- Need to put in those delicate tiny details? Are you smudging your wet paintings? Are you having a difficult time calming your hand? Use a Mahl stick! The traditional painting & drawing aide to steady your hand for precision and control.
The origins of the Mahl stick go back to the German and Dutch artists of the mid 17th century. Mahl stick is derived from "Malstock" or "Maalstok," which translates to 'painter's stick.'
But the real reason you are reading this description is because you are wondering why did I have to make it into an old cable informercial. Okay...okay... I guess growing up in the 90's with all those late night informercials DID affect me. I really should have just gone to bed. Anyway, please don't try to order one. Just go down to your local hardware store and pick up a wooden dowel. You'll be glad you did.

I thought I was the only person left that still had a vcr. You probably respectfully obtained it recently for creativity films. I, on the other hand, still have vhs tapes and why throw away the vcr? It’s very happy on its shelf in the garage, where all good little vcrs go in their old age.
(No kidding, same shelf area of the garage, I also have a skull who is probably a relative of Skully! ((Full disclosure, these garage shelves are actually my video creating props’ organizing area. But the vcr is still a hoarder holdover ;) )) My skeleton head doesn’t have a name, but she does have the top vertebrae of her spinal cord. And a brain. I got her for her brain ((I sure didn’t get her for her body, amirite? ::elbow elbow nudge nudge::)))
