Civil Society Group seizes opportunity in budget bill return

The Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group has said the President's decision to return the Appropriation Bill of 2024 to Parliament for reconsideration could be a great opportunity for the government to withdraw less productive expenditure. The group's Executive Director, Julius Mukunda, says the 2024/2025 financial year budget contains multiple budget allocations that could otherwise be reallocated to more pressing sectors, benefiting only a few individuals.
