I'm on vacation until 23rd, hope you guys enjoy this guide and all the other content on my channel until then. I'll continue the beginner chaos witchblade (among other things) once I'm back.
Grim dawn is one of my top played games on steam. I have played many meta builds, tons of home-brewed characters, created even more mules, however your educational content is still so fun to watch. I always find something new for myself in them and your stream vods. You and mikefic are the goats of grimdawn content creation. Keep it up 👍
Thanks for being our master in this imba Game, thanks for the effort on the videos too, information and structure are just perfect. Enjoy your holidays mate
Very nice job sir, this is worth several watches to squeeze out all the good info, thx again for all your efforts to help the rest of us improve our overall game.
Thank you for this. I'm an adult with a job and don't have time to trial and error for a build I'd enjoy from scratch. And playing these games on soldier as always for the first time is just blegh by now
Fantastic video. I can tell you know what you are talking about. Very easy to follow along. I also like how you gave advice for if people might not feel like respecing every single time it's technically optimal.
Ha, nice I literally just started levelling my Conjurer and was planning around using mostly the same items (some different devotions though). So, happy to hear it's end game viable and I'm not just wasting my time here haha (still relatively new to the game). Guess I'm gonna go see how far I can get on my own, but really good to know I can just look at your builds for some inspiration if needed, so thanks a lot :)
Your videos are great and very informative - have been very helpful in pushing my characters further than I could before. You sometimes speak very quickly though and it’s hard to keep up even with subtitles on - an example would be when you discuss devotions in this vid
I was trying out Ritualist first as pet build, then found it too boring, tried vitality caster and it was decent but still didn't feel good (I wanted to do something in between the cooldowns and drain essence felt weak - maybe the problem is I tried all the vitality skills except ravenous earth!) so I ended up building around the Spectral Warmaul. Using Siphon Souls, Wendigo Totem, Ill Omen, Devouring Swarm, plus other disease procs from the equipment is more than enough for clearing crowds, then I use savagery and WPS for single target damage. Focus on bleed and vitality damage, and Devouring Swarm for resist reduction. Not sure how great it will be later on, but I'm having fun with it!
super solid build sir! I'm loving the game because of this. I just completed NORMAL VETERAN and the ELITE is now available. Question: is it even worth doing nomal-veteran? is much better to jump right ahead to elite? Looking forward for your advise :) cheers
guide's been a blessing so far, got a conjurer up to 72 thanks so much, what would you suggest in terms of putting skills in my devotions? I have 55 points in and forgotten god unlocked, my eyes are a bit bad cant quite make out what you have in the lvl 60-100 endgame devotions
@@Xromiq It's pretty good aswell and has some great builds, but if I had to rate it together with Conjurer and Ritualist, I'd have to give it 3rd place.
I played a vitality conjurer to around level 55 and it felt really powerful but I hated constantly spamming 10 buttons. It was too many active abilities. Does ritualist or cabalist fix that?
Occultist has 4 buttons to press (Curse of Frailty, Sigil of Consumption, Bloody Pox, Blood of Dreeg), Shaman has 3 (Devouring Swarm and usually 2 out of Wendigo Totem, Storm Totem and Grasping Vines) and Necromancer has 4 (Ravenous Earth, Call of the Grave, Mark of Torment and then either Bone Harvest or Siphon Souls). So there's not really that much difference between the classes, but you can always skip some of the less important skills (like Siphon Souls, Bone Harvest, Bloody Pox, Grasping Vines and Storm or Wendigo Totem depending on gear/build) at the cost of only a minor DPS loss.
14:00 you are talking about the end of act 2 and act 3. since this is a beginner guide, i dont know what those are. Where is act 2? how do i know if i'm near the end of it?
Grim Dawn's acts are indeed not that well presented. Act 1 ends with Warden Krieg. Act 2 starts with you repairing the bridge leading north-west out of devil's crossing towards arkovia/cronley's gang and ends at the smuggler's pass with the troll voldrak as the final boss. Act 3 starts in deadman's gulch with Ulgrim's quest and end's with the boss Karroz in Darkvale gate. Act4 consists of everything from the Asterkarn Road to the Necropolis. Ashes of Malmouth has acts 5 (gloomwald&ugdenbog) act 6 (lone watch & the city of Malmouth) while Forgotten Gods is considered one entire long sideact, or also referred to as "act 7".
I went conjuror, I'm getting killed extremely easily at lvl 28 trying to get to the Mountain Deeps (im still pretty far away from it) am i in the wrong spot? I fight these mini bosses that kill me in two shots on NORMAL. what am i doing wrong??
Are you trying to fight the bosses in the pit in arkovia? Those can two shot many builds :D try removing fevered rage for those bosses, if you're using it.

Have a great time dude, thx for the lastest uploads lately, great stuff. Cheers!

I didn't know people still made videos on Grim dawn now, and I'm not disappointed

My first build ever, was necro/druid and did have a wonderfull start, all the way trough late/end-game content. Easy and fast to lvl 100! 👍
Hot damn what a coincidence... picked up GD again after awhile and rolled a ritualist last night. The timing is a little uncanny.
28:50 Should mention that Ungoliax amulet is also an option if are going to do Pine Barrens.
True, rly nice for vitality necros.

These guides are amazing! Keep em up ❤

Sounds great, fun is the most important factor after all! :D
I just started Witchblade.... LVL 18. I should wait for this BUILD ;)
15-40 level act 2 wow. I liked getting blue items from bosses so much that i'm already 29 and still beating Krieg.
Thanks so much for your excellent guide!

Actually got a question, you use 2 seal of might components. I thought the same buff can not stack? Wouldn't that be one too many then?
Component auras can actually stack.
@@rektbyprotoss I see. cool, thanks for the help :)

Open the grimtools links in the description and press "D" to open up the devotion page (S for skills).
Hey @rektbyprotoss. Can you explain why the level 100 version has Seal of Might components, and not for example Seal of Blight?
Hm how'd you get enough cunning for the bone blade
In your opinion, out of these three class combinations which one is the absolute best vitality caster class?
Well on the current patch I would say conjurer is the tankiest, but ritualist is overall the best.
@@rektbyprotoss what about the cabalist?
@@Xromiq It's pretty good aswell and has some great builds, but if I had to rate it together with Conjurer and Ritualist, I'd have to give it 3rd place.
Did you tried superbosses with this endgame conjurer build? It's viable for all content?
Lvl 100 conjurer doesn't have any active on Dying God, do we not want to use the active (Hungering Void)?
Could you make a build based on the Phasebreaker? Warlock? Cadence battlemage? Something else?
Hy man. Nice video as always. Just one question : kymons chosen or death vigil with vitality build? Thanks for advance
It doesn't really matter that much for vit caster tbh.
@@rektbyprotoss oh OK, I just wandered that maybe there are better stuff with death vigil in the faction vendor

Where can I get the blueprint: Mythical Pestilence of Dreeg? I just have one for sword and couldn't loot the one for necklace for some time
Is this build still.viavke these days please good sir ?
Yes.

Putrid necklace no longer has +1 to occultist skills. Just blood of dreeg. At least none of the ones i've got do.
That's true for low levels, on higher levels it still gives +1 occultist

which class combo is the most solid option?
For HC, Conjurer is the tankiest. Ritualist & Cabalist have a little more dps.
What the oppressor combination, sir?
Oppressor (Necromancer+Oathkeeper ) variant with Ravenous Earth as main skill is also very good on current patch.
