My gto made 390 with headers intake and exhaust and tune I felt like my shop was pushing it with the tune making that much. I'm glad I saw this it makes me feel better
Would adding a K/N filter to my 2014 base Stingray require a tune? Have not heard any detonation at all, run 93 octane all the time. Thanks Bob from FL.
I had a 97 WS6 where when I got to work and backed into my spot, the top bolt came off the shifter. I thought my shit was toast, but thankfully it was just the bolt. Wasn't loose before hand though, which I find weird.
I have a 2010 Camaro SS was tuned by someone else does 430 rwhp seem low for cammed, full exhaust, stock intake, ported tb and intake ? And it also make 530 rwhp on a 150 shot. Been thinking of changing the exhaust and new plug wires/spark plugs and get it retuned. Any thoughts?
I have a 2014 Camaro 1SS (L99 auto) with 70,000 miles. It has a K&N CAI, BBK shorty headers into the stock cats…took off the resonator and ran a 3” Borla Atak cat back system with an X pipe. After having the parts put on, I decided to go to our local 1/8th mile strip. After putting $3000 in bolt ons, I expected a noticeable difference. I was very disappointed, to say the least, with the barely noticeable difference. I’ve seen most of the videos y’all have and it seems like in order to actually take full advantage of the performance parts, I need to have my SS tuned. Should I purchase a hand held tuner (If yes, could you recommend one for me), or take her to one of our local performance shops and have her put on the dyno and tuned there? I am still running the factory throttle body, fuel injectors, fuel pump(s?), intake manifold and plugs/wires/coil packs. I’m a disabled veteran on a fixed monthly income who just recently went through a divorce. Being blessed enough to own a “muscle car”, and having the ability to work on it has been the best mental health therapy imaginable. If y’all could possibly help me figure my car out, I’d appreciate it sincerely
I went to SAM but not to learn to tune. I flew the owner of the Tuning school out to personally teach me the software. I already had a lot of the knowledge on what engines liked etc. most of it was learning the software
depends on what you want to tune and what software you want to use. If you want to tune GM's and domestics for the most part, get HP Tuners. Then you should learn how the GM ECU's work. Greg Banish makes a couple books that take you through the way the ECU calculates airflow, fuel etc. Then from there you should START TUNING. Experience is everything. The tuning school makes a few books as well. They are more table specific opposed to theory. Finally, read as much as you can on the HPTuners forums. Its tough to get info out of people but there is a lot of documented information on there, especially the old systems. Good Luck.
I enjoy RaceProvenMotorsports more than Hennessey Performance. The content is funnier, more relaxed and not overwhelming.
And RPM is not a scamming and thieving business.
Doesn't hurt that Hennessey is an overpriced scam place with a terrible track record and packages that don't make sense.

Have the same Hurst shifter on my SS. It literally fell off as soon as I bought it. Have to tighten it every few months lmfaoo

What are the cam specs? An auto and a mild cam would be about 430-440 I think. Big cam maybe 450. Manual would be 460-470
