  • In this Frontiers Forum Deep Dive session on 29 May 2024, Dr Luca Brocca, Dr Lorenzo Alfieri, and Dr Mariette Vreugdenhil explored the groundbreaking Digital Twin Earth Hydrology Platform and how it can enhance flood and landslide prediction and optimize water resource management in the face of climate change. They were joined for a panel and question and answer session by Dr Giriraj Amarnath, and Prof Ilias Pechlivanidis.
The session brought together the authors of the Frontiers in Science lead article ‘A Digital Twin of the terrestrial water cycle: a glimpse into the future through high-resolution Earth observations’ to discuss steps for expanding these digital twins to a global scale.
