Lots of whining from Sandro as usual.

It is normal to have different criteria, perspectives, and opinions among the best in the world. What is important to remember is that both sabre fencers are extraordinarily talented and have reached their current positions through hard work, effort, and winning competitions due to their outstanding skills. Undoubtedly, both of them deserve the respect of everyone for their incredible achievements.

A great match but a couple of gripes:
Bazadze removes his mask after most of the points and seems get tips from Bauer just as often. Szilagyi, understandably, does not seem to appreciate it.
The last call looks bad: by the lights, Szilagyi's light comes on from his initial attack, not his remise.

Completely agree with your observation, I believe it's a strategy he uses to buy time and focus by listening to his coach. I think everyone who has practiced fencing finds ways to manage time when needed, without exceeding the regulations. It's something common and normal that everyone does. The most important thing is for the referees to work with that and be attentive. A few years ago, you couldn't remove your mask without reason, it would result in a card. Nowadays, it's become more lenient. As for the last touch, I can't clearly see if Szilagyi touches first; the angle shown in the replay doesn't let me see with precision.
