@@sketchartist1964 it’s hard to see at first but the more you paint the better you become at seeing your errors. One thing I don’t do is use ivory black straight from the tube I usually mix it with another color. Another error is using black to darken a color, in this video I explain how to mute or lessen the intensity of a color.

Some people argue that black dirty's up the colors. How can one tell if one is over doing it with black?

I find ivory blacks low Tint strength make it easier to add gradually. It leans toward blue when mixing this pallet.
That would be 4 colors not 3 as U stated Correct ?
