I shudder to think of the other innocent people that devil convicted. Somebody could do a Phd thesis on the list of those injustices.
I will mention this case to my friend who is doing his phd.
Hopefully he lives outside of the colonies. It would be a shame, after all that hard work, to not receive a pass mark.@@Liza-cl2gb
And title it "Ceartais mo Thóin!" 🇮🇪💚🙈🙊🙉
Rough justice is a fantastic series on UA-cam of wrongly convicted in early 90s , never seen this episode though, you are a terrific channel better than anything u'll see on Netflix etc thank U 4 all the uploads, always riveting.
It was Michael stone fault a week before at the funerals for mairead Sean and dan McCann🇮🇪32
"Diplock!"... DIPSH*T MORE LIKE!!!!🇮🇪🇮🇪💚
A very sad story for the British Soldiers and for the person accused of their murder. He was obviously very suggestible, and cruelly treated by the British “Justice” system.
The side of the oppressed is always the side to be on. I still go back and watch the video now and then.@@fistingendakenny8781

Hey thanks so much for this upload.
Rough Justice was a fantastic BBC programme, I’ve been trying to track down as many of them as I can.
Do you know where any of the others could be accessed like this one and the others already on UA-cam? I’ve contacted BBC archives and BFI archives but no luck, only the few that have made their way to UA-cam via VHS
No idea my friend - If there were more made on this place I should have them.
@ATroubledLand no hassle cheers for this upload anyway, great stuff
My family member was convicted without jury trial plus the witnesses (touts) wasn’t aloud to be crossed examined , keep the peace ✌️
So sorry this happened to your family member.
I will never forget watching this unfold on the tv with my family it was so hard to watch, my mum started crying and said that her ached for the mothers of those 2 soldiers, we are a catholic family but can assure you that what unfolded was not done in our name it was absolutely sickening.
If I was a juror on pat kane I'd definitely would return NOT GUILTY
RIP to two soldiers who died fighting a war in a foreign land .
The Brits shouldn't have been any where near the funeral...It was well publicised..
I think the crown judge knowingly made the decision of guilt in order to have an obvious focus of blame that would misdirect attention away from the security forces inability or unwillingness to rescue 2 of its own soldiers from the most disgusting of murders.
Why did the car reverse out onto the main road Infront of the funeral strange
The soldiers accelerated down a slip-road to the left of the cortege but the road was blocked. They then had to reverse to try and find another way out of there but taxis blocked their path.
I know the soldiers didn't deserve to be killed, but why did they interrupt a funeral procession?
That is the unanswered question, as soldiers they knew what was going on and couldn't unintentionally of been there. Only the two soldiers know why there were there but after the attack a week earlier by Michael stone you can't blame the crowd of people fearing that they were once again under attack. Was that why the two soldiers were there?
No I reckon they were part of MRF that’s why they were there spying , I reckon the mrf were at the massacre the week before aswell
Under cover... nothing new there mo chara!
God only knows
@@davidjames6551wonder if they was under cover sas
thanks ATL
Diplock courts were criminal courts in Northern Ireland for non-jury trial of specified serious crimes ("scheduled offences"). They were introduced by the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1973 and used for serious and terrorism-related cases during the Troubles. The Justice and Security (Northern Ireland) Act 2007 ended the automatic use of non-jury trials for scheduled offences but they are still used in Northern Ireland upon certification by the Director of Public Prosecutions on a case-by-case basis.
"Diplock?"... Dipsh*ts more like!🇮🇪
@@saoirseclarnimhuiris7910 I concur.
Crazy shit; mind reading helicopters. Blimey, we'll all be up for 'conspiracy' in a 'dipshit' court ( cheers mate), guilty or not.....
😆
LOVE THE TITLE. MR JUSTICE. THATS A JOKE 😭🙉🙊🙈
Provisionals over all campaign ultimately futile ..Intel well and truly had them boxed in...
so has he ever been released from gaol pat kane? its crazy that he's there.
All were released under the terms of the GFA
@@ATroubledLandi thought that, obviously, after i posted, but in actual fact he was released on appeal in 1997. Ironically he was cleared in his absence as the prison van got 'caught up in some bad traffic'.
@@JimboBond71 1997 - he spent many years inside then :/

Is that co accused Sean Kelly the same guy from ardoyne that was with Tommy begley at the chip shop a few years later ?
Carswell only died this year. He was a supporter of the scout movement. Uh huh.
Sounds like January 6th. The video alone can not specify any individual with certainty.
Especially the agent provacateurs.....nothing changes., eh?
Why did the IRA members drive them to the car park and then get out of the taxi? It allowed the corporals the opportunity to try and escape.
Was the plan for the IRA gunman to shoot them whilst they were inside the taxi?
The touts of the north
A english view to this country the war they started
I remember coming home from school and watching this day on the news.this is long before sky tv and internet.i can't find word's to explain what that time was like to grow up in .if the Provo IRA had of handed the two brits over to the prest it would of got them so much surport from all over the world all i can say is it was a sad Day and another Ireland's shame day
