nação na qual não se valoriza a arte ser além do que se pode ser, você tem a
melhor clay que existe, o sentimento que cristaliza a vontade de Criar,
um dia Raf espero poder agradecer pessoalmente toda a inspiração que
você entregou.
pois é cara, isso tbm me inspirou!
Esse Rafael é referência quem me dera um dia trocar uma ideia com essa lenda.

This dude is inspiring. I wish I had the drive when I was younger to pursue my dream of making art. I’m now about to be 35... have a family and have never felt the drive to create stronger. I can only hope to be able to share my art in a productive way still with the rest of my life. I definitely didn’t make it easier for myself waiting so long. If there’s one thing I can say to anyone on the fence to pursuing a career in the arts in any form or fashion it’s.
DON’T SECOND GUESS YOURSELF. IF YOU HAVE THE PASSION, START NOW!
3 years had passed, and because of him now GoW 2018 was called one of the best Game's Art Direction for this year, past, and so on. Well done and Thank You Mr Rafael Grassetti.

I swear Santa Monica studios is one of the few studios that actually cherishes their workers and their fans and try to keep everyone happy that's why I love them so much they try to accomplish great things.

This is the dream of many people , this guy has my respect , I am Brazilian and would also like to work with games but do not know where to start
+Lucas Marinzeck Have a look at the PSX 2014 and 2015 videos that Sony studios did, usually they give little nuggets of wisdom on how different people got into working for these studios.
You could even have a go at making your own indie games.
Learn as much about game creation as you can and have a go at the things that interest you.
